Eye Shadow -MAC - Twinks
beautiful84 12/10/2011 8:37:00 PM
So disappointed - Did I get a dud eyeshadow because the reviews here are nothing as to what I have experienced. I found even a simple swipe with my finger across the eyeshadow it didn't really pick up as much product (especially seeing as it's a veluxe pearl). In store it was good, but when I took my product home it just felt hard? Not sure, but I'm sad because I really wanted to like this colour. I bought Sable the following week which was so soft and beautiful. In Australia we don't have good return policies so now I'm left with a MAC eyeshadow which is totally unusable, sad :(

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - retractable kabuki
beautiful84 10/3/2011 2:13:00 AM
I use this to buff my powder in after moisturizing my face (I'm not a liquid foundation type of girl). This brush is amazing! Mine did fall apart but after supergluing back together and I don't use it as a retractable brush (I just leave it out now and sits on my vanity)... It's perfect now and I've washed it twice. Highly recommend, just make sure you have superglue nearby because it's very likely the brush will fall apart.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Gingerly
beautiful84 7/29/2011 2:37:00 AM
NC40 Best blush ever. If you are after something natural, matte with noticable colour - this is the shade for you. The MAC sales girl recommended this to me before I read the reviews here. I'm so happy there are other NC40s that enjoy this! This is definitely my go-to blush. Easy to apply when you don't have time in the morning but definitely buildable if you wanted something more dramatic (and when you have more time to blend). Love this so much. Thank you MAC for this perfect shade!

Polishes -Maybelline - Express Finish - Iced Mauve #250
beautiful84 2/25/2011 3:07:00 AM
Just picked this up on sale on a whim. I LOVE IT! It's the perfect nude shade for me. I'm on the darker shade of Asian with yellow undertones and this colour is perfect for my skin. It's so simple and understated, I love it. It might be discontinued in AUS though so I might have to do a search around and stock up on this nail polish, I can see it being my 'go to' shade.

Moisturizers -Nivea - Oil Free Moisturizing Fluid
beautiful84 2/23/2011 11:59:00 PM
I love this product! I have combination skin and i have accepted that my forehead and nose will always produce oil with/without moisturiser. However I found this product to be the one that makes my skin produce the least amount of oil. It definitely does not clog pores, it absorbs very easily and a great make up base. Unfortunately it doesn't have SPF, but anything that usually does leaves my face so greasy! So I'll keep using this one for now. It might be too light for winter though. Overall I will keep repurchasing.

Cleansers -Garnier - Clean Detox Anti-Dullness Foaming Gel
beautiful84 1/8/2011 8:53:00 PM
A great all-round cleanser for combination skin. I'm on my 2nd bottle after trying other brands but I keep coming back to this one. It removes make-up pretty well but when I have heavier eye-make up on I generally follow up with an eye-make up remover. However, overall this hasn't given me any breakouts or reactions and leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed. Definitely recommend this as good basic cleanser.

Hair Styling Tools -GHD - IV Styler (all sizes)
beautiful84 1/8/2011 8:45:00 PM
Use this to curl my very straight Asian hair. Don't need to go into too much detail as this is a product I'll love and all my friends love it too. Heats up quickly (180 degrees I think the newer models go upto - which is better IMO), nice and sleek although I've loving the new colours that are out... and perfect for curling. So quick and easy to use. Everyone, if you are unsure what to get just go the safe option and get the GHD.

Conditioner -Kerastase - Volumactive
beautiful84 1/8/2011 8:35:00 PM
Please don't bother with this product. I actually love the shampoo but the condition is the biggest disappointment and waste of money! I don't understand why Kerastase would 1. Supply less conditioner than the shampoo 2. Provide an annoying tub which makes it difficult to get the conditioner 3. Use useless ingredients. This did NOTHING for my hair, maybe it's better as a conditioner for the roots but definitely not for the ends. It feels abit like clay and not smooth to distribute throughout the hair. I feel like i need heaps of it to make sure I have actually 'conditioned' my hair. So I'm sure I'll run out of this way before the shampoo - which is fine, I won't repurchase this conditioner as I found something from L'oreal that I can use instead. Big disappointment and waste of money. Don't be sucked it by the nice packaging.

Treatments -L'Oreal - Elvive Re-Nutrition Replenishing Masque (with Royal Jelly)
beautiful84 1/8/2011 8:29:00 PM
I love this conditioner. I purchased the Kerastase Volumactive range and the conditioner is absolute rubbish. So I went out to buy a cheaper brand and came across this. I love anything with Royal Jelly as I am also using Nectar Thermique so I try to keep everyone consistant where I can. I actually have very straight/oily at the roots hair. But my hair is so long, so I need something very moisturising on the ends. So this is perfect. I use this only on the mid lengths focusing on the ends. The smell is abit strong but my hair feels so soft after it's been rinsed. I use this every other day. Packaging is abit annoying, I've always preferred tubes. Will definitely repurchase.

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
beautiful84 9/12/2010 2:50:00 AM
Not sure if they have changed the formula for this or maybe I purchased a dud one.... But this leaves my lashes very clumpy and I need to comb it through with a little eyebrow comb after using this mascara. Will try different products but unfortunately I will not repurchase for awhile...Such a shame because I use to love this while I was at uni. Oh well, get to experiment with other mascaras now!

Styling Products -Kerastase - Nectar Thermique
beautiful84 8/9/2010 2:29:00 AM
I have long straight Asian hair... I apply roughly almond size amount and work it thoroughly through my towel dried hair. Works brilliantly. My hairdresser even suggested I could get away with using a cheaper shampoo and conditioner as long as I followed up with the Nectar Thermique! It makes all the difference. I don't blowdry too often and only iron my hair about once every couple of weeks... but this product works great on it's own and gives an amazing shine and softness without weighing it down. When I wake up the next morning my hair seems to look so much better and sits better which helps me save time getting ready! I'm truely addicted to this product. Not fussed on the scent of the product at all, it doesn't even linger in your hair so I am unsure why so many people have complained about it. As for the price, for the amount you get and the actual amount you use, it's so worth it! I know this bottle will last me about a year so I think it all works out - especially when I think about the money I've wasted trialling products and throwing it out when it's barely been used anyway. Recommend everyone to try this!

Shampoo -Kerastase - Specifique Bain Divalent
beautiful84 1/17/2008 5:04:00 PM
Disappointing.. My HD recommended this, I have Asian fine hair that is oily on top. I always wash every 2nd day and my HD thought that by using this I would only need to wash my hair every 3 days. How wrong she was! Hair feels nice the first time washing, but on the 2nd day it feels very limp and lifeless, especially at the top. I tried to leave it for 3 days but ended up using Klorane to stop the oiliness. Definitely felt alot worse than Bain 2 (even that didn't help out). I felt I really need to lather twice for the shampoo to even distribute through my hair. Almost finishing up with this bottle and will not repurchase. Not to sure if it is animal tested which is also starting to deter me from the Kerastase range.

Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Mattifying Moisturizer (Oil Free)
beautiful84 4/22/2006 2:32:00 AM
Not good. Too light as a moisturiser.. so I would really recommend this to someone with very oily skin. Those with Combo skin may want to steer away. It made me break out and the lack of SPF anything is a downer. I guess I was desperate to try the Pureness line and now I've wasted $100 on stuff that my face hates.

Cleansers -Shiseido - Pureness Foaming Cleansing Fluid
beautiful84 4/22/2006 2:28:00 AM
Thumbs down! I cant understand how this product received good reviews. I was so disappointed, especially for the price I paid. This cleanser does feel luxurious on my skin and a nice clean scent - but it ends here. It made my face break out, esp. my forehead and it removes make up so so poorly. Now I'm stuck with an almost full bottle after 1 month of using, and no idea what to do with it. Will not repurchase.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Fresh Quenching Moisturising Fluid
beautiful84 3/3/2006 8:14:00 PM
I don't think it's a good make up base at all. I thought the product was too drying and is not beneficial for my skin in any way. Without the SPF or anything, I generally thought it was a useless product. My best friend carries her bottle around and reapplies during the day. A good moisturizer shouldn't need to be reapplied so often, IMO! Will not repurchase.
