Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Palty Demi Permanent Hair Dye in Bitter Cappuccino
blacktimes21 5/18/2011 4:12:00 PM
I am so glad other people like this product and it's being rated on an english site! I've been using this dye in a variety of colors whenever I can get my hands on it ( which is rarely because it's not sold anywhere near my area). It's my favorite in terms of the color selection and gentleness and it always shows up on my dark hair ,which is a miracle! My only complaint is that it can be hard to get hold of, although it's on e Bay for a reasonable price. And it is worth the extra effort and money! I can't stress how much I love the Japanes lines of hair dye <3

Mascara -Rimmel - Lash Accelerator
blacktimes21 12/28/2010 7:34:00 PM
I wasn't expecting much from a 7$ ds mascara, but I really like this. Out of all the crazy-expensive lash primers & potions that promised to make my lashes longer, this actually DID. There hasn't been a huge change, but it's been noticeable to me- at least several cm in the month I've been using it. The mascara also has a really nice lengthening effect if you work with it. It can pull out a curl, but I just curl after it's dried and problem solved. It certainly does take a while to dry, but I don't mind. This is a great, affordable mascara!

Lip Treatments -Cover Girl - NatureLuxe lip balm in Marble
blacktimes21 12/28/2010 7:20:00 PM
I bought this in 'hibiscus'- a solid bright pink in the tube. Having read reviews and hearing these were super sheer, I bought it anyway. Applied thickly it's a lovely blush color with just enough sheen and a flattering amount of color. Just enough to let my lips' natural color through. I think it's a great no-fuss balm. No matter how slapdash I am about applying it, it always looks lovely.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Volume Shocking Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
blacktimes21 7/7/2010 8:49:00 PM
So I think this product is discontinued, probably due to how sub-par and craptastic it is. I bought it years ago and used it maybe twice, but it was so horrible it stuck in my memory. It's a two-part mascara with primer and comb brush, housed in a chunky palm sized package. The formula is so heavy it is literally impossible to keep a curl and because the comb brush is clogged with product it offers absolutely no definition. It looked like I had four or five thick, droopy, wet lashes on each eye; the worst case of spider leg lashes in history. Maybe this would make a good gift for someone you disliked, but not recommended. At all

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Crystal Duo (generally)
blacktimes21 7/7/2010 8:36:00 PM
I really like glitter eyeshadow, but one thing you have to accept is that it probably won't stay on very long. I actually like this shadow for the shimmery, reflective quality and have never had any flecks fall into my eyes (ouch!). Granted it's not very pigmented, but I wasn't expecting a lot of color. I generally use this on the brow bone and inner corners of my eyes as a highlighter, and it does a good job of that.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Plum
blacktimes21 7/7/2010 8:22:00 PM
I bought this on a whim, because I love purple mascara and because my mom was paying, ha ha (thanks, mom!). I had tried the original Bad Gal Black and really didn't like it- too clumpy, heavy and smudged at the slightest provocation. For some reason the Bad Gal Plum is much more manageable and less thick so it doesn't weigh my lashes down. I also don't have any problems with smudging. I don't know if it 'enhances' the color of my dark brown eyes, but it does compliment them ( : I also like the color- not garishly bright, and not so dark you don't notice the color.

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
blacktimes21 7/7/2010 8:10:00 PM
Bought this on a trip to a much hotter climate and needed something to keep shine and oil to a minimum. I have to say, this is one of the best powders I've used. It's very finely milled and completely natural looking match for my summer tan ( I bought 'All the World's a Stage' beige). It feels light and comes with a 15 spf rating as well so it seemed like my hg. But after maybe a day of using it I started to break out terribly! I've been blessed with good skin so it was really strange to just break out, all over- the reason why this didn't get five lippies. But I don't know if it was the climate change or the powder so I'll just wait and see. This is overall, a great product so I hope it's not the cause of my skin problems... : / Update: No, it was definitely the powder doing all that damage. I blame the oxybenzone- Should've checked the ingredients. One lippie.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Easy Lounger
blacktimes21 6/15/2010 1:26:00 PM
My mom bought this for me so I don't really know how much it was or what other colors were available; but as for as i can tell this is just a very shimmery peach gloss. Nothing too special. Not highly pigmented, just shine and sparkle. The texture is quite tacky but stays on very well and the packaging is cute. A good gloss overall (especially if you prefer a natural look) but it wouldn't be hard to find something less expensive with more color saturation.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm
blacktimes21 6/9/2010 5:31:00 PM
I generally don't like lipstains because they tend to be drying and fade quickly if balm/ gloss is applied over or under. But this comes with a lovely balm and stays on the whole day- I applied it in the morning, went to work and the gym when I came home the rich berry stain was still there. And it's not drying at all. The color selection is also very nice and comes out quite intense so there's no need for layering ( : If you like stains, try this

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Daily Protective Lotion for Sensitive Skin SPF 15
blacktimes21 5/19/2010 7:27:00 PM
I have somewhat sensitive skin, but tend to get away with a lot. I thought something for 'sensitive skin' would be great and soothing for when my skin was a bit irritated. But as soon as I applied it to my face I noticed it was a) heavily scented- and not with natural oils, but synthetic perfumes. It actually stank. Not good at all. And b.) it was thick and greasy, didn't soak in, and made my face look shiny. All this, and it gave me a terrible rash at the end of the day. I had to throw it in the trash after one use. Obviously not a good product for me, but it's kind of weird that a product with so much scent/ irritants could be marketed for sensitive skin...

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - One- Natural Shea Butter Lip Balm
blacktimes21 5/19/2010 7:06:00 PM
I really don't know what I was thinking when I bought this; I'm not much of a lip balm person, especially if it comes in a pot (too un-hygenic for my taste, silly I know). But they had a special honey flavor and it was cheap so I couldn't resist. But the texture is waaay too hard to apply. You have to warm it up first, then swirl your finger in the tin, a lot, then apply and usually repeat to get any product to your mouth. Too much effort, I say. Also, it didn't smell like honey at all. I use it occasionally as cuticle cream in a pinch.

Mascara -Almay - Intense i-color w/ Light Interplay Technology
blacktimes21 5/5/2010 7:45:00 PM
Bought this along w/ an eyeliner in the chocolate brown color. Like the other reviewer mentioned, it doesn't do too much to enhance eye color, but I didn't expect as much ( : Formula is OK, but a little dry and for me, clumps easily, and didn't do much for length; but it does volumize well. I bought it more for the color- a rich, chocolate brown with a bit of subtle glimmer and sparkle- absolutely gorgeous. The best part is the color actually shows when you apply it, which is rare for a colored macara

Mascara -Peter Thomas Roth - Lashes To Die For The Mascara
blacktimes21 5/5/2010 7:36:00 PM
A great treatment mascara; dark black, moisturizing and actually holds a curl (!). I own several PTR products and while they may seem a bit expensive, you pay for the quality you get. I love this stuff- it's not too dramatic and great for a subtle everyday look.

Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew
blacktimes21 4/28/2010 7:42:00 PM
I bought this because of the circular packaging, and because it was fairly inexpensive. I like the delivery and execution, but it's no different than any other stick-type balm. I had to stop using it because the texture was just too hard and didn't glide easily on my lips; it felt like rubbing a rock on my mouth. Way better balm out there, but nice packaging and it smelled wonderful ( :

Lips -Hard Candy - Balm Girls tinted lip balm
blacktimes21 3/10/2010 8:55:00 PM
I bought this for the packaging, but it's a great product too. I don't usually like stick balms due to the high wax content, but this was nice and soft. Left a nice, sheer shine and was less sticky than a gloss. I have the orangey/ coral shade but they broadened the color selection since I last bought. Cheap as heck and highly recommended!
