Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 11/17/2012 9:43:00 PM

This is by far the best foundation I have used. my skin is verrrry pale/light. It seems like EVERY foundation (especially those with sunscreen) oxidizes as the day goes on. This foundation does not do that. I blend it with some face serum and liquid highlight (more or less, depending on coverage) as I am about to apply to help make it the appropriate amount of coverage for myself. I got matched to the 110 (yes, lightest, of course) shade at Sephora, and I have repurchased it. After using this, I could not go back to drugstore foundation, the shades were all too dark and I went back to this and love it. Worth the $42 for being blendable, buildable, and having a shade that suits my skin tone. Worth a try, in my book.

Sunscreen -Clinique - Super City Block SPF 40
rated 4 of 5
beachytabbyanne 10/22/2012 10:15:00 PM

This stuff is my go-to primer/moisturizer/everything for everyday because if I want to not wear full makeup, then this acts as a corrector and helps cover as much redness from acne as possible without makeup! I love it. It has a sheer cast of color which isn't noticeable on my palest of pale skin, and it does have that dewey-sunscreen look, which I actually like. I love that I can use one "no makeup" product to help me use less makeup when I wear it, use no makeup and feel comfortable when I don't want to wear makeup, and ALWAYS provides sun protection! Wonderful product. I usually wash my face and apply this and let it set for a few minutes before applying makeup so it can dry, if I have the time.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Darling
rated 3 of 5
beachytabbyanne 8/19/2012 7:55:00 PM

I bought this tonight at Rite Aid. It was $8.99, which is about a dollar more expensive than what you would pay at Walmart or Target, but I'm fine with that because it's much easier to browse all the makeup in a smaller drugstore. Since they call this a balm stain, I was wondering what qualified it as a stain: the lasting power, or the color intensity. Clearly it's not the lasting power. If you're looking for a stain that isn't drying and isn't actually a stain, then this is not it. It has that minty invigorating tingle, which I love. But the color wipes off on a napkin. The color is intense, which is why I think they call it a balm stain: because usually balms are sheer, and this way you get the idea that the color is not sheer. I haven't worn it long enough without eating to know if it would not fade that way, so I can't help on that aspect. However, the color is NOT what I expected. I saw this color used in a magazine makeup look, and it was an electric, shiny purple. It looks more like a pink with a hint of purple, but it's nowhere near the color it looks like in the magazine. When I apply it next time I will conceal my lips first, and see if that helps the color pay off to its true shade.

Polishes -New York Color - Long Wearing Nail Enamel - White Lights Glitter 101A
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 4/9/2012 2:00:00 AM

so first off i got this polish in about summer 08, and i got it to apply over a light pink New York Color polyester cream nail polish (108A, light pink, not super shimmery, when I say that I mean there aren't really any other hues in the nail polish when you look at it in the light). I've had the same bottle of glitter polish ever since i first purchased it, and NYC nail polishes seem to thin out, as opposed to getting gummy, as they age. I love this. Not just for $.99, but the color of the sparkles (it looks like it has flecks of a light greenish-cream color). I put about 2-3 coats on, and wipe the brush on the inside of the bottle until there's a medium layer of polish on one side of the brush, no drips. It works very well and I would/will definitely buy it again when I need to replace it! I like applying it over pinks, and bold colors to add a fun look! I think it's at least worth the dollar it costs to try it.

Top/Base Coats -OPI - Natural Nail Base Coat
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 3/23/2012 10:55:00 PM

This stuff is wonderful to my nails. I got it in 2008 at Ulta with 4 other nail polishes. OPI is a brand of polish that ISN'T going to dry up after 3-4 years. This feels natural, it doesn't smell chemical-y like some base coats that are fast-drying or are more gimmicky in some senses. This is natural and is great if you like to keep a sheer base coat on your nails when you don't have polish on just to protect them so they won't break and will look shiny. The bottle got stuck because of the way the formula dries, the top got stuck and I couldn't get it open even with pliers for like a year and a half...but finally did by sitting the bottle in warm water to loosen up (grandma's idea, and a great one at that). Just make sure you don't drip polish down the outside of the top of the bottle. Great formula, fast drying, natural feeling, and also works for nail polish (though if you're afraid of yellowing you might want to get one specifically for preventing yellowing, or a thicker formula)

Foundations -Cover Girl - Clean Make Up
rated 4 of 5
beachytabbyanne 3/23/2012 10:41:00 PM

Let's get to the point: this product is great. The actual product. Now the packaging...that's another story. I got this foundation for Halloween in the second to lightest shade I believe, I wanted porcelain skin for my costume. However, I didn't pack it with my makeup and wasn't able to use it for the occasion, so I figured I'd just try it for everyday use. It's a wonderful match to my skin tone, I'd say as close to perfect as you can get. If you're on the lighter side of the skin tone spectrum I think you'll be able to find a shade for yourself. Now, the glass bottle: no. The packaging is cute and compact, in that unique Cover Girl shape. But the foundation does not easily come out. I think it's because the glass is so thick that the product has a tough time getting to room temperature, so it just stays colder and harder to come out. Just shake it a lot, or pull some of the product out with a q-tip (though that's kind of a hasty use of q-tips that could probbbbably be put to better use). It's a great coverage that feels absolutely natural and stays on well (that is after using primer, then setting it with a setting mist). I use a stippling brush or a fluffy face brush (one typically used for powder) to apply this. It blends easily! I would recommend this for everyday use. The product itself is great, it's the fact that it's timely to get out.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Dreamy Poppy
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 7/2/2011 11:15:00 PM

I love this nail polish color and the nail polish line in general! Wet'nWild is one of my favorite brands of makeup just because if I want to try a new type of product, I can purchase it for a very inexpensive price and see how I like the feel of the product before I invest more money in it. The nail polishes are amazing! They go on smooth, the colors are shiny and nice, and they're $.99! You can't beat it.

Hair -Redken - Blown Away 09
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 2/26/2011 4:11:00 AM

I have a sample of this product that came with another hair product, and I'm skeptical at trying new things when I blow-dry my hair (what I find the most effective way to style it), for fear of my hair not feeling as smooth as I expect, but I love this stuff! Even though it's a gel, it works like a smoothing serum. I've color-treated my hair a lot and for the past few months I've just been letting it grow out, and I've been trying to get it as healthy as possible, and with the help of products like this, I've succeeded!

This lip liner is easy to go on, easy to use, it's great! It doesn't look fake and it isn't easy to mess up with this. There's not much to say, but it's a great product!

Cleansers -Biore - Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
beachytabbyanne 2/19/2011 1:19:00 AM

I use this as just a basic morning face wash because it mildly cleanses and helps fight acne. It's really good! I like the way it leaves my skin feeling, the smell of it, the feel of it, and how it lathers. It's a great mild acne cleanser!

Eye Makeup Remover -Estee Lauder - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 2/19/2011 1:10:00 AM

I love this stuff! I don't wear a lot of makeup a lot, but when I do, I use this for the eye makeup! It feels clean, it doesn't bother my eyes, it's easy to get out of the bottle, and overall it's just wonderful. If you want waterproof remover, this isn't what you're looking for, but for a basic eye makeup remover, it's wonderful!

Treatments -Clearasil - Vanishing Cream
rated 4 of 5
beachytabbyanne 2/19/2011 1:05:00 AM

I use this at the advice of my nail technician. I had it for awhile, but never really used it. She said to apply it in thin layers at night, and I started doing so and my skin has never been clearer! I updated my skincare regimen, with this included. Just be careful when applying it, I put it on my chest/neck, and it burned my skin. It's made for your face, and not sensitive areas (like around eyes). Also make sure you use a good moisturizer with it, and make sure you use a deep cleanser to clear out the gunk it leaves behind!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - skintelligence facial firming masque
rated 5 of 5
beachytabbyanne 2/19/2011 12:51:00 AM

I actually got this at the nail salon where they also do skincare services, because the lady said it would help with my acne (even though the masque doesn't indicate it is used for that). She said use it every other day at night for about 10 minutes as a mask, then rinse and wash your face as usual. It has helped my skin SO much! My skin overall is better, but the acne is barely there anymore! This is a great mask for anyone.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
rated 3 of 5
beachytabbyanne 6/27/2008 5:44:00 PM

I got this product in a sample size in the Benefit Fast and the Flawless makeup bag kit at Sephora. I thought I'd like it, but it's hard to apply with a nail polish-sized brush. It's too dark for my skin, and when I try to blend it, it just stains into my face like I have some kind of burn or scar on my face. This product is too complicated for me to use, and my skin is very light.
