Nails -Unlisted Brand - Broadway Nails Real Life French Nail Kit
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 1:43:00 AM
I tried this product after reading rave reviews online on different sites. Big mistake! I tried this in the Petite- Real Short French Nail Kit. It was difficult finding a pinkie and thumb nail that looked right. I didn't use the nail glue that came with the set and purchased a better quality glue. They looked ok but it was hard to keep bubbles from forming under the nail. Plus, they didn't stay on very well. I had some popping off every day. The directions made it sound so simple to remove but it actually took some time and I still had some glue that wouldn't come off. I wouldn't recommend this product!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 1:33:00 AM
I use this in Ivory. I really like the coverage. I have a little redness to my fair skin but usually a clear complexion. This is my favorite drugstore brand foundation. The only drawback is when they say "Colorstay" they mean colorstay. I have to make sure to thoroughly wash my face and remove all the makeup because a little soap and water won't cut it.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole Fresh Wear
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 1:25:00 AM
I tried a sample of this product. I was matched with the lightest shade. The coverage was too light for me. I have fair, combination skin, a little redness, but fairly clear complexion. I thought this might be nice for a teenage girl looking for minimal coverage. It was a little too powdery for me and the coverage was not good.I was not impressed, especially because of the price. I'm currently using Revlon Colorstay and I prefer it over the Lancome Fresh Wear.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Gentle Lip Conditioner
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 12:43:00 AM
I bought this in Soft Petal. This is a terrible product. First, it's overpriced. Second, you have to twist it to get the product to come out. It's very slow so you twist and nothing. Twist it again and nothing. Then all of the sudden a big glob will come gushing out. Third, the glitter in it feels like fine sand. You might as well coat your lips with oil and kiss a sandbox. It will be a similar experience and you can save your money.

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - shimmer strips Smoky Brown Eyes
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 12:34:00 AM
I bought the Smoky Blue Eyes (but it's not available for review.) The problem with this product is that the eyeshadows are all layered on top of each other but you don't know this when you purchase it. They appear to be side by side. Once you use a color several times you have used it up and there is another shade underneath. For example, I liked the bronze color and after using it several times it was gone and a dark blue shade showed up underneath. Then you can't use either color because one swipe mixes them together into a nasty mess of bronze and dark blue. The entire palette was designed this way. It's terrible!

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Beyond Natural Cream to Powder Eye Shadow
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 12:23:00 AM
I use this as a base for other powder eyeshadows and it works well. I would buy it again for that purpose but not to wear by itself. I had difficulty blending and I didn't think it was a great product.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad - Not Just Nudes
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 12:17:00 AM
I like using these as bases for other eyeshadows. I usually use Too Faced Shadow Insurance and then Revlon creme shadow and then a quality eyeshadow on top. I do like the second color from the left. I have worn it by itself with the primer underneath and a matte neutral eyeshadow in the crease.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo eyeshadow pencil- Lemon
blueeyeddevil128 6/23/2010 12:11:00 AM
This is a nice creamy lime color. I used the following to create a green smokey eye: I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base. Then Lemon pencil on top. I used Ulta Shamrock eyeshadow on the outer half of lid and Radiant eyeshadow on the inner half of lid. I used Ulta Galaxy eyeshadow in the outer corner and crease and Ulta Bone eyeshadow for the brow bone. It took a LOT of blending but it made a great green smokey eye. I followed a tutorial I found online and substituted MAC products for Ulta.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Rock
blueeyeddevil128 6/22/2010 11:59:00 PM
I have Ulta's Galaxy and this is very similar. Rock has a much creamier texture and better color payoff than Ulta's Galaxy. I used this for a dramatic black smokey eye and it worked really well.

Eye Shadow -Ulta - Camel Eyeshadow

I love this matte neutral. I use it a lot as a crease color with a shimmer color on the lid. The texture is very creamy and glides on smoothly.

Eye Shadow -Ulta - Galaxy

I love galaxy for creating a dramatic black smokey eye. The touch of glitter is nice and creates a nice shimmer. I haven't experienced a lot of fallout but I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base.

Eye Shadow -Ulta - Silk
blueeyeddevil128 6/22/2010 11:37:00 PM
This is another of my favorite Ulta eye shadows. I sometimes use this as a brow bone highlight but most often I use a little touch in the inner corner of my eyes.

Eye Shadow -Ulta - Sandstone
blueeyeddevil128 6/22/2010 11:31:00 PM
This is one of my most used Ulta eye shadows. I have very fair skin, cool, with pink undertones. This shadow is very flattering on me. I love the creamy texture and shimmer.

Eye Shadow -Coastal Scents - 88 colors warm palette
blueeyeddevil128 6/22/2010 5:39:00 PM
This is a great product. I bought it the same time I purchased the Metal Mania palette when CS was having a sale. Anyway, I love neutral eye shadows and smokey eyes. This palette is awesome. The quality is great and there is a variety of matte and shimmer. The shades with shimmer are pretty and so far I haven't experienced a lot of fallout. This is probably my go-to palette. I've used this palette by itself to create some pretty looks. I've also used the matte neutrals from this palette in combination with my CS metal mania, Urban Decay, Stila, and Too Faced shadows. I think the quality on most of the shadows are decent and better quality than drugstore brands. It's a must have for creating daytime and work appropriate looks. This palette is nice for any age group but imo it's the perfect choice for middle aged to older women....or anyone that prefers not to have a face full of glitter!

Palettes -Coastal Scents - 88 Metal Mania Palette
blueeyeddevil128 6/22/2010 5:21:00 PM
I compared some of the shadows I already own to the ones in the CS palette. The CS palette has some great colors but some have a more chalky texture and take more product to achieve a similar look as the "name brand" listed below. When I swatched the shadows, they looked extremely similar in color and shimmer; however, I wouldn't go so far as to call them an exact dupe (but pretty darn close.) Of course, it's just my opinion..so take it for what it's worth. I labeled the top row of my CS Metal Mania palette A through K across, then 1-8 down. CS Palette H1 = Stila Kitten E2 = Urban Decay Smog F7 = Urban Decay Last Call D8 = Urban Decay Mildew (close but not an exact match) C8= Too Faced Lucky Charms K7= Too Faced Full Frontal K6 = Too Faced Socialite E1 = Too Faced Glamazon H3= Too Faced Boy Toy
