Bath Treatments -LUSH - Ma Bar Bubble Bar
biscuitaddict 8/2/2010 10:55:00 AM
Vanilla fudge smell, lovely :) the bars are set up similar to fruit in a display! all stacked up and with yellow paper bags to the side to put your bars in. This particular bar has two halves one side white and one side brown with a brown sugar cube in the center. i cut my bar into quarters and found that this gave the perfect amount of bubbles and scent which will also give you more value for your money. The price of the bubble bar at the time of purchase was £2.45 or $3.87 dollars which I think is pretty reasonable for 4 luxurious baths. Yes, the water in the bath does not look like the nicest but who cares?! it's fudge scented and has a light moisturizing feature which is great :) bubbles are plentiful and soft like fluffy pillows, it's just lovely :)

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Natural Facial Scrub
biscuitaddict 7/15/2010 5:37:00 PM
After seeing rave reviews about the Mint Julep Masque, i spotted this in my local sally's beauty supply store (i live in the UK) and it was marked down from £5.93 to £2.95 however after adding VAT it was around £3.30 so from around $9 to $5 which is a bit more than the US if i'm right. At first i thought this was the Mint Julep Masque however i was still optimistic about this as it still had good reviews and smelt nice. This went beyond my expectations, normally i feel like i need a coarse scrub for it to actually scrub however this had fine ground walnut or almond shells, and once i rinsed off my skin was so soft and smooth! I only needed to use a small amount probably 2 peas for my whole face so i think that the tube should last a while. My only gripe about this product is that it isn't widely available in the UK! and also it's more expensive here :(. however i definitely recommend this!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - I should Coco Soap [DISCONTINUED]
biscuitaddict 6/22/2010 6:30:00 PM
After hearing that this soap was discontinued, when I popped out of town where there was a lush store, I decided to have a look at whether they still had any left, luckily they did. After asking one of the helpful staff about this soap, i was still a bit curious as to whether i should buy a chunk or not as I tend to be really iffy with some fragrances so the sales assistant cut me a decent sized sample weighing probably around 50g or 1.75oz. This soap was a pleasant surprise! it smelt slightly musky yet you can still smell the coconut, the dessicated coconut shavings were really nice as they provided some exfoliation for your skin and because the soap was so creamy, it didn't dry out your skin. I'm now a bit disappointed that this product is being discontinued as I would have liked to purchase some in the future. If you have any more questions please feel free to message me :)

Polishes -GOSH - Wild Lilac
biscuitaddict 5/20/2010 2:35:00 PM
Wild lilac is a great colour for year round! I bought this in my local superdrug for £5 which was slightly more then i wish to payed, however they were the only brand with a nice lilac colour, I originally thought that the colour was a tad too dark however when I got round to actually applying the colour i loved it!, the product comes in a small round bottle, similar to the style of mac and nails inc however with a black matte lid. The colour needs to be applied in two coats for a strong colour but it dries super fast! it's of a nice creamy consistency that's super nice. May purchase more colours in the future :)

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Jojoba daily moisturising cream
biscuitaddict 1/29/2010 5:24:00 PM
This product has worked wonders for my face, I have VERY dry skin with eczema, the cream comes in a beige coloured pot with green fonted writing, inside is a lighter coloured cream of the pot and also has a plastic inner lid thing, I like to keep the inner lid in mine as it prevents cream going everywhere, the cream is very thick and reminds me of lush's celestial that i had a sample of once. The smell is a bit off putting at first but then you get used to it after a day or so. It's very hydrating and I managed to snag 2 pots for just £1 each in the january sales! I was so happy! as this saved me approximately £15, i probably wouldn't pay full price for this however it does work wonderfully.

Shampoo -LUSH - I Love Juicy
biscuitaddict 1/29/2010 5:11:00 PM
I LOVE lush, however this product just didn't do it for me. I have combination hair, however it tends to be a bit more on the greasy side. So I thought that this shampoo would be great for me, I liked the smell at first however when I used it, it started to turn a bit sickly, too much like sugar syrup but stronger and also resembled the colour as well. For a small bottle of 100ml, was around roughly under £5. The colour of mine looked different to the one thatis shown on the website and on makeupalley so maybe i had gotten a bad batch? Oh well, I've found squeaky green now so nevermind :)

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Porridge Soap
biscuitaddict 1/29/2010 4:57:00 PM
This is my first soap that I have purchased from lush, so far so good i say! I bought a very reasonably sized chunk for £4.86 that weighed for 164g if i remember correctly. Slightly expensive for a teenager haha, however, i think that it is definitely worth the money. I cut my chunk into two so that i wouldn't have to have a big slab, however a downside to this product would be that it leaves a brown like liquid in the bottom of your soap dish/box. The people complaining about the oat bits? they are not rough at all! and also how are they big enough to block drains? I have no idea. This soap leaves my skin feeling very soft, and I have just started liking the whole eco idea so the packaging is good, however if you want to save some, i find that if you leave it in the original packaging, it tends to break so i wrapped the remaining in some kitchen baking sheet. The smell is odd, its not pleasant just to sniff, however its nice in the shower, smells like orange juice and slightly like cornflakes to me however i find that smell is a personal thing, a product may sound nice however it may smell completely different to how you expected it. Thanks for reading my review :)

Shampoo -LUSH - Squeaky Green
biscuitaddict 1/21/2010 2:15:00 PM
Teenage hair that needs washing everyday, hair type? Short, Dark Brown,Fine hair, Dry Scalp but Oily roots if that makes sense?, I wash my hair everyday apart from the break between saturday - sunday, and I wanted a new shampoo that would not damage my hair. This shampoo bar works WONDERS. I have been using this product for 20 days now and it hasn't shrunken at all!, and I must say I am in LOVE with it. The smell? very herbal and refreshing, certainly smells fresh! The look however may put you off, not the most pleasing. The twigs people complain about? I don't even notice them! they wash straight out :). This shampoo bar lathers so much! and its not those cheap chemical bubbles you get from typical bottle shampoos, they are small and thick and clean your hair ever so well. I personally store it in a plastic container with a sponge placed under it to prevent sticking and drain it out. The price seemed a tad high for me being a teenager with no income haha, however this has lasted ages and my hair hasn't rejected it like it would with others. Will definitely buy again, Aqua Miriballis is on my shopping list next time i pop into lush! :) UPDATE! I have kept track of how many uses I've had of squeaky green and the total comes to...103! That is amazing! :) I do not have running water pouring on my head while rubbing the bar on my head so maybe that saves some of it? If you have any questions feel free to ask me! :)
