Blush -Becca - Creme Blush in hyacinth

I have tried a few creme blushes and I have never liked any of those as much as I do this creme blush from Becca. This has to be the best creme blush ever! Having combination-oily skin, cremes do not very well last that long on me except for this one. Humidity in Manila decreases the staying power of creme blushes on me but not with this one. It lasts almost 8 hours on me and does not require any touch ups at all. Colour is a very pretty red-pink shade that looks gorgeous on the skin, like it somehow mimics how my cheeks look when they are flushed. Doesn't seem to contain much product in a small compact but its pigmentation makes just a little amount go a long way. Definitely a winner in my book that if it were a movie, I'd give it an Oscar.

Blush -Giorgio Armani - sheer blush 10

A lovely peach-pink blush with beige undertones in a sleek, black, matte compact is what you should expect from this blush. It has visible sparkles on the pan but once on the cheeks, it blends wonderfully on the skin and disappears. It is also pigmented and lasts a fairly long amount of time on my combination-oily skin and it is unscented. The texture isn't the greatest and smoothest but that isn't enough reason for me to dislike this blush. The deal breaker for me is that it turns to an unflattering reddish-brown shade as soon as it starts to oxidize on me, which I wish it didn't do. Other than that, it is a nice blush all in all. I cannot say it is a must have but if you get the chance to try it, do so.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bella Bamba

This is a very pretty watermelon pink shade with shimmers that also smells nice. I am usually not into scented makeup but this is one of those blush that I keep sniffing because it just smells nice. Anyway, while this looks absolutely pretty, the shimmers are just too much for me. I am not getting any younger and as I am nearing my 30's, I no longer find anything too shimmery or sparkly on my face flattering (or maybe it's just me) and I now prefer blushes with subtle sheen and glow without the sparkles and glitters. However, I find that due to the light-reflecting properties of the shimmers in this blush, it makes the skin appear smoother with less-visible pores. Still, the shimmers are still a no-no for me. It's a matter of preference, ladies. :)

Lipstick -Guerlain - Kiss Kiss Stick Gloss 902 - Corail des Mers

This is a very pretty coral shade with a hint of pink. It applies smoothly on the lips, neither gooey nor waxy. The color can easily brighten up the face and looks very lovely on the lips. It is not drying and stays on the lips for 2 hours tops. My current favorite lip color but I wish it's not LE so I can definitely repurchase. :)

Blush -Guerlain - Rose Plein Vent
rated 4 of 5
blushingpammy 8/31/2011 1:22:00 PM

This is a gorgeous golden peach-pink blush that has very subtle and fine shimmers. It has 4 different shades that you can swirl or mix and match. I like how it gives my face a healthy glow. And the brush that comes with it is actually quite useful and non-scratchy. As usual, this is housed in a very luxurious packaging but a little heavier as compared to most blush compacts but it's all good. It's just that it attracts a lot of dirt and you can definitely see your fingerprints on it. It also comes with a very nice velvet pouch to keep it from dust and dirt and from dents on the compact. However, the scent is pretty strong. It disappears after a while though but it's not a scent that I dig. It only lasts for about 4 hours which is still fair but I've had longer lasting ones. Touching up won't be an issue as the case is simply divine. Overall a very nice blush. However, I won't buy again because it will take me a very long time to finish because it has 9g of product which makes it worth every cent.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Glaze Stick in Orange
rated 4 of 5
blushingpammy 7/3/2011 2:05:00 AM

This is a reddish-coral shade that isn't orange at all. The intensity of the colour can be built up by layering or can be sheered out by applying just a layer then spreading the color with my pinkie all over my lips. I like that although it is glossy, it isn't in any way sticky. It has golden shimmers but does not feel gritty and annoying on the lips. I like using it on its own as it looks more natural and I am all for the natural look. It brightens the face too! The best thing is this does not dry out my lips. Lasting power isn't great though, since this is not sticky and does not adhere on the lips. I don't mind reapplying though as I can apply this with just my pinkie even without a mirror. While the whole concept of a lip gloss in crayon/stick form is great, I find that it is not very economical as you waste a lot of the product whenever sharpening it. I don't think it is hygienic to use what has been sharpened off either. Overall a very nice lippy to own if you want a non-sticky gloss with a shade that brightens up your face and make you look polished. But I don't think I would repurchase since I prefer tinted lip balms and the whole wasting of product thingie when sharpening it isn't great.

Powder -Chanel - Vitalumiere Eclat de Chanel Compact Makeup
rated 5 of 5

I am used to using Shiseido and Kanebo powder foundations because I fell in love with the silky texture and how finely milled the powders are and was really satisfied with those. But for some reason, I couldn't stop lemming for a Chanel powder foundation and finally decided to buy one. All the other powder foundation variants are out of stock (bad Chanel Phils.) and the sales assistant then recommended this to me. I initially had my heart set on buying the Mat Lumiere Extreme but it's not available so I settled for this one instead. My worry is that I have combination-oily skin and this may not last long on me. The sales person told me this is for those with normal-combination skin but I don't really mind reapplying so I took the bait. To my surprise, this powder is amazing! I can't get enough of the texture and this is by far the silkiest, even better than my beloved Shiseido and Kanebo. It has pretty decent oil control though I need to touch up every once in a while but it's okay with me. I love how my skin looks flawless and feels just so smooth and soft and silky. What I love the most is that the moment my face starts to oil up, my face starts looking dewy rather than oily. At first, I was a bit put off by the scent but it's just a matter of getting used to and I eventually learned to like it. And oh, I also love the cute little brush that came with it. I like using it if I want just a light dusting of powder and yeah, I used it on my Chanel blushes too and they worked just fine. The packaging is the usual black classy fingerprint magnet compact but of course comes with a velvet pouch. This is by far the most expensive powder foundation I have ever splurged on but the quality and the texture makes it worth every cent. One more thing, I have both BR20 and B20 and both works just fine on me. Yeah, I have two refills, that's how much I have come to love this powder. :) By the way, this has sheer-medium coverage (which is perfect for me) but those who prefer full coverage may not like it.

Lipstick -Chanel - Comedia

This is also my first Chanel lipstick and it did not in any way disappoint me. This is a very lovely pink shade with gold reflects that is very wearable and perfect for everyday makeup. It is non-drying and has a pretty decent staying power. I like the click system on this tube which keeps me assured that the lipstick won't fall off and get damaged. This may be expensive for a tube of lipstick but the packaging and the quality makes every cent worth it.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Crystal - RIPE PAPAYA

Initially, I thought this looked like a burnt orange shade but I started to actually like it and the lovely coral-pink shade that it is. I love how sheer and moisturizing it is and the packaging is definitely luxurious. The scent needs a lot of getting used to though. And I end up with shimmers on different parts of my face and I'm sure as heck that they came from this lippy. Although this lipstick is good, I might not buy any more lipsticks from EL because of the scent.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear
rated 5 of 5
blushingpammy 11/22/2010 1:53:00 AM

I bought this foundation due to the raves from individuals with combi-oily to oily skin. I have combi-oily skin so I thought this would be the perfect foundation for me. I was impressed when I had the sales assistant apply this on me. It was a pretty hot night and went out drinking with friends so I didn't expect much from it. But when I got home, I checked myself out in the mirror and this foundation was still on my face. It looked so natural and not in any way greasy nor cakey. I like how it blends with the skin and does not sit on top of it. I used finishing powders and I wasn't happy with the results so I decided to use it on its own, without any setting powders and the result was better. I even mix it with my favorite moisturizer and it still looks great! I found the perfect shade for my skin tone too so that is a plus. And it does not oxidize on me. I like using my fingers and a flat top brush and even the MAC 190 when applying it but found out it looks horrible when I used stippling brushes. My cheeks are somewhat drier that the rest of my face so I make sure I put on a lot of moisturizers so it won't emphasize the dryness. Initially, it looks matte but give it a few minutes and it will give you a natural finish. The key is to find ways to make this product work for you just like with any other product. Some just want magic with any product and that is just ridiculous. I can say that I have found my HG liquid foundation!

Powder -Unlisted Brand - in2it Oil Control 2-way powder foundation
rated 4 of 5
blushingpammy 10/21/2010 4:47:00 AM

I love Japanese foundations and this one isn't an exception at all. Texture is finely milled, coverage is buildable from medium to full, it applies smoothly and blends well with the skin. I actually like this foundation as much as I like Shiseido and Kanebo but in terms of price, this is definitely the winner. You can buy 3 compacts (or even 4) of this for the price of one of those other two brands that I mentioned. It relatively controls oil for about 4-6 hours. Oh, this comes in a cute hot pink compact. Overall, I like this product. I would repurchase only if Shiseido or Kanebo disappoints me. :)

Lipstick -Bourjois - Docteur Glamour
rated 5 of 5
blushingpammy 10/15/2010 2:55:00 AM

I have this in 2 shades - Rose Toubib and Rose Tendre. Between the two, I like Rose Toubib better. It is appears as a classic pink shade on my lips. And it is not drying as compared to MAC Satin Finish lipsticks and other lippies too. I also like that it does not have the chunky glitters that Rose Tendre has which can be really annoying. The packaging is really nice and girly. The cap may be a little flimsy being plastic but it still looks classy and not cheap. Since it is the sister company of Chanel, I think this is a cheaper alternative to their lipsticks and quality wise, it is really good. It leaves a nice rosy pink stain on my lips even after drinking and eating and other activities. It has a sheer gloss to it which is really lovely too. But a thin layer of gloss won't hurt to make it look prettier on the lips. I'm thinking of trying Rose Retabli next but my only friend would be eBay since this brand is not locally available in where I live. For a drugstore brand, you can't go wrong with this lipstick.

This is my HG powder foundation. I like how silky and smooth it feels on the skin. Too bad this is now discontinued and replaced by Sheer Mattifying.

I don't like this as an eyeshadow as neutral colors look muddy on me. But this works perfect as a brow powder instead. I like the texture of this product but I won't buy it again since I can't use this as an eyeshadow and I already bought the brow kit and I won't get to use this as much.

I adore this eyeshadow. Dark colors work for me and this one did not disappoint me at all. It brings out the brown in my eyes and the color is absolutely gorgeous. Pigmented, not too frosty or shimmer, glides smoothly and the texture is fine too. Cheap yet a very good product.
