Cleansers -Glytone - Mild Gel Wash
bellarosa 10/18/2011 8:56:00 AM
I've been using this for around a year after reading about in an InStyle magazine article about what products dermatologists use. This stuff works. I have light acne scars and the occasional zit. After using this product in the morning only and following it up with the toner from the same line, my face looks smoother, clearer and younger (I'll take it!). At night, I use an Aveeno cleanser to remove my makeup, Almay eye makeup remover and I follow it up with the Patricia Wexler exfoliant cleanser. After drying my skin, I add a layer of the Neutrogena rapid night time retin lotion. This combo has worked so well for me. All suggestions from both Allure and Instyle magazine article on what dermatologists use on their face.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash mascara in brown/black
bellarosa 8/10/2011 11:53:00 PM
I would never buy this mascara again. I used it on Monday morning and by that evening when i went to take it off, my eyes were burning! I ended up with a really bad allergic reaction to this mascara - the new formula in the pink and black packaging. Both my upper eyelids and lower area beneath my eyes swelled up and started to itch. I ended up having to get a prescription drug from my doctor for Patanol (eye drops) and Claritin. To top it off, this product didn't even do anything special to my lashes - no volume buildup or lengthening. Don't waste your money on this.

Foundations -Max Factor - MAX FACTOR LASTING PERFORMANCE
bellarosa 2/22/2009 9:03:00 AM
Great drugstore foundation. My skin is combo - T-zone area with slight oiliness. This foundation provides a natural, long-lasting medium coverage. I first apply my moisturizer - Garnier - then a primer - Avon - then the foundation. I then set it with MUA High def powder. The results are incredible! I have really long days - up at 5am and home by 7pm. When I get home, I take off my makeup and am really amazed at how good it still looks! This is really a great product and one I would definitely recommed.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
bellarosa 1/4/2009 1:56:00 AM
I got a sample of this at Sephora and will definitely be purchasing it. The coverage is great - not too light or too heavy (i.e. cakey). I apply moisturer, primer, then the foundation and set it with powder. It lasts all day for me. The MA at Sephora matched me with #120 and its perfect. I've tried so many foundations - Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinique, MAC and this is the best of the bunch, for me anyway. Get a sample at Sephora first if you're unsure purchasing it because of the price.

Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Help Me
bellarosa 12/28/2008 1:45:00 PM
I finally bought this product after reading all of the reviews on MA. This stuff is amazing! I've been using it for two weeks and I've noticed a definite difference in my skin. I'm 42 years old and my husband took a picture of my the other day - he said I look so young! Okay, that's a big compliment coming from him! Anyway, my skin before I used the Help Me retinol cream was bad - big pores, old acne scars and a few lines. I'm not kidding you, this has made a HUGE improvement on my skin. I apply this at night after I was my face - I use Dove Proage facial cleanser on my face. I wait 15-20 minutes before I apply the Help Me cream. I don't add a moisturizer to it. I found that with my skin - combo - my face was becoming very oily. In the morning, I wash my face with a gentle glycolic cleanser, apply my moisturer - something by Lancome - and then apply my foundation. Trust me, this stuff is GREAT. One thing though - I would not put this underneath your eyes. I tried this - and my undereye area was seriously parched and dry. Oh, well, you live and learn. I would definitely repurchase and recommend this to anyone!

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Stick
bellarosa 12/28/2008 1:32:00 PM
This is the best lip balm ever! I have used Kiehl's, which is great, but its so greasy and I think overated. I also found another use for this product - I use it at night as an undereye cream! I had tried all these different undereye creams and nothing could soothe the dry lines underneath my eyes. Just by chance, I figured why not try Palmer's Cocoa Butter Stick, and lo and behold, this product got rid of my dry lines. I would definitely repurchase!

Toners -Skinceuticals - Equalizing Toner
bellarosa 1/5/2007 10:38:00 PM
Great toner! I've been searching for a toner that would minimize my pores, but not dry out my skin and I've found it! I don't use the spray. Instead, I just put some of the toner on a cotton ball. I also think that this toner helps to balance my oily/combo skin so that my makeup looks really natural and youthful - not bad for a 40 yr old!

Moisturizers -Ponds - Smooth Perfection Complexion [DISCONTINUED]

I really liked this moisturizer. It made my skin very smooth and was a good base for my foundation. I have been using this for over 2 months and would definitely repurchase. It doesn't have SPF, but my foundation does.

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color
bellarosa 4/2/2006 12:40:00 PM
My hair: Dark brown, fine, curly, dry ends. I tried Garnier #53 in Chestnut and I really liked it! My hair color came out to a warm, medium brown. The conditioner was great! I did spray my ends with a leave in conditioner first - it says in the instructions to mist with water, but since my ends are extra dry I figured that was fine. Anyway, so far I like the color, the smell wasn't bad at all, and this product left my hair feeling very soft and shiny. By the way, I did think it was a little pricey - regular price was $7.99, but I got a coupon for $2 off.
