Honestly this mascara just didn't work for me, so I was surprised it got such high reviews. It kind of reminds me maybelline big lash, very wet, takes forever to build up, and takes a long time to dry. It doesn't create much volume or length.it does not give me raccoon eyes, which is probably it's only pro, but it does clump when you try to build up any volume or length. I think if you just want mascara for a quick swipe of darker color, then it works. But it does not enhance my lashes in any other way. It's very cheap, but I will not by again.
Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment

I am loving this product. So far, I've used it once a week for five weeks. I have oily clog prone skin, so I use the 2% bha, which has helped me a lot. I wasn't sure sure if aha was going to be good for my skin type, but I got this because my skin was looking a little dull. This stuff works magically. I put this on after I wash my face, then put the resist antioxidant serum on. I wake up to glowing smooth skin. I can't explain it, but it provides that extra 'ommph' that I wasn't getting from just using the bha. I only use this once a week, and I don't notice any dryness or sensitivity after using this. It does tingle a bit when you put it on, and I only use a very small amount and pat it on my face. The other days I use the 2% bha and my skin seems to llike both. Paula has really good sales and I got this when it was 40% off, so the price was not too bad. If it truly works and helps my skin, then it is worth it. The bottle is small, but because it's only meant to be used weekly, it will last for a few months.
I have been using this blush for the last few weeks and I like it more and more every day. This is a reddish/mauve color, not very pink, but not super red- mocha! It is pigmented, but i like a lot of color on my cheeks. I use the elf stipple brush to apply this. The elf brush is not very dense, so a light sweep picks up a little amount, and gives me more control on how much blush I use. I usually use a couple sweeps on each cheek, and it gives me the perfect reddish/pink flush. I have light/medium Asian skin, and it suits my coloring very well. Because this is a deeper red color, I think it's better for the colder seasons. In the summer I usually prefer a more pinkish or peachy blush. This blush has great staying power, I can wash my face at 11pm and still have the color on my cheeks. It does not break me out, which is a priority for me. It is also super cheap, I got this from makeupmania for 3.50. Before I purchased this, I loved the wet'n'wild heather berry blush. This blush is very similar, but more red than pink. I will definitely purchase more of La Femme products in the future.
Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - Just a Little Dangerous

This is a beautiful rich, deep, eggplant purple color with a hint of light pink shimmer. You can't really see the pink shimmer unless you put it directly under light. The purple is beautiful and elegant. The formula is very smooth and easy to apply, not streaky at all. Two coats will give you perfect opaque color. It wears pretty well, I can go a few days with no chip. I received this in my Tinseltown collection, so it is one of the smaller bottles. However, the color is so pretty, I will definitely repurchase when I run out.
Moisturizers -Aveeno - Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer

I am surprised that this didn't get higher reviews. I really like this moisturizer. It sinks in very fast, feels very moisturizing, and smells very clean and fresh. It has spf 15 and doesn't leave a white cast on my face. I don't know how much it really 'clears' up your skin, but it certainly doesn't cause any breakouts on me. I have very acne and clog prone skin, so I am always cautious when I try new products. I have been using this for weeks and have not had any breakout issues. I really love how fast it sinks in because I don't have to waste time in the morning, waiting for it to sink in before putting on my makeup. It is very moisturizing, which allows for easy foundation application. I use about one full pump and it is more than enough to cover my whole face and neck. I paid about $14 for this at Target, which is not the cheapest, but because I only use one pump at a time, this bottle will last me for a few months. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a no-fuss day time moisturizer that contains spf.
I love this pink color. It is a bright, but not quite neon Barbie pink with a slight blueish undertone. It's absolutely beautiful and is one of my favorite pinks. The bottle looks nice and elegant. The formula is great, not too thick and not thin and watery, very creamy and easy to apply. The brush is nice and flat, so you can easily just use a couple swipes and it will cover the entire nail. One coat is almost opaque, but I like to use two coats for a richer color. It doesn't take forever to dry either. I was able to get back to typing on a keyboard within 10 minutes. I really love this pink color and it wears pretty well. I usually change my polish once a week, so if it lasts a week, then I'm satisfied. I love the brush, formula, and color, so this is definitely a repurchase if I run out. I've never used Rimmel nail polish before, so I was pleasantly surprised at the great quality.
I have been using this soap for a month on my face. I have acne prone, clog-prone skin that gets pretty oily. I use Paula's choice 2% bha to keep the clogs at bay. I ordered this soap because I heard great things about African black soap. This was very cheap. I ordered a bar from iherb for less than $4. Shipping was very fast. This is a relatively big bar of soap. It as a very nice, fresh, smell. It soaps up pretty nicely. It cleans my face very well, and leaves it feeling very clean and fresh. It does not dry out my face.I don't break out from this, but I don't think it exactly helps improve my skin either. It just leaves my face very well cleaned. Previously, I used PC's hydralight cleanser, which I really liked. However, I am going to continue using this soap because it performs just as well, and costs much less than your typical facewash. I also use this with my Clarisonic at night and it works very well with that as well.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - SalIy Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat

I love this quick dry top coat. Previously, I used Seche vite, but it became very thick and goopy very quickly, and I hated the strong chemical smell. Then I used Revlon's quick dry top coat. It worked well, but took much longer to dry than I thought. Eventually, it also became very goopy. The nail board ladies all seemed to love this top coat, so I picked it up. I am very impressed by this. It advertises as 30 second quick dry, and it really is 30 seconds. I like the big flat brush, because one swipe and it can cover an entire nail. So far, it hasn't become goopy yet, so we shall see. This really dries the nail fast, creates a nice shine, and doesn't have the strong smell that SV has. It was also very cheap, so I will definitely be repurchasing this again.
Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Travel Essentials set

I hate to bring down the ratings, but this brush kit is just so-so for me. The quality is very good, however, I just don't have as much uses for the brushes as I thought I would. The dome shaped eyeshadow brush is very soft, so it doesn't pick up product very well. It is better used for blending eyeshadow. The foundation brush is fairly small for my liking, so I don't really use it at all. The big complexion brush is the one I use the most. it is good for blush and even liquid foundation. i really like the travel pouch that comes with it, sleek, takes up little space, and very useful. I think i should've maybe just purchased an individual big complexion brush, instead of paying for the whole set. The price is very cheap, and you do get a good deal. However, the brushes are just not as versatile as I hoped. I do think they look very pretty and the quality of the hairs are good, and the handles are nice and long.
Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew
bebe7 1/8/2013 6:20:00 PM
It's not the MOST moisturizing lip balm, but it does its job. However, I will always buy this because I LOVE the packaging. It's cute and it's pretty big, which I love because I will never lose this. I always keep a chapstick in every purse, and somehow, they always get misplaced. But this is so cute and round and pretty big, so I never lose this. The honeymelon smell is nice, but not overpowering. it glides on easily and is just simply adorable to use. Every time I pull this out of my bag, someone will comment on how cute it is. For a chapstick, it is a big pricey, I think paid $4-5 for this at Target. But it lasts longer than your average chapstick.
This is a very nice body scrub. I usually just use a loofah in the shower, but I wanted something a bit more. I use this once a week as a treat to myself. Like others have described, it is a nice, thick consistency that spreads easily. It is filled with little scrubbies, but it doesn't feel abrasive against the skin. It smells very sugary and sweet, which I love. It leaves a nice, slightly oily, touch on the skin. I still put on lotion afterwards, but you really don't need to because of the oil base. I got a big jar for about $10. Overall, I give the scrub a 5 because it smells great, scrubs very well, and leaves you skin feeling incredibly soft and moisturized. I feel like I just got back from a massage. I give the packaging a 3 because I would like it better if it came in a squeeze bottle, so you don't have to dip your hands in and scoop up the product from the jar. However, it's not a big deal, and doesn't affect the product's performance. I haven't tried any other scrubs from this brand, but I like this so much I don't think I need to.
After reading through every one of these reviews, I decided to go and purchase this product. I ordered a 3 oz from Makeupmania.com. Very cheap and only $2.99 shipping. The bottle is bulky, but I don't mind it. It has a sifter top. What I do is turn the bottle up side down with the cap still on, so when I open it, there's some powder on top of the sifter, I then use my big elf complexion brush, and lightly sweep up the powder and dust it on my face. I use very little- a couple sweeps on my Tzone, and one sweep on each cheek and chin. The effect is subtle, yet amazing. I previously use elf's HD powder, which I still love. This has the same effect as the HD powder, but also provides a nice glow on my face. It gives my complexion a lovely 'soft focus' look. My pores are barely noticeable and my skin is just glowing. I have oily, acne prone skin that is very prone to clogged pores. I keep my skin fairly clear with 2% Bha, but I still need a light layer of foundation to smooth out my skin tone. This powder oomphs up my complexion by giving it a great glow. It also really helps control my oilies. It is extremely light and fine, I don't feel anything on my face at all. Also, I should mention that I am Asian and have a pretty light skin tone that is yellow based, so I do not notice anything with this powder leaving any yellow cast on my face. It is so fine though so I think it should be suitable for all skin colors. I wear this all day from 7am-11pm with no issues at all. It helps my make up stay put all day, and by 11pm, I look like I still have freshly applied makeup on. I am so happy I read the reviews and got this, I'd recommend it for anyone!
This is a beautiful deep, dark red with a slight shimmer, metallic sheen to it. It is beautiful and perfect for the holidays. The application is smooth and easy. Two coats is perfect for a nice, dark, opaque coat. The red has a little bit of wine/burgundy mixed inside. It is the perfect color for a Christmas mani. I really love this and will definitely always have it in my stash.
This is a nice polish for layering. It is a sheer glitter polish with gold and green glitter. I like that the flakes are not too big, so you can layer it over another color and still see the original polish underneath. It looks great over any dark or light cream polish. I especially like wearing it over the winter holidays, either over black or cream. It makes a great Christmas mani. The formula is nice and goes on smoothly, 1-2 coats will do.
This came in the Sephora by OPI Tinseltown collection. I love the formula and application. It is very smooth, and one coat is already pretty opaque. Two coats is perfect. It is a nice, dark, charcoal color. It looks great on it's own, or with glitter over it. I'm currently wearing it with Meet me at the Disco, and it is a great holiday look.
