Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Dr Nick Lowe spot gel
blushmetweetme 8/17/2012 6:05:00 PM
Pleasantly surprised by this product! The key is to apply is several times a day to any spots, and make sure you do NOT TOUCH your spots. I started applying this once to the area of the spot, and then wondering why it wasn't gone in the morning....once I realised that applying this a few times a day banishes spots..it has become HG to me. Really does work, and doesn't dry out, sting or crack skin. It feels gentle, even though I have sensitive skin.

Moisturizers -Clarins - Daily Energizer Cream
blushmetweetme 8/17/2012 5:25:00 AM
Not overly impressed with this product to be honest. When I saw this range had launched, I was expecting clarins quality, for not so clarins prices. Compared to their other serums and moisturizers this is poor. It's chemically, so it kind of stings my skin when its feeling a little bit dry or sensitive, and it's really not very hydrating. I'm not overly keen on the smell either. My advice would be save your money, if you are set on clarins, then invest in a better quality product from one of their more expensive lines.

Highlighters -Jemma Kidd Makeup School - Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Creme Rose Gold

I hate to bring down the great rating for this product, but i feel the need to say that i am not in love with this product. I am fair skinned, and this just does NOT show up on my skin, even in the sun or in strong lighting when it really should. The color, texture, packaging, everything about this product is amazing, but the fact that it doesn't show up, means that i cant even use this as this primary use. Would much rather use a dewy liquid such as NARS copacabana illuminator.

Conditioner -Aussie - Miracle Moist conditioner for dry/damaged hair
blushmetweetme 5/22/2012 5:22:00 PM
Very, very impressed with this stuff. As a devotee to high end hair care like Kerastase and Redken I didn't think I would ever find a shampoo or conditioner with that high end feel to it. But this stuff smells amazing, leaves your hair smelling even better, is moisturizing, and left my dry hair soft and silky. The best drugstore shampoo and conditioner I have ever tried, without a doubt. I don't know if this stuff contains silicone's in it or not..it probably does, but you would never know. It doesn't feel like it contains chemicals unlike a lot of other drugstore/low end shampoo's i buy.

Hate this stuff. Smells like acrylic paint, and goes on like paint. Impossible to look natural with this stuff on. Save your money.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in St. Barts
blushmetweetme 4/14/2012 7:03:00 PM
Stunning taupe bronzer. Great for adding warmth into my NC15-20 skin, by either using it as a blusher or as a contour with my MAC 109 brush. Only complaints, and the only reason for not giving full marks is that the color is not very good for "multiple" use. Nobody wants taupe lips. Also, creases really badly on the eyes, so I would say this is for use on the face only. However, it is so good and works so well on the fact that I couldnt give this stuff less than 4/5. Multiples are expensive, but they last a really long time and are are such good quality in my opinion.

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)
blushmetweetme 4/14/2012 6:58:00 PM
PROS: - Gentle. I have yet to hear of anyone that is allergic to this, or anyone who has found this irritates their skin. - Cheap. Price per ml this is a huge bargain. For those of you who are on a budget but want to enjoy high end quality skincare. CONS: - Doesn't remove strong eye makeup. If i have used Gel eyeliner, or even used an eye shadow and an angled brush this sadly does not remove it. - Not readily available in the UK. I have to pick this up in large quantities in Paris. Why some UK retailers haven't picked up on this yet I do not know!!! Overall I love it, but not for its full purpose. It removes all my foundation and base perfectly, however I do need to use something else on my eyes. I feel like I'm betraying this by not giving it a higher rating..but the fact that It doesn't remove all of my eye makeup is a big no, no for me!!!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - thrrrob

Nice scent, nice packaging, even a nice brush that comes with it...but you DO NOT NEED THIS. I have bought many a makeup product in my life that I rarely use, but this is probably the worst example. You cannot tell you are wearing it and it will not do anything for your complexion. Therefore, seeing as it gave my face no improvement I would have to say spend your money on something that will actually make a difference to your face :)

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Everlong Waterproof
blushmetweetme 4/14/2012 6:46:00 PM
I told myself that I would never convert to High End mascaras but I just fell in love straight away with this! It even SMELLS amazing for goodness sake! This gives me volume and length and separates my lashes at the same time. I have to admit though, although I give this the full 5/5 rating now, I probably wouldn't have given it such a high review a few months back. I found when I initially started using this that it clumped my lashes big time! It felt like my eyelashes were almost weighed down. However, I corrected this with a simple application adjustment, by applying it from the root, and making it fullest at the root, rather than piling on to the ends of my lashes. Another problem I initially had (which I have stopped having now I have changed my application technique) is that this would kind of flake and fall of my lashes after a few hours wear! gross! However, now I have changed my application of this product I have experienced great results! great mascara!!

Fragrances -Burberry - Body
blushmetweetme 4/14/2012 6:35:00 PM
I wasn't planning on reviewing this until I saw the low ratings for this and felt I HAD to step in immediately. I honestly do not understand why this fragrance has had such bad reviews. I love it! I think it is classic and sexy, and I happily wear this for both day and night time. Firstly, presentation. Burberry couldn't have hit the nail on the head any better if they tried with the campaign for this, featuring British beauty Rosie Huntington Whiteley. To me the campaign reflects this fragrance perfectly. It is classic (like the Burberry trench coat), sexy (like Miss Huntington Whiteley) and fun like the cheeky open trench coat she wears in the campaign. The fact that Burberry only uses British Models to front their brand (Emma Watson, Eddie Redmayne, Cara Delevigne, and Rosie of course! to name a few) is something I have always liked. The fact that this is a British brand is reflected all throughout the line and indeed this perfume. The Bottle. Again, excellent job Burberry. Simple, original yet chic. I have to admit that at first when I saw the images of the perfume online I wasn't sure. I thought the shape was an unusual choice and that it didn't stand out as particularly unique to me. However, once visiting the Burberry counter (I actually ended up buying this in Paris instead of London) they managed to convinced me. It really fits in perfectly with the whole image of Burberry, and I can now say that I am proud to sit this on my dressing table!! Now onto the most important part - the Scent. This is probably not a perfume for those of you who like incredibly delicate, subtle and almost understated fragrances. It is quite strong...but not overpowering..just strong in the sense that I don't feel the need to spray my entire body with this for it to be able to last. Me and my mother are both fans of Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh and Philosophy Amazing Grace which are both really light pretty floral scents. I love this perfume, however I must add that my mother does not. She finds it too overpowering, however admits to liking it a lot more once it has settled down. I must say, there is something "powdery" about the scent...which is probably the only criticism of this fragrance that I have. You do have to let it settle for about 5 minutes on the skin before it becomes truly wearable. The lasting power is also incredible. Probably the best I have ever had from a perfume. I can spray this on in the morning (leave the house at 7am) and still be able to smell it on my wrists and clothes when I return at 7pm. That's 12 hours wear!!! The notes that stand out strongest to me are Rose, Amber, Vanilla and Freesia. For anyone who wants to know exactly the formulation of this fragrance: TOP NOTES: Freesia, Green Absinthe, Peach MIDDLE NOTES: Rose, Iris BASE NOTES: Sandalwood, Cashmerean, Musk, Amber, Vanilla The only other thing to mention about the scent itself is body chemistry. Many people have complained that they liked the initial scent of this, but it turned into a "nail varnish" remover smell on them over time. The only way around this is to get a sample. I have not experienced this, and neither have any of my friends that have borrowed this to trial. The only thing that we found was that for a few of us the scent stayed more vibrant and strong and for a few of us it became a more subtle, lighter scent. Price. I must stay this is pretty steep if you look at price per ml. I ended up initially purchasing the 35ml version, to ensure I really liked it before committing to the full 85ml version. However, comparing it to other London based fragrance brands like Jo Malone, the price isn't so bad, and to be honest...the price doesn't even compare to the extortionate prices Tom Ford is charging, which many people happily fork out. Who is this fragrance for? I have to tell you, that I cannot exactly pinpoint who this fragrance is ideally for. I am 18 years old, but i can equally see this as much on a 28, 38, 48 or even 88 year old. Something about the floral notes keeps it young and sexy, and something about the musky base keeps it classic. Burberry have truly made this wearable for all ages. Overall my recommendation is, get a sample or go down to your nearest counter and smell this. I have fallen so in love with it that I am happily recommending it to all of my friends and family! I cannot believe the bad reviews on this!!!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Illusion d'ombre Eye Shadow - Mirifique
blushmetweetme 3/4/2012 5:03:00 PM
Lovely Product. Midnight black with silver/grey glitter particles shot through it. These eye shadows are definitely not the texture I was expecting. If anyone remembers or still uses "Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse", then these are of a really similar consistency. Once they are on they do not budge. The color can either be packed on to get an intense look, or blended out for a really great smokey to eye. I also like to use an angled brush and line my upper lash line with this, as it lasts WAY longer than a standard eye shadow. My only complaint, and the only reason I gave this product 4/5 not 5/5, was that I found the product a little difficult to blend when doing a smokey eye. It sets to quickly, and the color is so intense that its hard to blend out the edges. Panda Eyes comes to mind. However, lovely product and I really want to try some of the other colors!

Hair -Moroccanoil - Glimmer Shine Spray
blushmetweetme 3/4/2012 4:57:00 PM
I liked the glitter particles in my hair, and when applied your hair looks really pretty. However, when sprayed too close it turns hair greasy, it smells absolutely disgusting, and the glitter effect doesn't last for that long. I would still repurchase this however, just because if you need an instant pick me up...this stuff does the trick!

Cleansers -Caudalie - Cleansing Water
blushmetweetme 3/3/2012 5:04:00 AM
This stuff is BRILLIANT! I am on my 3rd bottle of this stuff, and still as impressed with it now as I was on the first. It is gentle, smells beautiful, is effective, and the price tag isn't to much to pay for such a large 200ml bottle. Caudalie makes such beautiful products, and this is just another one to add to the list! Cant live without this in my skincare routine. Perfect for mornings if you are in a rush. I just sweep a cotton pad with some of this over my face, and even though i have dry skin i don't need to apply moisturizer or anything because it's not at all drying. I prefer to use a more thorough cleanser in the evenings, but for the mornings..I can't imagine using anything else now!

Concealers -Laura Mercier - Secret Camouflage
blushmetweetme 2/17/2012 8:16:00 AM
This product works great with a precision brush on individual spots and blemishes. However, it is totally the wrong consistency for under the eyes, and therefore in my opinion does not qualify for full marks. Also, you can not buff it on large areas, eg on your chin, between your eyebrows, because it is really, really drying, and sticks to dry flaky patches. For blemishes this concealer works, I only wish it worked under the eyes too. I would buy this again through just because it works so well on blemishes!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Eyeshadow in Mystery

Such a good multipurpose shadow. I use this for my brows, and in the outer crease, of for a great smokey eye! Really matte and pretty! The MAC eye shadows are also such good prices considering the quality.
