Polishes -Chanel - Black Pearl
blubutterfly04 5/21/2011 5:30:00 AM
It was love at first sight. Chanel hit the nail on the head with this tahitian pearl color. Its one of my favorite nail polishes despite the hefty pricetag. I receive many compliments everytime I wear it, i get at least 5 days of chip-free wear. I wish I would have bought a back-up...

Polishes -MAC - Frayed to Order Nail Lacquer
blubutterfly04 5/4/2011 5:43:00 AM
I really wanted to love this polish. I do love the color, with 4 coats you get the true opaqueness you see in the bottle. However, all that work is to no avail, even with a base coat (essie's matte about you) the polish begins chipping/cracking the same day. By the next day large sections of my nail polish has chipped off. Sigh...

Lipstick -MAC - Retro Matte - Ruby Woo
blubutterfly04 2/3/2011 2:43:00 PM
If I could wear this everyday I would. I thought I owned the reddest red (MAC Red) but I was mistaken. It gorgeous on my NC 43 skin, sure its a bit drying but nothing a little chap-stick can't fix.

Styling Products -Moroccanoil - Intense Curl Cream
blubutterfly04 2/3/2011 2:39:00 PM
I was excited to dry this product after all the hype behind this line. I've used other styling creams before with much success so I expected an even better performance from this product. This is definitely not a "styling cream". My hair had no hold, a smell I did not care for and an oily residue. It created more frizz and less definition. Just not for me.

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte #22 Exquisite Plum
blubutterfly04 12/8/2010 4:47:00 AM
This is my first YSL purchase. I will admit I was very hesitant due to the hefty price tag. The formula is amazing, long-lasting and sooooo creamy. Exquisite Plum is the perfect berry color for this season.

Polishes -China Glaze - Party Hearty

My favorite holiday all bottled up for me! I was fortunate to find China Glaze polishes for $2.88, I ordered this one and 2 others drom the holiday collection. I love this polish over Jolly Holly and Phat Santa. Two coats is just enough for that perfect holiday sparkle.

Lip Treatments -Korres - Lip Butter - Jasmine
blubutterfly04 9/22/2010 2:51:00 PM
I really wanted to love this product especially after all the hype. Is it moisturizing? Absolutely. It keeps my lips soft, smells lovely and I like the slight pink tint it adds to my pout. However, I feel that 10$ is pretty steep and the packaging isn't ideal. I'm on the fence about repurchasing.

Polishes -Essie - Little Brown Dress
blubutterfly04 9/22/2010 2:45:00 PM
This is the perfect chocolate brown. Nice payoff, with 2 coats provide exact bottle color. Its a nice alternative to my OPI Lincoln Park After Dark. This will definitely remain part of my permanent collection.

Bronzers -Too Faced - Chocolate Soleil
blubutterfly04 9/12/2010 2:27:00 AM
I was on a bronzer binge this summer and suprisingly this one beat out the rest. I wasn't even looking for a matte formula but I decided to give this one a try. For reference I'm an NC 43. Its not too orange or too brown, not only is it the perfect bronzer its great for contouring as well. HG status!

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
blubutterfly04 8/11/2010 3:16:00 AM
This is a pretty decent drugstore foundation. I was surprised at how perfectly I matched my skin, I got #010 Caramel (Im an NC 43). I don't care for the shimmer however by applying translucent powder on set, it reduces the shimmer significantly.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
blubutterfly04 8/11/2010 3:07:00 AM
This is hands down the best brush ever. I can do my entire eye look with just this brush. I particularly like this for paint pots, its blends them out realy well. I own two of these, one for my eyeshadows and the other for my paint pots.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Lineur Intense
blubutterfly04 8/11/2010 3:00:00 AM
I've used this liner for years, I was always come back to it. The felt tip applicator is easy to use, especially for cat-eye looks. Its easy to layer for that deep, intense black liner look. To avoid flaking I set it with a black eyeshadow on top.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot - Constructivist
blubutterfly04 8/11/2010 2:51:00 AM
This is my favorite paint pot. Its iridescent, no shimmer. Perfect for a sexy, smokey eye or by itself. I would definitely repurchase even though it may be awhile due to the amount of product.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Rubenesque
blubutterfly04 8/11/2010 2:47:00 AM
MAC paint pots in general are amazing, they last forever and are easy to work with. Rubenesque is a great color on me even however I only wear it when I want a shimmery look. Its not as practical as Painterly or Groundwork but its definitely a pretty color.

Primer/ Corrector -Sephora - Anti-Shine Primer
blubutterfly04 8/11/2010 2:41:00 AM
Eh, I'm on the fence about this one. The type of foundation you use really depends on how this will work for you. Despite it being a "primer" I feel it works best for me when I apply over my foundation or mixing it with foundation. When I apply this prior, my foundation streaks and becomes almost impossible to blend. I will continue to use it until its finished but I will most likely not repurchase.
