Polishes -Essie - Sexy Red Bag
rated 5 of 5

I just got this shade at Ulta for $1.99 from their clearance bin. To me it looked like You're Fired with shimmer, but it's completely different. I agree with the other posters that commented as to why this didn't come out for summer. It's gorgeous on my toenails! My favorite thing about Essie is that on me it doesn't chip. At all.

I keep mine in the fridge for puffy-eyed mornings. The cold seems to help bring down the puffiness even more.

Eyeliner -Agnes B. - Liquid Eyeliner
rated 4 of 5

I wish I could use this! I gave it a high rating because it is the longest-lasting, easiest to apply liquid eyeliner I have ever come across! That being said, I don't really have sensitive eyes even though I wear contacts. THis stuff is fine on me all day long. I remove every smidge at night and wake up the next morning with puffy, swollen lids and bloodshot, stinging eyes. I have two, Brown and Black, and I was hoping maybe it was the black, since that is the first one I used. But the brown does me the same way. There's something in there my eyes don't like at all.

Lotions/ Creams -BeneFit Cosmetics - Touch Me Then Try To Leave Me cream [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5

I bought this strictly to layer with Maybe Baby perfume. Which is a good thing, since I don't use it ALL the time so for the obnoxious price I paid it should last awhile. For me it's not as incredibly moisturizing as the ad says, but it DOES serve the purpose I intended(hence the high rating). If Maybe Baby lasted longer I wouldn't have needed this lotion.

Skincare - Body -Yves Rocher - Ming Shu perfumed bodylotion
rated 4 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:23:00 AM

Nice, light lotion whose scent doesn't stray too much from the Ming Shu EDT. Good to use in humid weather when you're not looking for so much goopy moisture on your skin. I layer this with the EDT for staying power.

Lip Gloss -Yves Rocher - Glossy Lips
rated 5 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:19:00 AM

I got this dirt cheap, and I kinda wish I'd gotten more than one color. Definately not an 'everyday' color for me, I have Bronze Shimmer and the pigment is a little dark, so I only wear this when I'm going out with friends. Pretty good staying power, and doesn't gum up on me. It's pretty thick, too, which I don't always like, but when I'm looking for a heavier made up lip, this is what I use. The bonus part of that is you don't have to put on the lipstick first, then the gloss. It's like it's all in one tube! The wand makes it super easy to apply, and it rides around nicely in my purse for touch-ups.

Scrubs -Yves Rocher - strawberry sugar scrub
rated 5 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:15:00 AM

This is SO much better than the pricey stuff I got at B&BW. It actually smells like REAL strawberries, not that fake strawberry scent. I like to use it right before I shave. The tub can be a little tricky, but I keep it on a shelf in the tub so water doesn't get in it.

Moisturizers -DHC - Emollient Balm

My skin seemed to like the sample, but I CANNOT get over the smell! Smells like old baby formula or something. Baby spitup? I don't know, but whatever smell that is, it most certainly doesn't go away. Boo.

Lotions/ Creams -DHC - Acerola Body Gel Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:08:00 AM

I like to use this on days when I know I'll be out in all the heat and humidity. Moisturizes without that greasy, lotion-y feeling. It's pricey, though, so I use it sparingly.

Skincare - Face -DHC - Acerola Lotion (toner)
rated 5 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:05:00 AM

I use this along with the Acerola Gel for our humid summer months. Very refreshing! I like it better than the Mild Lotion, so I think that when I switch to a heavier moisturizer for the winter I'll continue to use this! And the Acerola line is cheap compared to some of the other DHC stuff.

Cleansers -DHC - Make Off Sheet
rated 5 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:04:00 AM

These are perfect to have around when you're too tired to do the whole nightly cleansing ritual. I use them also when I've been out with friends and wouldn't have taken my makeup off if not for these ingenious little sheets. I don't think I'd ever use them as a daily cleanser, but they will take EVERYTHING off your face in a pinch when you need it. $6 or so for 50 sheets is not bad at all, and the case they come in (along with the inside packaging) keep them from drying out when you don't use them all the time.

Skincare - Face -DHC - Acerola Gel
rated 5 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 1:01:00 AM

I am loving this stuff! I pair it with the Acerola Lotion, and especially for these humid summer months, it's great in the daytime! Actually, I mix this gel with my tinted SPF moisturizer, and that's about all I need on my face during the day. Good stuff, and for DHC, reasonably priced.

Treatments -DHC - Antiox C
rated 5 of 5

I can't wait to get a tube of my own! I got a couple of samples in an eBay lot, and used them for about a week and a half. I really did see a difference in my skin tone - lots more even. I only used it at night, though, as I live in a really humid climate and try to put as little on my face as possible during the day. WAY expensive, but it's money I'm willing to part with!

Lotions/ Creams -BeneFit Cosmetics - Bathina Body So Fine
rated 1 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 12:56:00 AM

I've only experienced this at the counter, when the saleslady professed she only had THREE LEFT! She slapped some on my arm, and I just don't get it - maybe I'm not the right skin tone for it. I like the scent, though, and packaging is cute and the application process interesting, but not something I'm willing to shell out the money for.

Gels/Soaps -Yves Rocher - Jardins Du Monde - All Shower Gels
rated 3 of 5
bluelena 7/3/2004 12:49:00 AM

These are hit or miss for me. I have the holiday Cinnamon one, and it's OK but not as 'cinnamonn-y' as I would have hoped. I LOVE the Green Tea one, though, and have bought it again and again. I can't wait to try the Bamboo and Tunisian Cypress scents. Not much moisture in there, but I slather on lotion after-shower anyway, so not a big deal. Only thing about the packaging is that those darn flip caps are hard to open.
