Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Salux Nylon Japanese Bath Towel

Really impressed. After reading all the good reviews, I decided to give it a try. It does feels harsh on my skin so I don't rub it too much in one shot. PRO: lathers really well (reduces the amount of soap to be used), long enough to properly wash your back, dries super quickly Con: like i said, I have sensitive skin, so it does feel a bit harsh but u can definitely rub as hard as you can your feet with this and it is perfect for removing the thick layer of dead skin. I do it daily before going to bed. Feels like a great "therapy" for the tired foot soles. :D My skin feels now softer and smoother, and all the "pimples" on my upper arms are greatly reduced (these are actually accumulation of dead skin, and go away with proper exfoliation). For 3.50$ u can't go wrong.

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Pack_EX
bleuxs 4/14/2013 11:20:00 PM
Pro : nice scent, nice texture, moisturizing, keeps my face non oily and hydrated for the next day, somehow shrinks my pimples and clear off imperfections overnight so my face looks much better the next day (!!!) Con: packaging (dislike the fact that I need to clean the spatula every single time to scoop out the mask) , price (fairly expensive >20$) After reading all the good reviews, I decided to buy one. I waited til now that I'm almost finishing the jar to come and review it. It's been few months, I actually like it a lot. Routine : I use it once a week after my mint julep mask (which can be quite drying to the skin). I apply one layer not too thick (I only apply that for that night, so no toner, no cream...), it actually gets absorbed completely by the time I go to bed so my pillow doesn't getting dirty. The next morning my face is not greasy at all (which is very obvious cuz all the other mornings I get oily in the area beside my nose). My redness is greatly reduced and skin stays hydrated for the next day. However, the results are not "permanent". My skin get oily again for the days I don't use the sleeping mask. Overall, I would definitely recommend it cuz it is a good "moisturizer" and relieves my skin from overdrying heating (canadian weather).

Lip Treatments -Murad - Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Therapy SPF 15
bleuxs 4/4/2013 7:36:00 PM
meh.... really really average product. which surprises me considering its a high end brand. 30 minutes after you apply it a layer of skin comes off. thats exactly what it does. and my lips become drier than before. I prefer my cheap blistex way more. stay away.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Glysomed
bleuxs 3/25/2013 8:44:00 PM
best hand cream out there according to me (number 1 selling hand cream in Canada as well). i like the film that this hand cream leaves on my hands but some may find it as "greasy". i like it because I feel that this film protects my very "handyman" palms from all the tasks that i do (which used to make my hands very rough). To those who have used Herbacin before, these two products are very similar but i just somehow happen to prefer Glysomed more.

Polishes -E.L.F. - Desert Haze
bleuxs 3/21/2013
hum, yes the color is very nice (needs at least 2 coats to see the true color) but what im having trouble with is the fact that it starts flaking by big chunks after less than 12 hours (undergoing normal keyboard typing/washing dishes/manipulating small objects/cutting veggies). so if u are handywoman doing lots of tasks in a day, well it will definitely disappoint you. and it doesn't dry that fast either (30 minutes for complete dry and even then, you may still find some of your coats a bit gummy -_-'). Overall, considering the price (2$CDN), i dont have too high of expectation, and would only recommend it to girls who don't do any household chore. would not repurchase.

Eyeliner -Kanebo - KATE Gel Eye Liner
bleuxs 3/20/2013 11:49:00 PM
after reading many reviews on MAC/bobbi brown/Kate gel liner, i decided to try this one and im glad i did. I dont use it on a daily basis (maybe 3X/wk max) so it's lasting a long time (>1.5year). What i like the most is the final effect. It does NOT smudge AT ALL (i've cried on it, it rained on it, spend whole humid day in southern cities and i still have my eyeliner on, without the raccoon eyes, not to mention i have very oily eyelids ). It is a bit hard to remove though...I also dont like the fact that all gel liners need to be applied with an angled brush (what i do and which gives a good cat eye effect) but in the midst of the application, i end up losing a lot of product on the brush or by swiping the brush on the brim of the little container (the product dries up on the brim or on the brush)..... overall, i highly recommend it. and if u happen to pass by asian countries (or find a trustworthy online asian makeup store), go get it! 2.5g for less than 15$

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Body Butter Shea
bleuxs 3/20/2013 11:34:00 PM
This is pricey (20$CDN on regular price) but for 196g, you can use it daily for at least a month. So far, i like the smell, its easy to spread but the moisturizing effect are still not enough for our canadian winter (high heating, so very dry). i find myself needing to apply a generous amount on a daily basis for the skin not to be flaky, which is a bit annoying (yes i am looking for a product that will "improve" the moisture level of my skin over time, becoming less dependant on a moisturizer)... would not repurchase.

Treatments -Biore - Ultra Deep Cleansing pore strips
bleuxs 3/6/2013 11:03:00 PM
bought one pack today. what i like the most about it is that it gets the entire (almost 1cm long) blackhead out -i always get few long ones per sheet, in addition to the whiteheads , that makes me feel that it is very effective. I had a lots of blackheads on my chin and after using the strips, my chin is now finally clean (no visible black dots anymore!). The trick is to cut the strip into pieces of different sizes and stick it on your face where u feel there's most of blackheads. have fun examining it after using it. feels great!

I've got the one in watermelon. pros: the taste is fine. love the packaging, the product just rolls over my lips, easily reaching to the corners of my lips con: really not that moisturizing. really not. not cheap would not repurchase and will stick to my blistex. EDIT : used it for months now. still dislike it! waxy. not hydrating at all.

Discovered it when i was a teen. Best product for lips, truly moisturizing and even give u a glossy finish. love the minty feeling. It's a must have, especially in canadian cold weather. The only down side is the packaging, i hate putting it on my germy fingers...

Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette
bleuxs 12/20/2012 9:38:00 PM
For a girl that is definitely not a pro but still initiate herself into the realm of eye shadow, i definitely love this palette!!! PRO : 1)dirt cheap, 10 bucks for 100 colors 2) very pigmented and beautiful colors (most of them) 3) should find any color u want to imitate whatever look your youtube guru creates 4) should last enough time with a good primer -i use my homemade eye primer and the outcome is pretty good 5) doesn't crease too much CONS: 1) the white and golden colors are not very pigmented and "disappear" fast, especially when blend in with other darker colors 2) the texture is soft (not too compressed) so when u dab into it with your brush, it instantly creates tons of flaky powders. if you have dry eye syndrome like me, the powders will make your eyes even dryer for the first half an hour, so put some drops) 3) it does disappear with time (under cold weather, but probably even faster in hot weather but for the price of it, I don't complain Also considering i have asian double eyelids, my eyelid fold may contribute to "eat up" the color conclusion, once i finish this palette (which is probably in 3 years since I don't wear eyeshadow daily), I will consider re-purchase it again! If with my troublesome asian oily double eyelid i still like this product and was able to create nice looks (im really a beginner with eyeshadow) , most of the caucasians girls should not have a problem with this product, so highly recommend it!

Lips -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze
bleuxs 12/20/2012 9:16:00 PM
because it is one dollar, i definitely wanted to try it out. I bought the fanatic fuschia. it is a bright pinky red and i find it suitable to my skin tone (i have asian skin tone, so yellow base but towards fair). PROS 1) it is bold and very pigmented. 2) If you prefer to stay neutral, it also has the translucent side (so 1 dollar for 2 colors). 3) love the minty taste! 4) standard packaging, nothing to complain about CONS gets very sticky with time conclusion : good product in comparison to its price. but would not purchase again because I hate sticky feeling . would invest more in a non-sticky product.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Luscious Liquid Lipstick - ALL
bleuxs 12/20/2012 8:57:00 PM
beautiful color (i have baby lips) , easy to use, good taste. The package looks a bit cheap (like dollar store product...but it is really A dollar product, so I wouldn't complain too much). The biggest down side is that it is sticky! when it is applied, it is ok but gets tacky more and more. so although it is cheap and relatively good product (in relation to its price), I would not purchase again. I rather invest in a more expensive but non sticky product .... i guess im just more bothered by the stickiness than others..

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Nizoral AD Shampoo
bleuxs 11/30/2012 11:04:00 PM
i have very bad dandruff problem ever since puberty. Nothing really works for me (Head&Shoulders, or even the T-gel from Neutrogena that i eventually became allergic too). I also tried Klorane's shampoo for greasy hair (dandruff and greasy always go hand in hand for me). it worked for a while then stopped working....Nizoral really is the best. Not only it makes my hair light weighted and frech, it also prevents the itchiness and dandruff. My problem improved so much.
