Hair -L'Oreal - Elnett Hairspray
beevanilla 4/15/2013 1:51:00 AM
I heard so much hype about this product that I actually fell for it and bought it. IT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. This does not hold anything at all. Especially with the kind of hair I have. My curls doesn't stay at all. I ended up just using it as a pre-hairspray before I curl my hair and then top it off with another hairspray which holds my curls a lot longer. No bueno! Not worth it at all and I'm am SO. NOT. GOING. TO. REPURCHASE.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Invigorating Apricot Scrub

I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS PRODUCT! This is my HG when it comes to getting rid of my breakouts! I've tried everything out there that is considered for getting rid of breakouts but none of them worked as well as this one! I use the one with the Salicylic Acid and rub it on my face twice a day (every morning and before I go to bed) for a minute and it keeps my breakouts at bay. It is very invigorating albeit sometimes it kinda hurts because the beads are so huge but that's something I can definitely work with seeing as it gave me the results I wanted. It also smells so good. I use Noxema at night to take off my make up and then follow it up with this, then I use this product called Eskinol that I got back home and lastly put on my Olay moisturizer. Perfect recipe for keeping breakouts at bay!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - inked in Pink Color Tattoo
beevanilla 4/15/2013 1:38:00 AM
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT SO MUCH! I love the quality and the colour of it - although I'm not really a big fan of shimmers - I think this is the perfect pink to use, especially when it comes to brightening up your eyes. I usually put this on my lid, then blend it out with a brown eyeshadow on my crease. And the thing is, it might be on the more expensive side of drugstore products but it is definitely worth buying because it lasts for a very very long time. A little goes a long way with this one!

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product! I use it as my brow liner. It has the right density... not too thick, not too thin. I also love the fact that it's so cheap and there is no hair fall outs at all :) The fact that it's all plant-based, meaning no animal hair, is just a bonus! Love it!

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow

My first colour tattoo was Bad To The Bronze. It wasn't bad quality-wise but I didn't really like how the colour looked on my skin. As a result, I barely use it. Then I came across another one which is Inked In Pink and I fell in love with it! It's the perfect colour to wear for an everyday look as it brightens up your eyes. I usually use this for my lids then blend it out with a brown eyeshadow on my crease. As far as quality goes, I haven't really had the chance to try it without a primer because I'm so used to using primer on my lid first before anything but as far as I can tell this thing lasts for hours on end. I'm not a fan of shimmers though so I didn't really like how they don't have anything that's completely shimmer-free/matte. However, if they had a collection of matte colour tattoos, I will surely buy more of these bad boys.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Expert Face Brush
beevanilla 4/15/2013 1:18:00 AM
When I first got this product, I wasn't too excited to use it. I didn't like the packaging of it since it looked cheap. I immediately thought the hype was wrong. However, I still gave it a shot and absolutely fell in love with it! I love how it's the perfect brush to use for liquid foundation. The round shape and density of this brush makes it so easy to blend my foundation into my skin. I also like how it's so lightweight despite the brush looking cheap. I think the best part for me is that there are no hair fall outs at all! I am completely in love with this brush! It is definitely better than any brush or beauty blender I've used.

Eyeliner -NYX - Eyeliner pencil in White
beevanilla 4/15/2013 12:53:00 AM
This eye pencil does not stay on your eyes AT ALL. You get no pigmentation or colour pay-off at all. It was a waste for me, but I did put it to good use by using it as an outline pencil for my eyebrows when I pluck it. Hence, the two lippies. It's not completely useless, it still has some purpose after all lol

Cleansers -St. Ives - green tea scrub
beevanilla 4/15/2013 12:48:00 AM
This product worked okay for me at first. It got rid of my breakouts but it didn't really keep up the good work for too long and eventually my breakouts came back and its magic stopped working. I ended up using it for a month or so then switched to St. Ives' Apricot Scrub which I absolutely love.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup

I love how this product does a full-coverage and sets matte on my face. However, I don't like how the formulation is SO heavy! It cakes up a little bit, but it isn't that bad. It sucks that they don't have the shade that I use here in Canada (Golden Beige) - the only reason why I got my hands on it was because my sister bought it for me when she went to NY with my mom for a vacation. In order for me to attain my perfect shade here in Canada, I have to mix two colours which is just a little bit too tedious for me. I don't have time to mix two different shades of foundations when I have to be out the door by 6 in the morning! Also, this broke me out a lot so I could only use it twice or thrice a week so that it wouldn't be so bad for my face :(

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
beevanilla 4/15/2013 12:01:00 AM
This is a mediocre one for me. Despite all the good hype that it's gotten, I don't think this one does the job for me. Like everyone said, it first started off really "wet"... then the more you use it, it slowly dried down. I find that it separates my lashes wonderfully but it doesn't really volumize like it's name says it would do. I hated how this makes my lashes clumpy if I put on too much and it makes my lashes stick together. Also, it doesn't really lengthen so that alone is already a no-no for me. I think the formulation for this mascara is a ittle bit too heavy, which weighs my lashes down. The curl only lasts for like half a day and that's about it. I think I'll give this a couple brownie points though since I have really sensitive eyes and this one doesn't make my eyes irritated or watery... so YAY for that :)

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
beevanilla 4/14/2013 11:53:00 PM
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer or anything or undermine other people's good reviews, but I absolutely hated this primer. I don't understand what the hype is about. First off, it came in a tube... I would have liked it if it came with a doe foot applicator, but it's whatever. The thing that really irritated me is the fact that it's so friggin oily. It seems like I always find the ingredients separating from the oil (that is also one of the ingredients they use). Since it comes in a tube, every time I squeeze it, the actual primer doesn't come out, rather only the oil does. It's so tedious to use this because I find that I always have to "massage" the tube first so that the products can get all mixed up together again before I can actually put it on my lid. The worst part is that it isn't exactly cheap so I feel like it's a complete waste of money. Not only that, but it's so tacky and the colour pay-off is almost close to nothing. I would rather use NYX's primer or Urban Decay's primer. I never should have strayed away from my UD primer to switch it with this one, it wasn't worth it at all!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
beevanilla 4/14/2013 11:46:00 PM
Despite the lack of good reviews, I actually really like this product. I've tried a whole bunch of other mascaras including L'Oreal's Voluminous and Telescopic, NYX's Doll Eye and Benefit's They're Real... out of all of them, this is my favourite one. It gives you the right amount of volume, so long as you know how to properly do it. It also lengthens and it keeps the curl for a long time. It also doesn't irritate my eye like the Telescopic does, which is such a neausance.

Lipstick -MAC - Candy Yum-Yum
beevanilla 4/14/2013 11:36:00 PM
I am pretty much obsessed with this product. I really love how bright and pink it is. I honestly think this is the perfect Spring lipstick albeit being a little bit obnoxious at times... YA JUST GOTTA LEARN TO ROCK IT, GURL. When I first tried this on I didn't have any make-up on at all and I was utterly against it. I didn't like the way it looked on my skin at all. I came back a month later, and tried it on with minimal make-up and I adored it. I guess I just didn't appreciate it as much because I wasn't all made up. But I digress, apart from me being completely in love with this lipstick, there are some things that are quite undesirable about this thing of beauty: I highly dislike matte lipstick and this lipstick and matte beyond belief - meaning, it sets into your lips' line... especially if you don't use a lip balm beforehand. Other than that, I have no issues with anything else, really. I'm pretty much satisfied with everything else especially the price.. It's not exactly cheap, but it's worth the price.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Milk
beevanilla 4/14/2013 11:19:00 PM
I absolutely love this product! It's the perfect product to use if you want a clean "slate" when it comes to really colourful and pigmented eye shadows. This white jumbo pencil is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. It helps mute out your lids' natural colour and helps show the true colour of the eyeshadow of your preference. It does its job wonderfully and I don't think I can ever go without it whenever I want a more vibrant look. However, it is a little bit sticky when you first put it on so I always wait for it to dry a little bit before proceeding with the actual eyeshadow. I also don't think it will serve well as a primer so I always use an actual primer or NYX's Skin Tone Base before using this pencil. The best thing the price isn't that bad and it lasts you for a really long time.

Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Reserve Your Cabana
beevanilla 3/22/2013 3:11:00 PM
I am absolutely smitten with this highlight! It just gives you that "glow" you need on your face. I love using it on my nose after countouring it and at the top of my lips. It blends in nicely. However, I don't necessarily like the packaging of this product.. it's really big and bulky. It's not something you can take with you anywhere. Also, the product itself tends to be a little bit on the powdery side, therefore you might need to tap it off more times than needed to get the amount you want. Because the product itself is on the powdery side (like most of Wet 'n' Wild products) be careful with it and make sure that you don't drop it or bang it too hard as it WILL break. But, that's a little price to pay for with such a great product like this. Nothing beats the price too - $5!
