Lips -NYX - Soft Matte Lip Cream
bmorelikebre 4/28/2011 3:49:00 PM
Darn i wanted to like these! I bought 3 colors when ulta was having a sale but I hate them all. The colors weren't the problem. It's the formula. The texture is all wrong. I am AA and have full lips as well and it definitely settled into my lines. I expected it to have great color payoff but it was way more sheer than i'd like.. I imagined a more opaque finish. It was just plain DULL. :(

Eyeliner -Femme Couture - Gel Eyeliner in Expresso
bmorelikebre 3/13/2011 9:45:00 PM
Holy Crap! My new HG eyeliner. for $4.49 I totally expected the product inside to be all dried out and clumpy but I took a chance and so glad I did! This gel liner is super smooth and creamy. Like other reviewers said, it's a little "wetter" than MAC fluidline or Bobbi Brown but but definitley not runny or anything. It's awesome. The Expresso color is more like brown/black. I wish it was more on the brown side but oh well. I will never by Blacktrak fluidline again as long as I can get my hands on this femme couture.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC - Matte
bmorelikebre 4/28/2010 7:39:00 PM
I think Matte is a great product but I don't see a difference between MAC Matte and Monistat Chaffing Gel... The active ingredients are the same in each so once I realized that, I quickly returned the $18 tube of Matte. Now, I've heard that the Monistat has been discontinued and if this is true, I'm probably going to have to go back to Matte. Sephora also makes a smoothing primer that is the exact same as Matte for the same price. The only difference is the Sephora brand comes in a glass bottle with a pump. Great product but for $5-$ 6 you should definitely be able to find something in the drugstore with Dimenthicone in it to keep your face matte :)

Concealers -LORAC - Cover Up C5
bmorelikebre 4/28/2010 7:13:00 PM
I LOVE this concealer!! Actually I don't use this as concealer but the product is great. I actually use the Cover Up C5 to highlight under my browbone. I use a small concealer brush and trace right under my eyebrow and blend down into my eyeshadow..I barely need to use a highlight eyeshadow with this stuff and it gives my eyebrows a chiseled, defined shape. Love love love.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Indianwood
bmorelikebre 4/28/2010 7:04:00 PM
If I ever run out of Indianwood, I'll definitely purchase again. The texture is soooo creamy and on my NW35 skin it shows up more gold than bronze. Layering Indianwood with Goldmine is a knockout!! I can't wait to try it out on someone with darker skin to really see that bronze.

Mascara -Rimmel - Magnif'Eyes Eye Magnifier Eye Opening
bmorelikebre 11/22/2009 8:14:00 PM
This is my HG mascara and I am always trying out mascara and getting samples from Sephora. The HE brands are unnecessary as long as Rimmel makes this kind. It does wonders for length and volume and I dont really have a problem with clumping. The plastic bristles are the BEST. It's probably Rimmel's best product ;)

Loose Powders -Cover Girl - Professional Loose Powder
bmorelikebre 11/22/2009 8:09:00 PM
What a surprise for just a few dollars! I bought this before a last minute wedding job and I was short on cash. My only prayer was that the powder didn't turn out too shimmery on the skin and it didn't! I bought the honey shade #120 and it worked great on several skin tones. The bride stayed matte for hours and she just glowed. The noxema smell isn't too bad for me and the sifter wasn't bad either. The only "upgrade" i would have liked would be a screw on top. I can see this being a problem after a while after it shifts around in my kit.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Deep Sigh
bmorelikebre 11/17/2009 10:41:00 AM
So pretty and lightweight! I've never worn Deep Sigh alone but when it's on top of lipstick it looks great. The pot is definitely deceiving as it looks like a rich burgundy, but it's actually very sheer and nice. It's absolutely a winner for a fall color choice.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Illusionary Burning Ambition mineral duo
bmorelikebre 11/17/2009 10:37:00 AM
I love this duo even though the brown half is very similar Tempting. The light and the dark half together create a shimmering khaki green color... it's really pretty! I think it would work with most skin tones.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Landscape Green Pigment
bmorelikebre 11/16/2009 12:55:00 PM
I love the color of landscape green. It's matte (which I don't usually care for) but this one works out just fine. It does require a lot of packing to get a uniform look over your entire lid. i made a gradiant green eye with landscape on the mobile lid, chartreuse pigment in the crease and Plumage on the outer corners. It turned out really pretty. I said I would buy this again but then again, maybe not because pigments don't ever seem to run out!

Lipstick -MAC - Propagate
bmorelikebre 11/16/2009 12:48:00 PM
I scored this beauty at the CCO in my town. I love it! Just when I thought I owned all the peachy/shimmery/nudes I could stand, I found this! I wear it with MAC Tendertones lipbalm in Hush Hush on top and it's gorgeous with my medium/tan skin tone.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment - Genuine Orange
bmorelikebre 11/13/2009 10:39:00 AM
Did I get a bad batch??? i love doing looks with bright colors and an orange pigment was definitely needed in my kit. I swiped this Genuine Orange on my eye over and over with nothing but a washed out remnant of an orange color remaining. I tried to create an eyeliner with MUFE eye seal and the Genuine Orange and got a tad bit of a better result but more pumkin-y than true orange. I tried with Visine and Fix + too. Nothing! Just gross. These matte pigments aren't all that.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
bmorelikebre 10/24/2009 10:46:00 PM
Wow, what a great foundations. This is a preliminary review of this product but so far so good! The color selection is fantastic. They have a shade for every skin color and every undertone. This is a big plus for those of us who usually have to mix two shades of foundation together. My skin is very oily and this oil free foundation was just what I needed to keep my face from getting that "oil-slick" look. The application was smooth and such a flawless finish. I have large pores on my cheek area and the HD foundation really minimized that. I will be trying it with the HD finishing powder in the future with hopes of an even more airbrushed look.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Shadestick in Beige-ing
bmorelikebre 6/24/2009 11:24:00 AM
I am soooo sold on Beige-ing shadestick. First I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance (or others might use UDPP) then I put the shadestick on top, then my eyeshadow. DIDN'T BUDGE! and it made the colors stand out more. This stuff is scary! i went to work at 8AM, played softball from 6-8 and went home... my eyeshadow was still in place. I don't care how much it costs, I'd definitely purchase again.
