I went to MAC and asked for a matte bronzing powder, and the sales associate suggested Golden. It looked matte in the store, but when I tried it again at home it had tiny gold flecks in it. Being lazy, I didn't return it. However, I grew to love this shade and it is one of my most used products during the summer. It blends beautifully and gives a natural wash of colour. The gold flecks aren't even very noticable. Love!
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation

I read many mixed reviews on this product, but I thought I'd give it a shot because it seemed appropriate for my combination skin. I bought #30 and it was a good colour match, but I found this pretty drying and it seemed to age me... I guess it settled into the lines on my face (and I don't have many!) It gave nice coverage, though and left a nice matte finish. I returned this to Sephora, and the sales associate even said that it was more appropriate for someone older than me (im a teenager). She reccomended Clinique Superfit, and I purchased that, and I love it! If you do purchase this, I would recommend you use a primer underneath, because this brings out your dry spots. Hope this helps!
Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Concealer

I had to return this because it made me break out. When I returned this, the salesperson said she had the same problem with the True Match foundation. Also, it had a bit of shimmer in it, and I wanted a matte concealer. It was good for undereye circles, though. It blended well and didn't look cakey.
Scrubs -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash pink grapefruit foaming scrub

I absolutely love the smell of this scrub. It smells like real grapefruits and it's so fresh. It cleared up my skin (it has 2% salicylic in it) in a week or so and leaves it feeling smooth every time I use it. A little bit goes a long way. Would definitely recommend it, although for people with drier skins, don't use this everyday. LOVELOVELOVE
I bought the mini version of this mascara, because it was cheaper. It separated my lashes very nicely, and gave a natural look. I just wish it was a little darker, because I like really black mascaras for my dark eyes. This didn't really give me gigantic lashes like I was hoping for, although it was nice for everyday use.
Blush -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear 2-in-1 Bronzer & Blush

I would never recommend this to anyone. It smelled so bad!! I don't even know the smell was, it was just downright gross. I like the fact that it is ecofriendly, however it would be nice if the product actually worked. After about 6 swipes I finally got some colour, but it was too shimmery. Not worth the price AT ALL. Give this as a gift to someone you dont like, so they can smell bad :)
Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Concealer [DISCONTINUED]

I LOVE the texture of this concealer! When the salesperson was helping me find a concealer, I just had to have this one. It was on sale for about $6. This works really well for under eye circles, although it is a little drying. It works fairly well on acne, but you have to be more careful with that, because if you put too much on it looks cakey. This is a little moisturizing, so its good for dry acne spots. The shade I bought works well with my paler, winter skin, but I know I'll have to switch to my MUFE concealer in the summer, which is slightly darker. Definitely recommend this!
Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
bittersweet252 4/3/2010 4:09:00 PM
This foundation was too moisturizing for my oily skin. I bought the lightest shade and it still went on too dark, even if I only used a drop. I spent a lot of time blending this into my face, but sometimes when I'd get home after school, I'd notice a dark line where I didn't blend properly. When I took the lid off the tube, foundation always came pouring out. However, I liked the fact that this had SPF 15 in it. I guess this foundation would be good for those with normal/dry skin. I wouldn't recommend this for people with really pale skin. Hope this helps!
This is a good foundation for the price I bought it for ($4). It works better when my skin is more oily in the summer or if I'm wearing a heavier moisturizer. It is nice and light. It gives medium coverage and has a nice powdery matte finish. This product can accentuate dry spots, so make sure to moisturize. Also, it only lasts about four hours before you need a touchup. I only use this when I don't want to use my more expensive foundation.
Blush -Revlon - Matte Powder Blush - #003 - Perfectly Peach

If you want an inexpensive, basic blush, this is it. I bought this a few days ago in Perfectly Peach and I love it so far. It goes on smoothly, stays on all day, and gives me a natural looking flush. I wouldn't recommend using the brush it comes with, you should use a proper blush or contouring brush. There's even a little mirror in the compact for touch-ups. I didn't notice a smell either, some blushes I've tried smell terrible. I read in a magazine that you can use your blush as an eyeshadow at the same time you're wearing the blush, for a natural, monochromatic look. This blush works very well as an eyeshadow as well. Hope this helps :)
