Fragrances -The Body Shop - Japanese Cherry Blossom EDT
rated 5 of 5

I got this and the Japanese Cherry Blossom body mist for my birthday as I got the review that this doesn't last. I did it with the hope that combination of the EDT AND Mist can help it last longer! and it does! Somehow it works on me, a very light sweet and a bit woody scent. Just what i'm looking for as the REAL perfumes smell a bit too much (my mother complains A LOT!). The fragrance lasts for about 3-4 hours, with the mist it lasts for 5 hours. I think it's not bad at all given the price is cheaper than other EDT/EDP which smell awful and overwhelmed. I wouldn't mind reapplying it at all as it smell nice and comfortable. However, I would love to try the one by L'occitaine and Bath&Body Works. I heard they are even better and stronger in lasting power. Well, at least for now, this serves me very well for a sweet taste in the winter. Some reviews say it suits summer more, so I can't wait to try it in summer! Price: a lot more expensive than the one by Bath&Body Works ($25 (-10% off already!!) for 50ml while BBW is $25 for 75ml) - while the BBW is rated a bit higher :( didn't think it's a steal :( Packaging: very simple, economical yet lovely. I like it! However TBS products do not have carton boxes so i'm afraid it might get sour given the humid weather in my place :( *praying* Recommended? YES :)

Foundations -The Body Shop - All-In-One Face Base
rated 3 of 5

First of all, this powder is expensive. Hell expensive, as all TBS makeup products are! Even though I bought 1 in number 6 already, my friend gave me another in number 6. Or else I would never buy this again. It does make my face a bit smooth, but not as I expected. People easily noticed that you are using powder, which is disappointing as I love to go for a natural look. One minus point of this product is that its colors are too bright. I have rather fair skin and go for number 4 (6 is the darkest) and it is still too white!! I sometimes even have to mix a number 4 with a number6 to get what I want. Hmm I don't see the effect of this product much in terms of make-up. Good ingredients I guess. Price: $30

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Sumptuous
rated 5 of 5

I got a mini Sumptous and I love love love this mascara! Since I wear glasses, my eyes are very sensitive and the other mascaras just make it worse, even left traces on my glasses (lengthening effect i supposed?) But this mascara is just perfect! It adds volume to my lashes, make those lashes very visible, black, curly and long enough to be seen and admired! No clumps, no dirt. just applied easily :) My eyes are like transformed, looking greater than ever! The price is cheap as I got it in a mini. packaging is good as I like things portable. And YES, I will buy this product again! Price: $4.5 (cheap, right???) P/s: the swatch photos in this review are bad. my lashes look nothing like that, it is more natural with great volume. xxxxx

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream
rated 4 of 5
blake0202 1/25/2012 10:09:00 AM

The packaging is good as the tube allows very little come out at a time, an adequate amount enough for the whole face. No too much or too few, just enough. It also looks quite high-class. The price is great, a bit higher than other bbcream (e.g BB cream of SKINFOOD) but affordable (my friend bought it for me in Korea - so cheap about USD11). Moreover I believe a 50ml tube can be used for 1 years at least! I am using it in the winter, it is very matte. I must say the cover is very great! Missha delivers its promise on perfect cover. My skin looks flawlessly yet very naturally. I also use a bit (just very few!) powder on top of it. but without powder it's okay. I guess in summer we still need powder to control the oil. However, I am still doubtful about the promise of "skincare" or "anti-aging". It's good for cover, and I use it instead of foundation, that's all. Worth a try ;)
