Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - All Colors

I own about 8 different bottles of this line including some limited edition shades. They are all relatively good they last a good week and a half if you're constantly washing your hands and doing some some heavy duty work. Pastels tend to chip a lot easier, every three days most likely but there's one bottle in the bunch that I absolutely am disappointed at in the shade Vibrant Violet :( it was one of the limited edition shades of Summer 2012, this is absolutely terrible to apply. This came out as a watercolor purple, and it's absolutely streaky when it's finished! I was disappointed because I really like the shade but I can't return it so it's going to the garbage. Thumbs down.

Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Full Cover Concealer

I cannot believe how astonishing these reviews are... People should really pay attenion to what they're buying. For those of you who put the concealer under your eyes and thought it was going to work, way to go! It dries out to a matte finish for a MATTE look so don't try to put moisturizer and think it will muster. It's going to look creepy. Should've asked you SA maybe? Anyway, enough being brash. This is a fairly good concealer if you know how to use it right i made sure to read reviews before I purchased this I weighed my options out at Sephora looked in the mirror to see what shade I was in went outside did the same and I chose this one Concealer in #4 which matches my fair to light complexion and I also have a neutral to warm undertone. In case you didn't know the product has titanium and iron oxides so YES it's going to turn dark after you apply it I suggest you up a shade lighter than your skin tone especially if you're oily which makes it oxidize easier. This doesn't crease, but I do need to touch up every few hours, (depends on if you worked out that day or not) I really like it, it covers up what I need to and it doesn't look cakey If you read the directions it shows you how to apply it.I apply this on a clean face before liquid base with primer. I use my fingers to lightly stipple wait 2 seconds, blend it out, put a teensy little powder on it and then continue with your foundation routine. I hope this helps! Ok, I'm giving an update! I still loooove this concealer, this covers my blemishes/acne scars fairly well. Instead of primer I found that this sticks better with moisturizer because it's tacky whereas with primer it's like sand on sand it only sticks for a while. I do what the box instructs for the concealer to be applied as stated above. I encourage even girls with oily skin to moisturize your skin before you appliy makeup because it's tacky whereas if you dont put anything or put primer the silicone is going to bond with the titanium oxide and it will fade/not cover well.

Eye Makeup Remover -Mary Kay - Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
rated 5 of 5
bink180 3/30/2013 10:45:00 PM

I've had this makeup remover ever since I can remember, I was 13 when I started wearing mascara and this was the best thing I could ever use for my eyes it doesn't sting, it doesn't leave your eyes greasy just a tad oily and it works wonders it takes absolutely everything off! I'm not sure why there are negative reviews on these. Makes me sad. It's definately worth the price, it'll typically last me about 3 months give or take. The next best thing is neutrogena's oil-free makeup remover if you don't want to shell out the big bucks. It's the best dupe. I've recommended this to everyone I know and they love it!

Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Yes to grapefruit correct and repair brightening facial towelettes

Ok, so I thought I needed some aid into getting rid of my post-acne spots and bought this and compared it to the Neutrogena Grapefruit wipes and they were the same price at WalMart but this had more wipe count. In terms, of cleaning I feel like it exfoliates my face well. It's not meant to get rid of makeup sadly because not very much came off or maybe is it that I don't wear a lot? Anyhow, for those of you with sensitive skin... Nope, I won't recommend it because the Vitamin C dervied from the grapefruit kinda stings. My skin feels really clean after this and it's working!! So yeah, I definately recommend this, you're dogs will thank your sweet smelling face ;) EDIT: Ok I've had this for about a month now and I really like it! I'm finishing my first pack and then I'll get some more later. I really think this helped with my acne scarring! I have a couple breakouts lately but not from these wipes cause I've been sleeping in my make up after work and I'm too lazy to wash my face, lol. After I've woken up gotten the time to swipe my face a day later the zits have shrunk. My scars look significantly smaller and lighter.I use this in conjunction with Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit cream cleanser I can't stand the tight feeling after washing and as recommended I use sunscreen. La Roche Posay Mineral Anthelios 50 and/or BB cream with sunscreen. Alright there's my schpeal.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Corrector
rated 5 of 5
bink180 3/19/2013 12:02:00 PM

I'm very surprised at the negative reviews on the corrector! I actually like it, but I do agree there are some faults. I went to the Bobbi Brown counter with my best friends mom took get her concealer because she heard it was good she has some melasma and really dark circles due to being lactose intolerant. Anyway, so she tries on the corrector and she fell in love with it! It looked really natural covered everything and used it underneath the concealer. So I went out and bought it, and let me tell you a corrector for $28 is a huge splurge for a college girl! I bought it in the shade light peach I went outside with a mirror just to make sure it didn't look off. The corrector covered the veins under my eyes and my eyelids becasue the skin is so thin there.sometimes I use it alone because my skin has an olive/warm undertone anyway with out any concealer. The best way to apply it is with your fingers because they're warm to the touch. And every now and then my corrector would be in my study desk and it gets warm from my computer being there heating up all afternoon. It covers some dark post-acne spots that I have fairly well but I usually use Makeup Forever's Full Cover Concealer that you DONT USE UNDER YOUR EYES, I would shake my head everytime I heard reviews on that specific concealer and try to use it under their eyes. I would not recommend this to girls who have particularly oily skin, more like normal/combo/dry because it does crease a lot but I just put powder and I'm fine. Shelf life lasts up to 8 months if you're diligent in using it, it's supposed to last up to 2 years.

Cleansers -Clearasil - Ultra Acne + Marks Wash and Mask
rated 1 of 5
bink180 3/9/2013 11:28:00 PM

I usually read reviews before I buy something but I needed a cleanser that was going to get rid of my dark marks since Neutrogena's Redness Reducing Cream Cleanser has done it's duty well with my complexion after 3 tubes. I was in a rush and this was the first thing I grabbed. I read the ingredients when I got home and I thought "the less ingredients the better" so I washed my face the first time. It took my makeup off well with my Olay ProX Cleansing Brush my face was pretty tight. Woke up there was a flare up and didn't think there was a big deal thought my pores were bringing the junk up to the epidermis. After a week or so using this, I hate it. Absolutely hate it, I swear when I used my mom's cleanser it stopped flaring up. And now I have these patches of redness and they itched. I'm breaking out again. It undid what neutrogena did when I thought it was going to help get rid of my scars. :( Only pro is, it smelled good but for a mask it was really runny. I paid attention to the usage of this cleanser, and it didn't work. I should be attaching of what my face looks like after this cleanser. But I will be returning this to WalMart. Thumbs down, avoid at all costs. and if anyone has a suggestion for a cleanser for helping get rid of acne scars hit me up!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash redness soothing cream cleanser
rated 2 of 5
bink180 3/5/2013 11:05:00 PM

Ok, so this is my third tube of this and I'm almost finished with it. I've used this for about 8 months. It doesn't really seem to get rid of redness though I don't have much just around my nose and the sides of my mouth, its very similar to the Acne Stress Control cream cleanser, smells similar, works similar. I would not buy this again because it doesn't even do as it claims, hasn't combatted acne nor reduce redness. Doesn't take off makeup well either. But I will say it didn't anger my skin either so I guess this is a so-so cleanser.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
rated 3 of 5
bink180 2/26/2013 12:49:00 PM

Trying to find the perfect primer, I got this as a sample with the special going on at Ulta last year. I like how it feels on my skin, doesn't make my skin angry, no breakouts, very smooth very easy for my liquid foundation to apply. I haven't tried it in humid weather so I'll update this hopefully, and it indeed makes my pores disappear but my pores are small to begin with. :) It looks like a beige colored mousse. The one thing I noticed was it made my TruMatch oxidize a little more and I used it a tint lighter than my natural skin tone. I thought about getting the Mineral Infused primer from E.L.F. since it's cheaper and I'm strapped on cash. I would recommend this primer.

Moisturizers -Bobbi Brown - Hydrating Gel Cream
rated 3 of 5
bink180 2/25/2013 9:24:00 PM

This was a sample I got when I was getting Pretty Powerful signed by Bobbi in September and I just chucked it in my bag thought "Oh this is nice, but I'm not sure if I would use it since I have bountiful amounts of creams" Fast forward to December, Texas weather is constantly changing and it was dry and cold as can be and I didn't feel like using my primer. So I couldn't find my "good occasion" gel moisturizer I looked for this one and... it feels pretty nice actually. Now I blend it with my liquid makeup to give it that nice dewy glow, and for some reason I really like this smell it's not offensive, it smells like there's like a white pepper scent to it? It's light, you might not tell. Good thing is, it doesn't break me out, especially weird since it comes in a jar and they're not the most hygenic. I like the way it feels, it's light, can be used for any skin type just have to apply it right! Not really sure if I can speak for the tender-skinned because I don't have sensitive skin but most Bobbi products don't bother people. I use it underneath my makeup, swirl it in with liquid base. Done. Healthy skin. If you're looking for some miracle properties in this, skip it unless you just need some good hydration. I'm glad I got this as a sample 'cause I cannot afford a full size. haha.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
rated 3 of 5
bink180 2/25/2013 9:10:00 PM

I had the BB cream for a few months now, I saw this at Wal-Mart and went looking for a yellow-toned lighter BB cream because the L'Oreal was starting to look orangey on me so I grabbed this one. I have combo/normal skin in the winter and this looked promising without making my face looking like a grease pit. In November when I tried in the shade Light it was a little too light then. Tried it out again in December, perfect! Pros: It "blurs" my imperfections It's moisturing Dewy Covers redness beautifully! Adapts to my skin color well Makes pores less visible but doesn't look like they dissapear (figures!) SPF 30!!! very important. Cons: Lacks staying power even with powder to set. :( but it never claimed it did anyway. haha It doesn't really look like it primes I bought it for about $7.50 at Walmart. I'd recommend this for the spring since it is semi-water based. This season I just used it extra moisturizer. It's not ground-breaking but if you wanted to have a shot at American BB creams this is a good one to start with. Hope this helps.

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 5 of 5
bink180 12/27/2012 7:49:00 PM

Ok, so for my birthday i had a gift card to Sephora and I really needed some blush, and what better brand do I turn to for that? NARS... I know that Orgasm is the cult favorite and blahblahblah but I wanted something a lot more pinker and a lot more suitable to wear everyday. I swatched every blush they had and was stuck between Amore and Deep Throat so... you know which won, and it was the best money I had spent on makeup that season. Very pigmented, great for eveeryday, not too heavy not too light. just perfect!

Blush -NARS - Blush Duo in Hungry Heart
rated 2 of 5
bink180 12/27/2012 7:34:00 PM

*Sigh* I really like NARS products I really do, there's not one time I've been to the counter and haven't bought anything. But Hungry Heart was quite a dissapointment, especially since there have been a lot of good reviews on YouTube especially on their blushes. That was a lot of money just spent on finely milled glitter I mean there was no color for it to show up, I've tried many brushes and it's still not any different. Maybe if i wet the brush it would be better...? All in all, if you're looking for a nice ivory/golden highlighter skip this one unless someone at the counter shows you how to use it in a way that shows up and if you do lemme know!

Moisturizers -Korres - Pomegranate Balancing Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
bink180 12/27/2012 7:24:00 PM

This is my second jar of this and i guess since I've turned twenty and my skin is not as aggressive it's reacting differently this time... For sanitary purposes I would use a cotton square to apply it on my face but it didn't feel moisturized enough so I used my CLEAN WASHED hands which seemed to be a better application, typically i would use this as a winter moisturizer but this is not moisturizing enough anymore like it used to :( and i have combo-oily skin instead I'm using it as a primer because this has pore refining ingredients = tannins. (I'll let you research that) It smells really nice, lasts a loooong time despite it being in a jar, but if you have acneic-problematic skin and/or combo-oily skin I suggest to use this as your WINTER moisturizer is feels like water is gliding on to your skin. :) I'm thinking about using a serum along with this becasue it's not as moisturizing on its own.

Highlighters -Physicians Formula - Mineral Glow Pearls- Translucent Pearls
rated 4 of 5
bink180 12/27/2012 7:13:00 PM

Ok, so since I was a little tight on money and I couldn't get my MAC hghlighter i decided to go with Physician's since a couple of their products are my staples like the mood blushes! Anyway, it came in a compact with a mirror on the bottom with the brush. didn't really understand why the mirror was on the bottom when they could've put it on the top like normal compacts. The brush is always useless so of course I chunked it. If you're anything close to a light-medium skin tone this will not show up. I get in that skin tone spectrum during the spectrum and I left it in the bottom of the drawer. However, if you're fair like I am in the winter this will show up! I use a slanted foundation brush and apply at the tops of my cheeks, my chin, and my forehead and it looks pretty luminous. Aside from it being a drugstore brand it's pricey so I suggest you read reviews to filter to your skin type before you spend. They tried but failed on packaging, I wouldn't buy it again in my opinion I kind of miss my luminzer. haha

Treatments -John Frieda - Go Blonder Lightening Spray
rated 1 of 5
bink180 9/20/2012 11:26:00 PM

I just recently had my hair bleached and thought this help brighten it a little bit. It says it activates with heat and the more heat you use the faster the lightening results will be. It claims that is contains a thermo-protectant but I didn't beleive it. So I used heat-protecting spray just to see if it would affect in any way. Didn't work. So I waited a couple days and tried again without the heat protectant, it lightened the slightest slightest bit and it dried out my hair so bad. I'm assuming it might just work better for natural blondes. but this just wasn't rocking my socks off. Taking it back.
