Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lemon Juice
beckaaayyy 3/9/2013 12:14:00 PM
I'm not one that can say I get terrible acne. Its maybe a few pimples here and there around "that time of the month". However when I do get them, I get scars that just don't go away. I would also say my skin is pretty uneven. I started using lemon juice on my face after every time I exfoliate (which is about 3-4 times a week). I apply it with a cotton ball allover my face, let it set into my skin for a few minutes, and follow up with my Jason vitamin E oil or straight jojoba oil. I noticed my scars fading after the first time I used it about 6 months ago and my redness is gone. I completely recommend this!

Bronzers -St.Tropez - Self Tan Bronzing Mousse
beckaaayyy 3/9/2013 10:57:00 AM
Best self tanner I've used thus far. This didn't turn me orange! With one coat I got a nice color that I would have liked to be darker. I'm naturally about an NC30 with olive skin. This smells just like the Tresemmé dry shampoos AT FIRST. From the time it dries until you shower it off it smells like absolute self tan. But the shower definitely takes that smell away so no worries. I also made the HORRIBLE mistake of using my bare hands to apply this. They stained and it was awful. Next time I'll be using latex gloves because I refuse to use the mitt that will only soak up a bunch of product. I gave it a 4 on the packaging because part of the pump is kind of cracked in a way that if the bottle is upside down it will leak. Not a big fan of the $40 factor but you get a lot of product and it's great quality in my opinion. Definitely making this a staple for repurchasing.

Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720

I'm not going to say this is a dupe for Benefit Hoola, because it's not. It's better! Swatching the two, this has a tad more of a pink undertone, and in my experience, when used with a brush, this is more pigmented. Not to mention the fact that it was $2.39 at target.. that's amazing! I also love that it's one of the very few drugstore bronzers WITHOUT glitter!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara
beckaaayyy 12/30/2012 9:16:00 PM
I've been waiting to get this for the longest time and I'm so glad I finally got it!! This by itself is great. It holds a curl, doesn't flake, smudge, or clump (it better not clump). I wear one coat of this over the top of two coats of the L'Oreal voluminous false Fiber Lashes in the waterproof version. This is my everyday lash routine and I'm loving it!

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes~Waterproof
beckaaayyy 12/30/2012 9:05:00 PM
I was kind of surprised with this. Usually L'Oreal mascaras are really wet and they weigh my lashes down, and I therefore can't stand them. Not this though. It holds a curl in my stick straight lashes really well, isn't wet, and doesn't flake or smudge. Now, no mascara is going to give me the falsies look, but two coats of this stuff and sweeping a clean mascara wand through my lashes afterward makes them look amazing. However, the way I've discovered to wear it is better. I put on two coats letting them dry in between, separate them with a clean wand, put on one coat of the Cover Girl clump crusher and then separate again with the clean wand. They look phenomenal! I don't know if the "False fibers" are really doing anything, but there definitely is volume and length going on. The waterproof aspect also does not disappoint.

Eyeliner -Milani - Eye Tech Extreme
beckaaayyy 11/16/2012 1:12:00 AM
I have found my HG liquid eyeliner. It's amazing! It's opaque, super black, stays put, doesn't streak, and DRIES MATTE. I love that it isn't shiny like every other liquid eyeliner that ever existed!! Definitely a must have! I'm just waiting for it to dry out super fast now because everything else about it is fantastic. I've only had it for a week, so I'll come back and edit this when it does end up drying out. By the way, I bought this at CVS for $8.. not too bad. UPDATE: This liner was bought November 16, 2012 and it's just now drying up this week of February 3, 2013 with everyday use.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One
beckaaayyy 11/16/2012 1:00:00 AM
This is a passable mascara. It holds curl, gives volume and some length, and is very black. On the other hand, it flakes like crazy. That's really its only flaw. The waterproof version is much better and I would definitely recommend it.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Volume
beckaaayyy 11/16/2012 12:56:00 AM
I'm so late for the lash blast volume train. It's embarrassing. Anyway, I finally got it because I was originally going to get the clump crusher mascara in the green tube, but CVS didn't have it yet. I really like this stuff! Not as much as I thought, but it's pretty decent. I love that it's kind of a drier formula because I can't stand wet mascaras that weigh down my lashes. I'd say it gives good volume and enhances length, however I'm not thrilled that it doesn't hold curl as much as I'd like it too. I can get over it though because it doesn't flake, smudge, or get too clumpy. I can even get away with 4 coats letting them dry completely in between.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Nail Art Pen
beckaaayyy 11/16/2012 12:31:00 AM
I bought these in black and white with high expectations considering they were about $10 each, and boy was I disappointed. Keep in mind that these are water based; i didn't know that at the time of purchase. They go on pretty smooth, but as soon as you put a top coat on it smears the living daylights out of the design, making all of your detailed work totally pointless. To add to that, the white has to be gone over a few times because it does't come out opaque. I definitely WAS NOT impressed with these.

Deodorants -Secret - Clinical Strength
beckaaayyy 11/5/2012 11:55:00 PM
I'm not really sure what to say about this. I've been looking at reviews for all the clinical strength deodorants and was originally going to get the Degree one, but CVS didn't have it so I got this instead in the light and fresh scent. I feel like a sweat more than the average person, but it's more of an inconvenience than a problem. So, I followed the directions to put it on before bed, yada yada yada.. and it worked really well the next day. However, that's the only time that it really worked for perspiration, after that it just started to work like regular deodorant, if not worse. I mean, it smells fantastic and reminds me of the febreeze odor effects scent, but I found that over the course of about a week, I started to develop b.o... I don't get b.o. EVER. Just sweat. It seemed like my body became immune to the chemical that's supposed to make you stop sweating, and even made me sweat MORE. On top of all that, it was like $12 and the container starts out half full when you get it, therefore ripping us off! I guess you could say I expected more from this product...

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
beckaaayyy 11/5/2012 11:37:00 PM
The only significant things I noticed about this primer are that it keeps whatever foundation you're wearing on your face all day, and it's SOOO SMOOTH. Pore wise, nothing. Now, I don't have freakish pores, but if you're trying to look at them, you can see them. This didn't do anything in that department, therefore you're looking at a 3 lippie rating. Plus, it's a good thing I only got a sample of this because it's $30. No thanks!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal
beckaaayyy 9/22/2012 6:56:00 PM
My lashes are at a normal length, however they're thin and stick straight (no, I don't have Asian lashes), so as you can imagine I have to curl the heck out of them. I wasn't impressed with this mascara. It's very wet (which I hate), therefore weighing down my lashes and not holding any curl. I didn't really notice any significant volume and it almost gave me that "5 eyelash" effect. The only good thing about this was that it didn't flake. You might be wondering why I gave it a 3 even though I don't like it. I feel like if you're one of those people that I hate who has naturally curled, thick lashes, it would probably work for you.

Palettes -E.L.F. - Elements 4-pan Compact
beckaaayyy 9/22/2012 6:33:00 PM
So, in the beginning I bought this so I could use it as a cheaper Z-Palette. I bought this thinking it would be magnetic because it claims to be magnetic on the packaging. IT'S NOT. It's just a compact with a mirror and a metal sheet under the plastic spaces for the elf eyeshadows. I took out the plastic spaces to put whatever shadows I wanted in it and the metal sheet just fell out. So I guess I would just have to glue the eyeshadow in there and make a permanent palette. The only reasons I didn't give it a one is because of the mirror and the fact that it was only $1.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
beckaaayyy 9/17/2012 10:06:00 PM
This stuff is by far the best concealer I've ever gotten my hands on. It even blows Benefit's Boiiing and Erase Paste out of the water. I bought this in the brightener shade and in medium. I use the brightener to cancel out the blue/ yellow/ green/ purple shade under my eyes and then I put the medium shade over it. It has completely won me over because it's not heavy or cakey AT ALL, but at the same time, it's opaque like nobody's business. I'm not crazy about the fact that it's $9.. but it's definitely worth it. I also took a lippie off of the packaging quality because I'm not really a fan of the weird little sponge applicator... seems unnecessary and not very hygienic.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
beckaaayyy 9/17/2012 9:51:00 PM
Seriously? I don't see what all the hype for this product is about. I was really disappointed. It's watery, streaky, and it only lasts a little longer than the Maybelline Line Stiletto. However, pigment/ opacity wise, the line stiletto is just better than this stuff. As for the whole "carbon black" concept, it goes on black and dries a chalky grey. I'm not impressed with this. Who knows, maybe I got a bad one?
