HG! Among all the makeup I have acquired for a year, this is the only item that's acquired HG status. I never leave home without doing my brows and this brow pencil is heaven sent to me. It's expensive but it's really worth every penny if you find doing your brows really important. Once you have tried and purchased this, you will never go back to any of your other brow products, this beats them all! :)

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream

I ditched my Nars and Smashbox Tinted Moisturizers for this. If you have good skin and need minimal coverage - just enough to even out the skin - this is a good one. This won't work if you need medium to full coverage, of course. I use my fingers to apply this and top it of with Ben Nye translucent powder or Maybelline Dream Matte powder and I'm good to go. It's great for day makeup, it's light on the face and I will definitely repurchase again and again.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

I have oily skin and foundation tends to slide off my face in the first four hours of wear and since I've been reading good reviews abut the Colorstay, I decided to give it a try. I used it at yesterday's wedding and after 9 hours, my makeup is still intact and the foundation sank beautifully in my skin. No sliding off, no need to blot every hour, no oxidizing. It's amazing for someone who has extremely oily skin. Hate that it doesn't have a pump though... But will definitely repurchase!

Brows -MAC - Brow gel in Beguile and Show-off

I'm Asian with black hair and eyebrows and I've been on the hunt for the perfect brow mascara for months. I'm not really a makeup junkie, I just buy those that I need in my kit and since I personally think having perfect eyebrows is a must, I've invested on eyebrow products more than anything else in my makeup kit. I came across Beguile in a blog from another Asian girl with the same hair and eyebrow color as mine and it did wonders on her eyebrows! I just got mine a few days ago and it's perfect! I fill in my brows first with a Shu Uemura Hard 9 brow pencil then set it with the Beguile Brow Set. Color is amazing! It softened my features and the color is just two shades lighter than my hair color. It's perfect, I will repurchase again and again! :)

Blush -Stila - Custom Color Blush

This is my perfect pink blush! :) At first, I was really set on buying a NARS blush but couldn't find the right kind of pink I was looking for. The Stila blush is neon pink on the pan but it's oh-so-lovely on the cheeks. You need to apply it with a light hand, it's highly pigmented and you can easily build up the color on your cheeks. It really gives a natural flush! I'm so in love with it, I think I'm getting the coral one, too! :)

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Allure Velvet #37 L'Exuberante

I bought this lipstick on an impulse. I was actually looking for Mademoiselle but since it's out of stock, my SA suggested I try this. I tried to stay away from bright pink lipsticks due to my fear to look tacky or cheap. But L'Exuberante is so sophisticated because of it's matte finish which I absolutely looove! It brightens up my face and it makes me feel young wearing it. The matte finish doesn't leave your lips dry and it has an amazing staying power, more than 3 hours for me. I purchased it right away and will probably come back for Mademoiselle some other time. I love it and will definitely repurchase! :)

Blush -The Body Shop - Lip & Cheek Stain - 01 Rose Pink

I've recently confirmed that this is one product I cannot live without. I actually stopped using it (for a while) when I learned about the Benetint and Posietint. I loved the Posietint and used it for quite some time but Benetint truly disappointed me. Since I have always loved rosy pink stains, I bought The Body Shop lip and cheek tint again to compare it with my Benetint and to my surprise, The Body Shop's much much better. It's gel like consistency makes it easier to apply and it doesn't leave marks/dots on your face (after blending). It gives me a natural rosy cheek look which I absolutely love. I don't even know why I gave it up to try Benetint. I started using this when I was 18 (I'm 29 now) and now I know this is truly my HG cheek stain. There may be other brands and products better than this but this lip and cheek stain from The Body Shop just works perfectly for me. Hope it does for others, too.
