Moisturizers -Derma E - Tea Tree & E Moisturizing
rated 3 of 5
blondie86 7/17/2012 1:48:00 PM

I used this for a while in combination with another moisturizer to thin it out. It's much too thick, unless you apply it straight after your shower while your skin is still damp. It did clog pores for me, so I stopped using it all over and instead I spot treat with it. It works fine for that, but it's nothing spectacular. Definitely not impressed with this given the hype, so once I'm done the jar I wont be repurchasing

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - hydrafresh moisturizer (oily skin)
rated 3 of 5
blondie86 7/17/2012 1:43:00 PM

This moisturized well and felt great going onto my skin, but it didn't keep me matte, and it broke me out. I got those skin colored bumps along my chin and jaw line from using this. I wont repurchase and I'm still continuing my search for my perfect daily moisturizer!

Well this burns my face and leaves it feeling tacky and looking greasy. That's 0 for 3. No thanks. This wasn't cheap, either >.< Wont be repurchasing!

Powder -Palladio - Wet/Dry foundation
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 4/23/2012 4:05:00 PM

I'm impressed. I haven't used a powder foundation in years, and I've never used a wet/dry one. I read reviews online before purchasing, and I figured I wouldn't have much luck with it, like I don't seem to have much luck with ANY foundation these days. I went to Sally's, picked a few things up - including this - and I used it the next day. I apply it wet, and have never tried applying it dry (so I can't comment on that). The coverage is pretty damn good, and I'm a real stickler for that. This covers as well as or better than my usual go-to heavy coverage foundation: Simply Ageless. I don't need to use concealer anywhere but under my eyes. Keep in mind, though, if you have a huge, red, and inflamed zit... this isn't going to cover it completely. The oil control is meh, hence the 4 not the 5, but I just blot as usual and it's fine. I use the sponge it comes with and haven't had a problem yet. The compartment where the sponge is held is ventilated, so the sponge is always dry the next time I go to use it. Finding your match (especially if you're not usually on either end of most foundation lines) will probably be a little difficult, since you have no way of seeing the actual color of the foundation until you have it out of the box and opened. They have colors on the boxes, but they are hardly helpful. I am usually within the lightest 2 shades in any given foundation, so I picked the lightest one (laurel nude) and it matches quite well. I will absolutely repurchase when I run out. I haven't been this impressed by a foundation in years, and I will never spend $20 on a foundation AGAIN! Edit*** I just applied it dry for the first time, and it has the exact same coverage (maybe even more!!) than applying it wet. Yay! Next up I'll try applying it with a brush... dun dun dun.

Powder -Almay - TLC Pressed Powder-Light to Medium
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 3/29/2012 1:52:00 PM

Finally, a pressed powder I actually like. I never thought this day would come, but it has, and I couldn't be happier about it. This looks a bit chalky at first, but so do most powders. Give it a few minutes and you're golden. This does not look cakey, this does not look flaky, this does not do that weird pressed powder thing where suddenly any pores and lines I have are standing out like a neon sign on my face. Oil control is decent, nothing to write home about, but still a far cry better than most powders I've used that are supposedly geared towards controlling oil. I'm impressed, and that is not something that happens often. I find you get the best results with this powder when you use it with the TLC foundation. That's when it will look the best and last the longest. I use it with other foundations though, and it still looks good, so I'm not too worried. I will absolutely, 100% be repurchasing this in the future.

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush in Candid Coral
rated 2 of 5
blondie86 3/29/2012 1:45:00 PM

This is just meh for me. I see a lot of good reviews here, so I may have just gotten a bad one. It shows up on my skin, barely, but it doesn't have the really coral look I was hoping for. I'm pretty pale so I don't really feel like I should have that problem, but I do. I will probably try to use this again at some point, and maybe my mind will change. For now, I will stick to my other blushes !

Brows -E.L.F. - Eyebrow Lifter & Filler
rated 5 of 5
blondie86 3/29/2012 1:41:00 PM

This is GREAT! The first time I used this, I filled in my brows directly from the pencil, and it looked friggin awful. I have seriously heavy hands when it comes to makeup, and that was a mistake I shouldn't have made! So... I just use my eyebrow brush instead. I tap it onto the pencil, and brush it into my brows like I would a powder. It looks way more natural this way, and I have a lot more control over the application. The highlighting end is really great. I use an old eyeshadow brush to kind of buff it in after I apply it under my eyebrows, and it really helps to define them and help them stand out a bit (if you know what I mean). I'm really happy with this purchase, and finally feel like my bad eyebrow days are gone for good! I will absolutely be repurchasing. Until the end of time!

Cleansers -Nivea - Visage Pure and Natural Cleansing Lotion
rated 3 of 5
blondie86 3/29/2012 1:37:00 PM

Meh. I got this as part of a kit for Christmas, and was initially hesitant to use it because I have acne-prone & oily skin. When I use cleansers that aren't in some way geared towards those things, nothing good ever happens. I used it for a bit, and other than it removing literally every trace of makeup from my entire face, it didn't improve anything. I started to break out, and definitely noticed that nasty film feeling other reviews were talking about. I still use it to remove makeup from my eye area, but I've moved on to cleansers better suited to my needs. If you have great skin already, and no acne to worry about... it might work for you? Maybe?

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar
rated 1 of 5
blondie86 3/4/2012 4:08:00 PM

Just didn't work for me. I tried diluting it many different ways, and it just irritated my skin no matter what. I suppose I could try taking it internally to see if that does anything. I prefer witch hazel for a toner.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Foaming Facial Cleanser - Sensitive Skin
rated 2 of 5
blondie86 3/4/2012 4:04:00 PM

This removes makeup well, but I found it didn't foam nearly as much as its not-for-sensitive-skin counterpart. I ended up having to use a pretty big amount of cleanser each time to feel like I had enough to actually clean my face. It did nothing for my acne, and I don't even really feel that it cleaned my skin that well. For removing makeup it's great, but for anything else... I guess I just need something a little more heavy duty. Wont be repurchasing!

Cleansers -Noxzema - Skin Cream Plus Moisturizers
rated 2 of 5
blondie86 3/4/2012 4:00:00 PM

This is great at removing makeup. That for me was the only plus. I didn't mind the smell, but it wasn't great, either. This left a film on my face after rinsing it off, which I hated. I always use a toner after cleansing, so it was gone after that, but I still hated the feeling. At first I thought it was working for my skin, so I gradually started taking other things out of my regimen. Unfortunately, this just broke me out more and wound up doing nothing for the zits I had popping up. Off to the garbage it went! Wont be repurchasing.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Face Wash
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 3/4/2012 3:54:00 PM

I really enjoy this cleanser. I love the smell of tea tree, so that will never be something that bothers me. This cleanser is effective, and it's effective quickly. You only need a dime sized amount to cover your face and neck, just lather in your hands before you apply to your face. It has gotten rid of stubborn breakouts that I've had for ages, which says a LOT. I haven't noticed it drying my skin out at all, which is a huge plus. It's also great at removing makeup which is another HUGE plus. I am pretty sure I'm done heading to the drug store for face washes. When I run out of this, I will be repurchasing again, and again, and AGAIN!

Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Braun 5318 Silk Epil Soft Perfection (pink)
rated 4 of 5
blondie86 3/3/2012 6:07:00 PM

Well ! My mom gave me this to try on my legs after she got a new one. I hate using it on my legs. Hate. I prefer to shave my legs. I do, however, use this on my armpits. It hurts like hell the first time you do it, but if you soldier through that it barely feels like anything the next time. And the time after that, and so on. I unfortunately have dark armpits, which as a very white chick... sucks! This diminishes some of that. It also keeps my armpits free of hair for longer, and they're less hairy when the hair does grow back. I also find my armpits rarely smell now... even without deodorant. I went back to shaving for a few days once, and PHEW. Stunk without deodorant! Needless to say this is useful for random parts of my body, just none that it's meant to be used for, I'm sure. And none that any of you would like to hear about. If you have a rather high threshold for pain, try it on your armpits because it's unlikely to disappoint you! I sincerely hope I wont have to repurchase but if I do, I will.

Primer/ Corrector -E.L.F. - Mineral Infused Face Primer
rated 1 of 5
blondie86 3/3/2012 5:50:00 PM

Dear LORD this is bad. I look like a complete greaseball right now. This doesn't make my makeup go on any easier, nor does it make it last or look good. Doesn't control oil, either, at least not for me. Not even close! I'm glad this was so cheap, because if it wasn't I'd be a really sad panda right now :(

Palettes -E.L.F. - ENDLESS EYES 100 EYESHADOW PALETTE
rated 3 of 5
blondie86 3/3/2012 2:50:00 PM

I received this in my elf shipment not too long ago, and the first thing I noticed about this palette was that 2 of the shadows had come loose, and the case was disgustingly dirty. So I spent a good 20 minutes cleaning the case and other shadows. I tried a look today using a shimmery gold shadow and I can say that it was quite pigmented. The black shadow was pigmented enough, but not quite to my liking. I can't comment on the other shadows and plan to try them soon. I wouldn't buy it again, as I don't think I would really need to. I'm disappointed that it came in that condition, but it was salvageable, and I'm sure it will line up in terms of quality with the CS 88 palette. I'll use it, but probably wont be greatly impressed by it.
