Misc Beauty Tools -Neutrogena - Wave Sonic Power-Cleanser
blemers 4/7/2011 11:39:00 AM
I love this product! I think both the cleaning and exfoliating pads smell amazing and this little gadget really seems to get my face a lot cleaner than regular washing. It also leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. My only complaint is that I don't feel like it exfoliates well enough so I can understand why the reviewer below said it doesn't have enough power, especially if you're used to something with more power. that being said I still love it! It's inexpensive and exactly what I was looking for. With that, if you're thinking about buying this, I would highly recommend checking out the reviews on other sites as well as this one because some of these reviews seem to be a little biased.

Lip Treatments -Soap and Glory - Sexy Motherpucker Lip Gloss
blemers 4/7/2011 7:53:00 AM
I love this stuff! It's both my favorite plumper and my favorite gloss. I wish it had a bit more color, but I like it none the less. I wouldn't describe the feeling as a stinging feeling as others have. I would describe it as more of a tingling sensation and I quite like it. Maybe I'm just strange? It is a bit sticky, but I think that's what makes it so long lasting. Just don't apply too much and you'll be fine. I wasn't fond of the chocolate scent at first, I usually prefer fruity scents in lip glosses, but after a while I got used to the chocolate scent. Overall, I love this, would absolutely purchase it again, and would recommend it to anyone who wants fuller looking lips.

Treatments -Biore - Pore Cleansing Strips - Nose
blemers 4/7/2011 7:40:00 AM
I was disappointed in these. Let me start by saying they do work. They did pull my black heads out, but not many of them. They only pulled minimal amounts of blackheads out of the sides of my nose and nothing off the bridge. The only reason I know it actually worked is because I looked at the strip. I didn't notice a difference just looking at my nose. I wish I was one of those people who could rave about this product because I really wanted to love it, but sadly it's just been sitting in my collection of unused products because it just didn't do much for me.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
blemers 4/7/2011 7:34:00 AM
I first tried this about two years ago and I must say I love this face scrub and always find myself going back to it. I've tried pretty much every facial scrub in the drug store and this one always wins. It's not too harsh, but it exfoliates nicely. I find a lot of exfoliating scrubs to be too gentle. This one's perfect. I'll definitely repurchase it and I definitely recommend it

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
blemers 4/7/2011 7:25:00 AM
It's okay. It seems to be flaky when I apply it and it feels very heavy. I have to say that I do like the coverage it gives, but I just can't stand the texture and that it feels like my skin can't breathe when I have it on. It also has a tendency to cause breakouts, which I have enough of already! All in all, I like the coverage, but not much else. Also, I should add that I had a hard time finding the right color. I have fair skin and I bought the lightest one I could find at my Walgreen's, I believe it was shade 1, but it was still too orangey for me. After blending and applying a powder, I can get it to look decent, but I really have to watch for foundation lines around the jaw line.

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
blemers 4/7/2011 7:18:00 AM
I think Proactive is best for teenage or hormonal skin. Why? Well I used it when I was in high school and it seemed to work quite well, however, when I quit using it my skin appeared to be worse than it had been before I started. That could have possibly been a coincidence or it could just be that my skin had been clear for a while so when I stopped using it the outbreaks seemed worse. That being said, I went back to using this several months ago at age 25 after not having used it since I was a teenager. My results were very minimal this time around. It didn't seem to do much except dry out my skin. I wouldn't buy it or recommend it, at least not for adults with acne-prone skin.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
blemers 4/7/2011 7:14:00 AM
This is a good cleanser that's recommended often. It does the job and it's gentle so it's good for sensitive skin. It doesn't seem to do anything for acne, but it does leave my skin clean and soft. I've purchased it several times and I would purchase it again.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Color Quick Chrome Pens
blemers 4/7/2011 5:49:00 AM
I like these far better than the Nicole version of them. I got a nice, even, opaque color with one coat and these ones are shiny too. The stiff brush is hard to use though. That being said, considering the cost, the brush and the amount of polish you get, I wouldn't buy these again unless they were on clearance because it really didn't save me that much time.

Polishes -Nicole - Nic's Sticks - Stick With Me
blemers 4/7/2011 5:40:00 AM
I love the idea, but I like the Sally Hansen version of these, way better than the Nicole version, which is surprising since these are more expensive and OPI is typically awesome. I have three colors and they're all very sheer, streaky, and bland looking. You need several coats to get opaque and it's just not worth it to me. They're not shiny without a topcoat, they're messy, and they take a lot of trial and error to use. I'd rather buy a regular polish and get twice the polish for half the price and not have to work so hard at getting the color to appear how it's supposed to.

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Seche Base Coat
blemers 4/7/2011 5:30:00 AM
This base coat is just okay. I noticed that when I use this with certain brands of nail polish I get the peeling problems described below by other members. Typically I still get 2-3 days before it peels and I repaint my nails pretty often so it's not that big of an issue for me, but for the price, I'd rather buy something that doesn't peel. I'll continue to use what I have left, but I wouldn't repurchase it.

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
blemers 4/7/2011 5:24:00 AM
I LOVE this top coat. It dries super fast and leaves a very glossy, glass-like finish to your nails. By super fast I mean it dries completely, not just to the touch, in ten minutes flat, even if you have over 5 coats of polish beneath it. There are two reasons it gets 4 stars instead of 5 and those are as follows: a) It has horrible chemicals in it. Certain ingredients in Seche Vite are believed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm in the state of California. Scary, but if you use it in a well ventilated area and aren't inhaling it, it should be fine. b) Shrinkage! With certain brands of polish I've noticed that my tips are exposed much quicker than the rest of my nail. Using the Seche Vite while my color is still wet seems to remedy the problem.

Polishes -Revlon - Super Top Speed Lily
blemers 4/7/2011 5:12:00 AM
I love this color. I had been looking for this color for a while with no luck and only bought the Revlon brand because it's the only one in this color I could find. Typically, I do not like Revlon polishes. They seem to be runny and take forever to dry, but I was thoroughly impressed with this one. It' beautiful and you can get opaque with one thick coat, though I choose to do two thin coats. It evens out nicely so there isn't much of an issue with streaking. It's a beautiful color and I definitely recommend it.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear - Mellow Yellow
blemers 4/7/2011 5:03:00 AM
Love the color, hate the bubbles. I was looking for a bright yellow for a long time when I found this one. The color is a perfect yellow. It applied fine, though not quite as nicely as say an Essie or Finger Paints polish, but my only issue is that I did have a few bubbles when it dried and streaks during application. The streaks seem to dissipate after two to three coats, when you reach opaque so the streaks don't bother me really. I'm used to applying two coats and completely expected to with such a light color. That being said, I would repurchase/recommend this because it's hard to find yellows like this and I only witnessed bubbles on a few nails. It's only about $2-$3 per bottle so I think it's decent for the inexpensive price.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Celeb City
blemers 4/7/2011 4:53:00 AM
I LOVE this! I've notice that it takes two coats to get completely opaque, but let me just say, I typically use thin coats and I think you could get away with one fairly thick coat. This color is so sparkly and pretty. It really looks like a disco ball on your nails. So pretty. I can't really comment on the staying power because quite honestly I redo my nails every 2 to 3 days, but I will say I had this on for 2 full days with zero chipping and I think with a good topcoat the staying power would be great.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Onyx Professional 3-2-1 Dry! Salon Nail Dryer
blemers 4/7/2011 4:44:00 AM
I feel like this was a complete waste of money, but looking at other reviews I have to wonder if maybe I'm just using it wrong. I bought this to use it with Sinful Colors nail polish because they take forever to dry, but it doesn't seem to do anything but make my polish tacky. I've tried spraying at different distances, using more spray, using less spray, but always the same outcome. If I use too much it even alters the appearance of the polish and takes away the shine and the smell! Don't get me started on the smell. It smells overbearingly of baby powder so if you use it, make sure you use it outside or in a very well ventilated area. Maybe it works better with other brands of polish? I'm not sure, but for now I think I'll stick with my quick drying top coats and drops.
