Foundations -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation
barbiechick1992 1/22/2012 1:37:00 AM
This foundation was actually very good. It really did feel like it was very light. It basically felt like I wasn't wearing foundation. I wouldn't say it's a "foundation" though... it really is more like a tinted moisturizer, because the coverage is light to medium at best. The finish is amazingly smooth and natural, I love it. The only complain I have is that it's a bit gross to apply with your hands because it's extremely sticky. And even when you put in on your face with a sponge, it feels really sticky before it completely dries. I really like it though, I would definitely repurchase.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Natureluxe Mousse Mascara - Water Resistant
barbiechick1992 1/22/2012 1:15:00 AM
HOLY F*CK I freaking love this mascara. I just bought it, and I was like super wary about trying the tinted moisturizer and mascara because I bought one of the lip stains in anemone and it was kind of waxy, not very "natural" at all... lol So, whatever, I got over it and bought them anyway. I freaking love this mascara. I love waterproof mascaras, and this is top quality, right herrr. Its like super light and airy (like the commercial) but it also really does define and extend your lashes! LOOOOOVE it. New go to product. Its so cheap too.

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Popped Pimple relief gel pen
barbiechick1992 1/18/2012 9:11:00 PM
Not bad. I wouldn't say I love it, but I use it fairly often and I do believe it helps. My only problem is that the product gets all flaky under makeup, so it actually doesn't really help you cover the pimple. But, it does reduce inflammation and redness really quickly I think. I also like that its in a pen form, so its easy to put in your purse.

Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - Lip Smacker Pink Guava 100% Natural
barbiechick1992 1/18/2012 9:07:00 PM
I love Lip Smackers! I used to collect them when I was in school lol and I love finding new funky flavors. I love guava, so I thought I'd give it a try, it's really yummy! I mean, its not a high end product, but its fun, smells good, and is moisturizing, so its a great chapstick to have in your purse.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Plumping Lip Glaze
barbiechick1992 1/18/2012 8:59:00 PM
Not one of my favorite Stila products. Bought in the warehouse sale for $6. Good for the sale price, not for the actual price. First off, I really dislike Stila lip glaze packaging. You never know when or how much is going to come out, and the brush is a little gross. I love the way this smells, and it has a pleasant tingly feeling, but doesn't sting like so many plumping lip glosses I've tried that have literally made my lips numb. Example Mother Pucker plumper. It also looks very nice on the lips, a bit sticky, but not too much. Beautiful shine. However, I am disappointed because it only really plumps the lips slightly. I wouldn't buy it again.

Concealers -Stila - Stick Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
barbiechick1992 1/18/2012 8:52:00 PM
I am so sad they are discontinuing this when I just discovered this! Another item I bought at the warehouse sale for $6 in shade e. I love it! It is a tad bit light for my complexion, but it looks flawless when I blend it in and set it with a powder. I love that its a stick and is so awesome, because I find that a lot of stick concealers are a bit difficult to apply and don't work well... but, stick concealers are just easier to carry, so its important to me that it is a stick. It is long lasting, and has very good coverage, especially on acne and acne scars. You do have to set it, or it will come faster. I bought it on sale, but the regular price is a little much... All in all I love it though and would repurchase. I feel like some people leaving bad reviews aren't liking the product because they are using it for their under eye area... Stila has under eye concealer, as so many other brands, and they are advertised as "under eye corrector/concealer". You shouldn't be using a stick for the under eye are because you will get bad results. I recommend a liquid/cream one or one that comes in a pot. Differences between a stick and under eye concealer: Stick usually comes in full coverage, is more matte, and tends to have yellow undertones good for covering up blemishes. Some are suitable for under eye, example Smashbox stick, but the Stila one is not. A cream concealer can usually be used for any area, and example would be the Maybelline Dream Mousse. Some are specifically for under eye areas, such as Stila pot concealer. A liquid concealer is usually for the eyes if it is a thin liquid, or good for all over if it is thicker consistency. So, you would get better results with a liquid or cream concealer :)

Eyes -Stila - Lash Visor
barbiechick1992 1/18/2012 8:36:00 PM
I bought this during the warehouse sale of there holidays. It was $8. I have a Stila obsession, as some people may have noticed. I keep buying their products and they keep working for me, lol so I'll keep buying them! This mascara is like so many of their products, really great. It definitely is waterproof, like I can shower and still have some mascara on. I already cried while wearing it (kind of unfortunate but things happen) and it didn't run. It doesn't clump or flake (I hate when mascara gets flaky). At the same time, i have to say, it isn't like the best mascara I've used in terms of length and volume, but it definitely doesn't curl, lengthen and define my lashes to some extent, just not as well as other mascaras-- and being a waterproof mascara, you shouldn't expect it to be as lengthening or volumizing anyway. I'm very happy with this product overall, and I will probably repurchase.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray
barbiechick1992 1/18/2012 8:02:00 PM
I feel like I'm the only person in the entire world who doesn't like this product. All of my friends are like raving about it, and I'm here like... "wtf seriously?" I mean, maybe all dry shampoos are like this, or worse than this, and since this is the first dry shampoo I've used I think it sucks... Here is my problem with this dry shampoo, it leaves my hair a matte grayish color after I put it on, even though I really do work it through my hair, make sure not to apply too much product, and do it about 6 inches away or a bit farther from my hair (my bf laughs at me and asks me why my hair is gray lol). It also makes my hair stiff, like I can't run my fingers through it. And it doesn't really look like my hair is "refreshed" I mean, my hair doesn't look as oily, but it still looks oily, and it just looks dull and gross. I mean, its not like I put it on the third day either, because I wash my hair every other day, so I put it on the second day, and my hair isn't that oily to begin with. Another complain I have is the packaging. I shake it before I use it, but at first the only thing that really comes out is a fragrancy air, I have to wait a bit before the actual product comes out. I mean, I wasn't expecting a miracle, especially for the price, but this product does nothing for me, and I've given it a fair amount of tries. It kind of has me feeling wary about trying other dry shampoos. One thing I do adore though, is the scent. Its citrusy and fresh. I love it, and it makes my hair smell awesome all day.

Bronzers -Stila - Stila Sun SPF 15 Bronzing Powder - Shade 02
barbiechick1992 11/18/2011 4:11:00 PM
I got this on sale at JCPenney for like $8.99. I know! Like, no joke, it was DIRT cheap. Well, I am totally in love with this. I use it mostly for contouring, because I love matte bronzers for contouring. I think glittery bronzers (like my go to NARS Laguna) look way prettier when you use them as a blush. Anyway, so I am obsessed with this bronzer. It actually does have very subtle shimmer, but its so little it just doesn't translate onto your face. I'm like golden/tan, and I use Shade 2. I don't think Shade 1 would have looked that great on my skin, because it has an orange tint to it, and I just don't look orangey when I tan lol. But Shade 2 is perfect for me because it is just a few shades darker than my skin, but it doesn't leave my skin looking muddy. Idk its just so pretty. I am definitely going to buy it again, hopefully I'll be able to find it for this really cheap price.

Concealers -Stila - Eye Concealer
barbiechick1992 11/15/2011 1:15:00 PM
I needed a thicker concealer to cover up my dark under eye circles, since I have been getting a lot less sleep this semester. I got this super cheap on the website when it was on sale. I was really surprised when I got the product, it was really hard, almost like it was dried up. I didn't know if the actual product was like this or not, but according to a few reviews I read, it was. I found that this product was too dry and sticky to spread and blend out by itself, so I mixed it with a little bit of my Neutrogena Visibly Even moisturizer. I think I kind of wasted a bit of product by having to do this, because I had to break up the concealer with the end of a brush and mix in the moisturizer. The concealer went on smoothly after I did this, and I am really happy with it. It doesn't provide heavy coverage, I find that I apply it before and after I put on my Stila One Step foundation and it still doesn't brighten my under eye area completely. However, I can also honestly say that it does last all day, and it doesn't get cakey or wrinkly. The product is also probably going to last my an extremely long time. However, I can see myself having trouble getting the product out once it starts to run low, just because the pot is so small, and I like to use my finger to get it out. I can just use a concealer brush though, so its not that big of a deal.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Coral Reef Highlighter Brush
barbiechick1992 11/15/2011 1:03:00 PM
It is a beautiful brush, because the actual brush is full, and the handle is shaped like coral. I saw it and I immediately knew I had to have it, so i bought it with the purpose of using it as a brush to set my loose powder over my foundation. I was really disappointed, because I have a ton of Sonia Kashuk brushes, and they are always really good quality. However, this brush wasn't as soft and fluffy as some of the other brushes, and the bristles felt almost like little strands of plastic... It isn't that bad, I don't regret the purchase because it really is a beautiful brush, but I do with the quality were better.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - 09 Crease Brush
barbiechick1992 11/6/2011 7:43:00 PM
This is a great brush, like all Sonia Kashuk brushes. It is soft, dense, and never sheds (yay). And it is a great crease brush, because its good for picking up/depositing color, and then works perfectly to blend it. I can honestly use just this brush to do my entire eye makeup (minus eyeliner of course) because its great for blending.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Synthetic Dome Brush (Black Handle)
barbiechick1992 11/6/2011 7:33:00 PM
Okay, here is what I love, which is the same for basically all Sonia Kashuk brushes: It is soft, dense, the handle is ergonomic and really nice, and the bristles never shed. What I dislike about this brush is that the bristles are a little long, and I feel like its not quite fluffy enough to be called a "multi-purpose" brush. I feel like its an odd combination of a foundation brush and a powder brush in one. Its still great and I love it, I just wish it was fluffier.
