Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush - Mellow Wine 833D

I think this is one of my HG blushes. This color is very natural looking on my NC45 complexion. I love that it is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. One day I wore this in with bronzer I used for light contouring and my BF (who RARELY notices my blush) commented on my cheeks. That right there tells me this is a keeper and will always stay in my makeup bag. Definately worth the money!!

Gels/Soaps -Dove - Dove Nourishing Care Shea Butter Beauty Bar

I recently bought this soap and the wording on the packaging had changed from what is showed above. When I compared the ingredients based on an older package I have at home the ingredients have changed as well. To me the formula is not as creamy as before which is a shame because I LOVED it. I will use up what I have but switch to another version of this brand when it's finished.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Small Powder/Blusher
rated 3 of 5

I bought this brush along with the synthetic buffer. I have a love hate relationship with this one. I works really well for applying pigmented blush so that it doesn't look so vibrant and contours pretty well. What I HATE is the fact that it sheds as others have mentioned and it seems that the bristles on the outside of the brush tend to stick out. I will continue to use but don't think I would recommend anyone buying this.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Synthetic Buffing Brush

I picked this brush up a few days ago while browsing around Target. It's moderately priced for her white handled brushes and appears to be a new addition to her line. As the other reviewer has said it's densly packed with bristles that don't move all over the place when applying product (which I like). So far I have used it to blend out blush on my cheeks when I want a softer look and to apply my cream NYX blushes. I think it's a really good "drugstore" blush to have in your collection.

Mascara -Prestige - My Biggest Lashes
rated 3 of 5
blushingrose 3/29/2012 9:18:00 AM

I have a love hate relationship with this mascara. It does provide excellent volume to my lashes as it claims. The con for me is that the brush is just too big for my lashes. I don't have long lashes and find that the brush is so big it makes application difficult. I would recommend this to someone who has moderately long lashes and needs to add some volume. Maybe I will try using what's left with a smaller brush I have lying around here.

Lip Liners -Jordana - Easyliner for Lips in Silver Lilac
rated 4 of 5
blushingrose 3/16/2012 10:51:00 AM

I just recently revisited this line and I'm so glad I did. I have this color and rock n' roses lipliner. I love the fact that they are in a mechanical pencil form so that takes away the need to sharpen. This color is a beautiful purplish color on my pigmented lips. I pair this with MAC Brave or Hot Gossip Lipstick and it works beautifully together. Will definatley buy again.

Tinted Moisturizer -Clinique - Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer SPF15
rated 3 of 5
blushingrose 12/21/2011 9:51:00 AM

UPDATE: I've decided I'm not in love with this product as I was before. I've tried the NARS tinted moisturizer which I love way better than this. I can just put that on and go. This one takes too much work to get into a desired sheer finish becasue of the thickness. Also, not as crazy about the semi dewy finish. This if perhaps the best covering tinted moisturinzing I've found on the market for my skin. The color match is dead on. It makes my face look more even toned. The staying power is really good and it gives a nice slightly dewy finish to the face. One thing I noticed though is that a little goes a long way. If I apply too much, my skin will start to look darker and oilier over the course of the day as my natural oils come through. For the best results, I lightly dot some over the center of my face and blend outward with my elf flat top powder brush. Since i'm not a big fan of the dewy look, I ususally dust a powder over my face for a natural matte finish. I think this is a good tinted moisturizer to try. I would suggest going lighter with the application at first to see how it wears over the course of the day. It's a great alternative for those who don't want to wear a foundation regularly (like me) but still want to look polished. I will definately rebuy when I run out.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
rated 4 of 5
blushingrose 12/2/2011 9:46:00 AM

As I've gotten older this product has become a mainstay in my cleansing routine. I started using this years ago because I needed a heavier cleanser that didn't leave my face feeling dry. I wish they would come up with a squeeze tube version because I don't like dipping my fingers into the jar. Althought I don't have issues with products breaking me out I still try not to buy one that might aggrevate my skin. Ponds does have some ingredients (beeswax) that might do this but through some type of magic I don't get breakouts. The product does an excellent job of removing makeup and mascara which cuts down on stuff lying around my bathroom. A little goes a long way with this project. If you don't remove well with a warm towel it will leave a sort of filmy feel on your face. To combat this I just use a alcohol free witch hazel toner afterwards and I exfoliate every few days as well. Overall this product does a nice job at cleansing. Pond's must be on to something becasue this stuff has been around forever. I'm sure many of us can remember relatives using it when we were yonger. I will definately keep buying.

Very beautiful blush. Highly pigmented and can be blended to give the most beautiful flush of pink on the cheeks. I dont wear it as much during the summer since I find that it doesnt look as well on me when my skin tans. Will definatley use again in the cooler months.

Lipstick -American Beauty - Enduring Beauty Lipcolor Summer Kiss
rated 4 of 5
blushingrose 7/11/2011 6:18:00 PM

I finally picked this up today at Kohl's so I could stop lusting over it every time I go there. Like everyone mentioned, this will be my perfect summer color. It might just be my HG nude color which I have been trying to find since forever. It's a color I can wear straight out of the tube and not have to worry about how it looks on me. The color has a peachy/golden sheen when applied. Using different lipliners can intensify or mute the overall look of this lippie. I love wearing this with peaches and sumbasque blushes this time of year....a very sexy yet subdued summer look on me. I'm so glad I finally bought this color. I think it will be one I can wear year round.

Lip Gloss -MAC - CremeSheen Over Indulgence
rated 4 of 5
blushingrose 5/15/2011 11:06:00 AM

Love the formula compared to the lipglasses MAC makes. The color is a nice nude for me (NC45). However, as others have mentioned this color can be easily duped (Revlon Nude lusture comes to mind) and because of this I won't repurchase.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara
rated 3 of 5
blushingrose 5/15/2011 11:00:00 AM

I recently bought this in the non-waterproof version at Target. I've recenlty been branching out into regular mascara just becasue it's easier to remove at night and it hasn't gotten hot enough her yet there where I'm afraid it will smear if I'm out. When I first opened the tube the mascara seemed rather thick compared to other formulas I've used. As I applied, it seemed to clump my lashes together because of the thickness. I don't think I'll buy this one again which is a shame becasue the price is very good. Right now Full and Soft seems to be the winner for my in the regular mascara department.

Blush -MAC - sunbasque
rated 4 of 5
blushingrose 5/15/2011 10:56:00 AM

I just bought this blush a few weeks ago and have a sorta love hate relationship with it. I love the fact that it gives my cheeks a sheer color which makes them look flushed inside. Outside however, I can barely see the color but can definately see the shimmer. I like the fact that I can wear this color when I apply bronzer for a more sunkissed looked that isn't so in your face. I find that when I layer this over a more matter or less shimmer color the shimmer isn't as bad. I probably wont repurchase this color becasue I don't see myself hitting the pan anytime soon. Refernce (MAC NC45)

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Pinch Me
rated 5 of 5
blushingrose 5/15/2011 10:51:00 AM

I love using this blush because it gives me a corally color without a lot of shimmer. I'm NC45 and this blush works well for my tone. It's not too bright and can be blended out to give a nice flush to the cheeks. Currently I use it in conjunction to miliani bronzer (used as a contour) in medium. The packaging is typical of all MAC blushes- it works but I feel they look a little cheap. I don't see myself hitting the pan anytime soon because I have so many blushes lying around so I can rotate.

Powder -Revlon - ColorStay Mineral Foundation
rated 3 of 5
blushingrose 1/26/2011 10:24:00 AM

I also bought this recently from CVS at 75% off. First I tried the medium deep. Like everyone else has mentined, the packaging sucks. Luckily I had an empty loose powder container laying around from Sephora. Once I put some in there and used another kabuki brush I fell in love with the results. Over foundation it gives a nice polished finish. Worn alone it's makes my face seem more even toned. I went back to CVS and bought the deep shade for summer use since I like to go up a shade when its warmer and my skin tans.
