So I ran out of my regular cleanser while on my honeymoon. I went to the nearest local pharmacy to re-purchase and they didn't have it. I live on the east coast but was on the west coast where the air is SO much drier. I decided to go with something gentle as my skin is super sensitive and reacts to lots of products. This stuff comes in a great pump bottle and smells wonderful but when I woke up the next morning I was bummed to find a red and chapped face. It looked as if I had a sunburn and had begun to peel from it. Needless to say I ditched the cleanser and went with Cetaphil (my old standby) Ladies, if you have sensitive breakout prone skin please avoid this! P.S. I spent the rest of my honeymoon trying to cover up that red chapped face with gallons of foundation!

Eye Shadow -Jane Iredale - Eye shadow

I reluctantly bought this shadow after a bout of conjuctivitis due to Bare Minerals eye shadows. Initially I didn't think it was due to the shadows but after throwing it all away, waiting for the infection to clear up and re-purchasing all new Bare Minerals it happened AGAIN!! Anyway, these shadows are hard to find in salons so I drove out of my way on the way home from work one night and purchased two single shadows, a brown and light taupe color. In addition to the pure ingedients they are supposed to contain they contain pine bark extract and pomegranite extract. Sounds like it could be highly allergenic but I thought I would give it a whirl. Well.... that lasted about a week before I woke up one morning to bright red and very painful eyes! Arrgggh, what the heck?! I am done with mineral shadows!!! Ladies, save your money on these expensive and messy shadows. They are no better than the drugstore shadows which is what I am going back to now.

Lip Gloss -Laura Mercier - Lip Glace

I was at Sephora the other day using my birthday gift cards and was having a hard time finding a new gloss to buy. I am a die hard MAC lipglass girl so I should have known to just stick with them! This gloss (Brownberry) was such a pretty color in the tube and didn't seem sticky like some glosses can be. I purchased it and slicked some on in the car on the way home. I noticed a little later that my lips started to really tingle and burn, by bedtime I had to smother my lips with lipglass to get some moisture back into them. This gloss is VERY drying and it's surprising because of the supposedly moisturizing ingredients like shea butter. I won't re-purchase this and feel like I wasted my birthday money!

I absolutely love BE blush, my favorite and one I use the most is Joyous Jennifer. It is the perfect coral/pink color for my fair complexion. It has a bit of sparkle to it as well which seems to lighten up the overall make-up look. I had been applying it with a blush brush but decided to try their fan brush and this works much better.
