I was out shopping with 2 (gay) guys for Mother's Day gifts. We wandered into a little gift boutique and I started smelling soaps and lotions out of boredom. I picked this one up and smelled it and thought 'how refreshing!' I rolled the tester onto my arm and walked on, sniffing my arm. I walked over to one of my friends and he said 'omg! what is that smell? it's so pretty!' then my other friend walked over a few minutes later and picked up a soap near me and said 'what is that smell? i love it!' and kept smelling soaps thinking it was one of them. I wasn't convinced I should buy another fragrance...so my friend bought it for me to make sure I kept wearing it. Both guys kept remarking on it over lunch. So I'm happy enough with it. But then I go home and my H gives me a hug and kiss and says...'you smell good!'. lol. All around hit! I wear it almost every day now and get comments on it. No cons, only pros! And an aside, the rollerball doesn't drip, leak or let the fragrance evaporate at an alarmng speed like a few others I have bought.

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color

the number one best thing i can say about this product is that it totally covered my grays...which no other color has been able to do. BUT it left my hair very damaged feeling and way darker than the box claimed it would. i used black cherry. the pic on the box is definately cherry, but my hair, unless i am under a light, looks super dark purple. and it smells, 3 days later.

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - O-GLOSS

i bought this as part of the smashbox o-glow o-gloss set. i have to say...i am a bit disappointed it isn't brighter. i have horribly pale lips and this just makes them pale pink. i had hoped for a brighter long lasting pink...because the tube is bright pink. that's not the best reasoning for what i expected, i know. in its defense, my lips look naturally pink, and if it last all day, i could see myself using this often. it doesn't have a glossy look or feel. the texture is like rosebud salve and doesn't look glossy. so calling it gloss is false advertising. but i hate glossy for day. so i am not complaining. the kit was 40 bucks which i think is hella expensive. and i feel dumb for falling for the hype and breaking my no buy to get this, but i do like it and maybe it will solve my 'i need to look natural at work' dilemma. then it would be worth it. i'm pale freckly and cool and this turns a good color on me.

Blush -Smashbox - O-Glow

i am REALLY surprised by the reviews. sure, this goes on looking kinda scary...FOR ABOUT 4 SECONDS. then it almost disappears to a really natural wind kissed look. it's so natural, i can honestly say people would think i wasn't wearing blush. i'm kinda a blush whore, so this could be a good thing. i applied it twice to see if i could up the neon factor, but no. always natural. it is pricy tho. that sucks. but it's pretty, so they cancel each other out. i'm pale, freckly and cool and i love this.

i bought this in beaming. i have pale cool skin that tends to be very pink...so pink blush is the only color that really looks ok on me. and usually i buy brighter colors than this...to make a pop against my freckles and pink skin. this appears very pale pink in the pot, but i bought it because of all the good mua reviews.
this blush is subtle, and sheer and beautiful and noticeable all at once. i also bought the bloom color, which appears peachy/pink on me, and is still very pretty, but not as wonderful. i feel like it didn't blend as well.
i would buy this again, and i wish there was a corally color. i am very surprised by this blush. it was so pretty i went back to the mirror to look at it several times. :)

Hair -L'Oreal - Excellence Creme Haircolor

i have dark ash brown hair, and i have white white white hairs scattered throughout. not too many, but they glow in my dark hair...so i need to lighten my haircolor to hide them since they do not take dye. i use this haircolor in medium ash blonde, and i never regret it. however, it does not color my white hairs, but hides them well enough that they aren't noticeable unless you search for them. recently, while hilighting my hair (l'oreal hi-lites toasted almond), my hilights turned out WAY too sunny. people kept referring to it as 'sunkissed' which is not exactly the look i was going for. i went and bought another box of the medium ash blond and colored my hair and hoped for the best. turned out perfect. did not grab my hilights, the ends are not too dark. i am very pleased. since i go from such a dark color to a light color, i am always a bit afraid this will be the time my roots turn out orange, but it never happens. just even medium ash blonde everytime. for the record, my hair turns out darker than medium ash blond since it is so dark naturally. somewhere around a very light brown ash color. will repurchase definately!

i have this in the lightest color, the opal-ee not bronze one.
this is a good illuminator for pale skin. there is a slight amount of micro fine glitter shimmer to it, which i usually do not like, but it doesn't show on the face with this product.
the color once smoothed on is a luminous pink with a hint of coral if you look at it on your hand in direct sunlight, on your face you get a bit of a pretty flushed look that simmers down after about five minutes. it dries dry to the touch. under m/u this makes you look very pretty and fresh faced. like you get all your fruit serving a day. i did notice my blush goes on brighter when i wear this, so watch out for that.
my skin always looks pretty when i use this. more so than a few other illuminators i have. if you have ever used the revlon skinlights moistuizer, it gives a similar look to that product, but less peach and more pink.
i believe i paid 3.99 for this and i would repurchase it if it ever ran out. you get alot of product for the price. i've had this 2 years (!) and it's almost empty now.

what i hoped it would do: preform at least as well as my smashbox primer and give me a luminous finish...since it is called luminizing.
how it went on: felt like any other primer except a smidge oilier. did not dry matte feeling, but did not dry oily either.
what it looks like: it is a pale opal color to begin with. it looks less opal on my finger and more just pale with a slight shimmer, but not the alarming kind of glitter shimmer. and the shimmer is 100% not noticeable on my skin. it dried and made my skin slightly paler, as if i had see through makeup on. the product claims you could just wear this alone with no foundation. i have pores, so this will not be happening for me.
how it wears, how it helps m/u application: this looks ok. whitens my skin a bit, which maybe is the luminizing property? to be honest, this is less luminizing that my wet and wild mega pump st tropez shimmer (which is awsome btw), but my skin does look pretty. until i start to apply my m/u. i am expecting a better application and pore coverage than just unprimed skin. my m/u went on exactly the same. maybe i had to use a littel less, but it went on just the same. i also use a gel blush, and the gel blush set IMMEDIATELY and left lines on my cheeks. this has to be from the primer. this never happens to me any other time.
overall: ok. my skin looks pretty. not horribly more luminous, but a smidge more than had i not used it. and i had to add moisterizer to my cheeks to kill the blush lines. i spent 9.99. i feel cheated and i would not repurchase this.

i have this in a mini. i have to say, the minis sucks. too small and the brush is worthless.
the color is very close to a bbq sauce, dark and rich, but i find it not shiny. i have to top coat it every day. it also is a bit too purple for me.
cool, fair skin.

i really love this color. as my h puts it, it is different enough to be interesting, but not 'out there' like wearing black. not that i mind being 'out there'...but you get the drift.
i have cool coloring and this looks nice and wears really well.

this goes on clear, after a few minutes loses it's greasy look, and settles down to a nice lip balm look.
it also seems to last forever. and it tastes delicious.
AND YOUR HAIR WILL NOT STICK TO THIS.

first, this says it will cover your grays as long as you aren't over 50% gray.
it did not.
i have sparkling white hairs mixed in with my (fake) dark ash blond highlights and you can fully see them. not as bad as before. but they are there, and i'm sure after i shampoo they will be bright again
the upside is it did tone down the blond brassiness, but it isn't ASH like it claims it will be after you color. it just isn't as brassy and fake blond looking. and i have good highlights to begin with, they just get too light from the sun and i have to tone them.
my hair feels soft, but until i put the conditioner in, it did feel quite a bit dry and mangly.
i'm not 100% disappointed, i might buy this again if i can't find toner, but over all my hair just looks a little different and a little darker. which i guess is better than turning out a whole lot worse. but not as good as turning out like the picture on the box that claimed would be my results.

god this smells good. vanilla and coconut and something spicy...like the spiciness you get when you open a new cinnamon orange tea bag. i would eat this if i could. i will definately wear this often.
