Mascara -Kanebo - Kanebo Mascara 38*C Silk Performance

This gives only colour, it's great for the i've-got-no-makeup-look. There really is no lenghtening, thickening or volumising properties. In the beginning it's almost liquid and I've found that it needs dry out for a week or two until it's in its perfect stage. Due to the runniness, it doesn't hold a curl very well, but again, for the zero-mu look, it's perfect. It needs to be taken off from lashes, ie it doesn't come off with only rinsing, at least that's my experience. So for those with few lashes maybe a mascara that doesn't require any tugging to remove is better.

Mascara -Kanebo - Kanebo Mascara 38*C Silk Performance (Separating & Lengthening)

I used the original version of the 38*c for years until I decided I wanted bigger lashes. The gigantic brush was intimidating, but it turned out to be ok. This doesn't have the problem of the original smaller version that it's too liquidy in the beginning, but both of these do dry out quite quickly. I have straight lashes and this holds the curl ok, not sure of the separating thing, I always comb the lashes anyway. The fibres irritate my eyes if I apply carelessly, so although I don't wear contact lenses, there could be a problem for ones who do. But there's no flaking, just the application can't be done in a hurry. This is a bit tricky to review since this mascara does do what I want it to (kind of what I already have but better), but I'm not sure if it delivers what it promises to. Washes off well, so there's that at least.

Styling Products -Matrix - Vavoom Height Of Glam Volumizing Mousse

Good stuff, although I'm sure there are better ones out there. I apply to wet hair, then blow-dry and style with a round brush. My hair gets slightly frizzy, which it doesn't normally do, so I think this kind of softens the hair. Second day hair is a bit clumpy, but on the other hand I would say it does hold quite well against humidity. The nozzle blocks up regularly and the bottle is sooo 80s.

These are perfect for the 1-minute makeup in the morning. I use these on their own (over a foundation base), although they do work fabulously as a sort of colour base as well. I have a very dry and pale skin and while MAC shadowstick didn't work at all (badbad product actually), these are very soft and, more importantly, stay that way, at least for as long as a stick lasts, which seems to be forever (I don't use every day). It doesn't wash off with plain water, but does get smudgy during the the day. Though it does stay blendable. I would be willing to pay a LOT more for these, but good thing they are cheap so they balance off all the other extravagancies.
