AWESOMEEEE mask! It is no wonder why there are over 3000 reviews with an average rating of 4.1. Unlike some of the reviewers who was cured of their acne after using this product, I discovered this product after my horrendous skin years ended (wished I found this earlier). I use this once in a while when I'm feeling like my skin could use a spa treatment. Smells great and my skin feels refreshed and rejuvenated. I wish I could take took 1/2 point off for the packaging which can be annoying as water can collect inside the cap. After reading some of the bad reviews of this product, I guess this is not for everybody. I'd say just try it and if you don't like it, well, you didn't spend much on it anyway.
Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - Need a Margarita? Citrus Body Scrub
bathtimefun4all 11/13/2010 2:34:00 PM
I bought this because I tried my friend's Philosophy Senorita Margarita hot scrub and loved it. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it on the market anymore...so I found this.
+2 points for the AMAZING SMELL! One of my favorite drinks are margaritas (regular and blended LOL) so I had to try this. The smell lingers in the bathroom and on your body.
-2 points for the oiliness! Total greaseball for my body! I should have read the ingredients before I bought it and saw that there were oil products in this. Be careful! Your bathtub will become VERY slippery after using this.
-1 point for the exfoliants. The sugar particles were too hard and I think they dissolve after "scrubbing" your body with this product.
Overall, it was fun to try, but I wouldn't buy this again.
I bought this because it was pretty cheap and I wanted to try something new. I actually got the 3 little soaps with the travel case, which is the mild facial soap but in 3 little soaps (hence the name). These little soaps took me a year to finish! I did not like the case that it came in because the soap would not dry after use so I would place it on a soap dish that collected water. The soaps were very mild and cleansed the face...didn't do anything special. After a while, I was just using it just to use it up. Average rating...but if I could, I would give it a 3.5.
Cleansers -Shiseido - Pureness Foaming Cleansing Fluid
bathtimefun4all 11/13/2010 1:46:00 PM
This was my, FAVORITE/HG product for several years. I've probably gone through like 5-6 bottles. The reasons why I stopped using it is because my skin is not as troublesome as it used to be and it is pretty expensive (can't remember how much it used to cost, but it is now $21 for a 5 fl oz). I had a major acne problem as a teenager and this was the first product that really started to clear up my skin. I used it religiously every day in the morning and at night. It made my skin feel very soft and was not over-drying. Smells great, gentle, loves it!
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser
bathtimefun4all 11/13/2010 1:30:00 PM
After having a tragic skin episode(s) using Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash in the '90s, I tried to stay as far away from any of Neutrogena's cleansers as much as possible. Unfortunately I have forgotten to bring my cleanser whenever I stay at my BF's place several times and this was the only thing he had. He said he used this when he had acne issues in high school and loved it (and is the only thing he buys...men...) Anyway, his skin is almost perfect and you can't even tell he had acne as a kid (could also be that he's 24 and not a hormonal teenager)...so I tried the cleanser. I only used a very small amount at first because I was dead scared to use any Neutrogena products after what happened in high school. Anyway, this worked pretty well. I knocked off 2 lipsticks because it can be over-drying sometimes and the smell is not so great. I wouldn't buy this for myself, but I'll use it if it was the only thing available.
Noooo!!! Never again! This was the first product I ever used once I started getting pimples in my teenage years. Not sure if it was puberty or this product, but my skin became waaaay worse. First it dried out my skin. Then my skin tried to compensate for the oil loss by producing too much oil! Ugh! I broke out like crazy but continued to use it because I was broke and just did not know about better products in the market. Anyway, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control
bathtimefun4all 11/10/2010 9:20:00 PM
This scrub smells SOOOOO good! I couldn't stop smelling it even when I wasn't using it! I bought this on a limb after I ran out of cleanser. Pros -Scrubs skin VERY smooth! I have somewhat bumpy skin, but this thing really evens everything out. Couldn't stop touching my face. -the SMELL!! Cons -The exfoliants are a bit rough (would not recommend this for people with sensitive skin) -Doesn't really do anything dramatic for blemishes and blackheads (which is a problem if that is what the product advertises)
Let me tell you...this foot cream is AWESOME! This came as part of a gift set that my college dormmate bought me. For some strange reason, I got VERY, VERY DRY, CRACKED skin on the bottoms of my feet while living in the dorms. I think it might have been the nasty Davis water + wearing flip flops in the shower to avoid getting fungus feet. My feet were so dry, hard, and bloody that it hurt to walk. This wondrous foot cream cured ALL of that. I used it right before I went to bed and within a few days, my feet were starting to heal and feeling extra soft. Total lifesaver for my feet!!!
My friend got this for me as part of a Christmas present. This is not something that I would have bought for myself because body butters always seem to be too thick for my preference. However, it got rid of all the dry, patchy areas on my legs and feet (despite it being very, very rich and thick). It is something that I mainly use during the winter season. The mango mandarin smell is too strong and fruity for me...so if I were to buy a body butter, I wouldn't have picked this scent.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm
bathtimefun4all 11/10/2010 7:50:00 PM
This lip balm smells so good and comes in a cute little tin can. It is very moisturizing and will last a LONG time. It is very durable, too! I accidentally left it in my pocket and threw it in the washer with the rest of my laundry. I thought my cute little lip balm was a goner, but it was still good as new (well, maybe not new, but still in very good condition). I'll probably buy this again.
I bought this shortly after breaking my cheap drugstore eyelash curler and reading all the great reviews. I LIKE this eyelash curler, but I DON'T LOVE it. I don't really notice a difference after using this one and my cheap Revlon one (which I've had for many years before I killed it). I feel that the lashes don't hold up for very long even after using mascara (I have really short Asian lashes). This curler is pretty good quality so hopefully I won't break it and have to buy a new one.
I bought this because several of my friends swear by it. Honestly, I don't really see what the hype is all about. I don't notice a difference after putting this on. I just feel like I'm putting more unnecessary powder on my face. The only thing that I like about it is that it gets rid of the shininess. I'll probably not buy this again.
In my other review, I raved about the BareMinerals SPF 15 powder foundation and how it is the only foundation I will ever use. For some reason, my dumb-a accidentally bought this one when I needed to restock on my BM powder foundation. I was too lazy to return it and decided to try it out to see if I liked it or not. It is very matte as advertised, but I found it to be too thick for my liking. The only thing better about the Matte foundation than the original one is the packaging. There is a turn-lock thingy so the powder doesn't spill everywhere. Now I'm just trying to use it all up so I can repurchase the original foundation.
Foundations -Bare Escentuals - bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation

Back in high school I tended to stay away from any kind of foundation because all the ones I've tried made me break out like crazy!!! Not this one! My roommates recommended it to me since they swear by it even though they switched back to MAC. I still LOVE this foundation. It looks really natural and not cakey at all! My roomies noticed a huge change in my skin after I started using this. Does not make me breakout like the other stuff that I've tried before. I use this almost everyday and a jar will last me a year (I've used this for 2 years now). Not sure why the average is slow low compared to the amazing reviews on Sephora. I will DEF buy this again.
Best moisturizer ever!!! I bought mine at Walgreens for $15? (can't remember). It may sound expensive for a drugstore product, but it comes in a 4 fl oz jar and a free .5 fl oz travel size jar (lasts a LONG time). I bought it last Dec 09 after hearing about it from iamgrape1119. I have been using it religiously every day for a year now underneath my makeup. It is so lightweight, absorbs quickly, and does not cause pimples. My jar is almost gone so I'm going to have to repurchase pretty soon (remember...this lasted me almost an entire year). I've bought several kinds of moisturizers that I've used a few times and kicked to the curb, but the Merlot grapeseed is a keeper. Will DEFINITELY buy again.
