Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth - Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash

I think this comes close to my beloved d/c Eucerin Pore Purifying Wash. So glad to have found this! It leaves my skin squeaky clean and bright but still comfortable. Could be my new HG :) Yay!
Cleansers -Boots - expert sensitive gentle cleansing wash

Hmm...well I've used this product for a few days now. I was hoping it might be my new HG cleanser after I ran out of my beloved (and d/c) Eucerin Pore Purifying cleanser. Well, I better think again. This leaves my face very dry and tight right after washing...yet seems to also leave behind a "film" that I can feel. Sadly, the film may be why it seems to cause at least one mildly red bump somewhere on my face every day. The other day it was on my forehead; today it is on my chin. Going to keep using it for a few days just to see if it's just my skin adjusting to the new product. If it seems to work better with my skin after a while I'll revise my rating, but for now I dont think I'd eagerly repurchase. :(
This stuff is way too oily for oily, acne prone skin. It has cholesterol in it for crying out loud! Might be good for normal skin types. Didn't work for me, caused some mild breakouts so back it goes to CVS if they will accept the return. lol
I got this "free" (with purchase) at Sephora.com. It wouldnt fully remove the UD 24/7 eyeliner I was wearing. I saturated a cotton swab with this stuff and kept rubbing it over the eyeliner, but no dice. So basically, it's a fail. I guess an expensive brand-name doesnt guarantee that it will do what it is supposed to.
Eye Shadow -Kat Von D - Rock'n'Roll Palette (Sephora BI Exclusive)

I was pretty disappointed by this palette. The color payoff wasnt great and neither was the texture. For a freebie it's all right but I would have liked something better for 500 pts!
I ordered this after seeing someone else mention getting it and what a good deal it was. I ordered it at 20% off with my VIB discount when it was reg price ($29). I kind of felt like, ok, here goes another stupid impulse buy but boy was I wrong. These shadows are amazingly pigmented and colorful, dont know what I was using before but these really "overshadow" those ones! lol. The texture is nice and smooth, not at all chalky, and it blends nicely. Also there seems to be a lot of shadow in these pans so it should last awhile, and the pretty packaging and embossing make me feel like I'm using something special.
Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aztec - Indian Healing Clay

I've used this for years, I combine it with ACV and use it as a weekly mask. It is a vital part of my skincare routine, it brightens and clears my skin and keeps it from getting too oily and gross. A great cheap basic staple for oily-prone skin.
Very simply, I don't like this product because it totally changes the color of the lipstick that you apply over it and makes it seem a lot lighter than what it is. Might be good for those really dark lipsticks that look a little too dark by themselves, otherwise a waste of money. They should have made it clear and not a pasty flesh tone (duh).
I tried this and I think it does improve hair condition, however in my case the honey has a tendency to make my long hair get sticky and prone to getting tangled, I think I have to alter the formula a bit and use less honey. Also, I am a little paranoid about using olive oil because I have skin which can break out if exposed to the wrong things and I'm afraid to get oil on on or near my face. I didnt have any problems this time, I did try to keep the concoction strictly on my hair and not on my facial skin, but it made me nervous. Maybe next time I'll just use the egg yolk by itself? LOL
I'm surprised at all the negative reviews! I think this mascara is one of the best I've tried recently. It really thickens and darkens my lashes very well and it makes a big difference in how my lashes look. It does have an odor but that dissipates pretty quickly. At this point I would say it is one of my favorites. It does get goopy sometimes but I just stand and store the mascara upright and that seems to drain all the excess product from the wand.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Thermaclear Heat Enabled Acne Treatment
bellabambina 2/11/2009 12:39:00 PM
Well, as usual, YMMV, but I used this product for 60 days and then returned it to Sephora. I found it not to be helpful for me whatsoever. In fact I think in my case the heat was slightly aggravating to my skin and may outweigh any bacteria killing that it does.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Luxe Black Cabernet
bellabambina 1/27/2009 12:25:00 AM
I was kind of disappointed with this. I have dark lashes and I could not tell I was wearing a colored mascara. Well, OK, if I stand right next to a light bulb then I can sort of see shimmery particles on my lashes...but in normal lighting, it is really hard to notice anything special. I have worn other colored mascaras and they weren't quite as subdued. This might as well be a brown mascara as far as I am concerned. I also find it to be somewhat irritating to my eyes. Maybe it is the shimmery stuff? The regular lash blast doesn't bother me. Not really worth purchasing, for me anyway.
Mascara -Vincent Longo - Vincent Longo waterproof mascara
bellabambina 1/27/2009 12:21:00 AM
A pretty average/below average mascara. I have it in Moro and Verde (Brown and Green). It doesn't really thicken or lengthen nearly as well as the other mascaras I own. It is just kind of blah. The green color one is a very vibrant color, but I wish it were in a better formula. I wouldn't bother with this one.
I want to add to the raves for this lipstick. It is perfect in every way and hasn't let me down, ever. It goes on smooth, no annoying balling up or caking. It is the perfect amount of coverage (for me, anyway). The color stays true and lasts a long time. Best of all there is no off-putting scent. It's the best!
I just received this in "Legend" which looks like a really nice pastel green (more bluish than yellow) in the pot. It was on clearance at Sephora so I thought why not, as the color seemed nice. But I was really disappointed. When I put this on it looked like a very pale application of chalk dust on my lids. Hardly any (if any) color payoff. :( Not sure what the point of this product is, you can get the same with a much cheaper eyeshadow.
