Liquid -Soap and Glory - Show Good Face 2-in-1 skin energizing foundation and primer

Adore this foundation. It makes my skin glow and I have received so many compliments since purchasing it a couple of months ago. It lasts all day, applies easily and sets to a lovely dewy finish. Light/medium coverage, although I find I don't need a lot to give me flawless skin (perhaps because it's light reflecting?) At the moment this is my current fave which is great as I was getting tired of spending £20 - £30+ on foundations.

I actually don't know what I think of this one. When I wear it my boyfriend and work pals compliment me on my skin BUT when I look in the mirror, I just don't really get it. It's ok but I seem to be missing what others are seeing. I also don't really find it lasts that long on my skin. It's a nice texture and the colour range is good. Being a rather light foundation I will probably use it more now the weather is improving but for the cost (£28) I'm not sure i will repurchase it

So disappointed in this product. I liked the packaging but that's about it! I found it heavy on the skin and I seemed to form a layer of grease on my face when wearing it (I have dry skin). My advice? Try a sample first. At first I thought this was awesome but as it wore it was probably the worst I have used!

Lipstick -MAC - Saint Germain (amplified creme)

I thought the colour of this was amazing and after months of lusting after it but thinking it was too close in shade to a much cheaper lipstick I have, I finally bought it. Now I wish I hadn't! I don't like it at all. It's one of the most drying Mac lipsticks I have ever used and I just don't seem to be able to get on with it at all. Having said that my Aunt has this and it looks awesome with her (dyed) white hair. My sister and I went shopping recently and she wanted this - I tried to put her off thinking Angel would be better but apparently she really likes it so it might well just be me that cannot stand it! The colour is nice but the way it dries my lips just looks rubbish!

If you like purple lipstick i'd give this a go. It's a purpley pink colour which I actually get loads of compliments on when I wear it. It feels nice on and for me is quite long wearing. Not my favourite colour as I prefer pinks and orangey nudes but I was looking for something a but different and this wasn't too much of a change for me. I'm yet to find a colour like this in other ranges which makes it quite unique. I'd buy it again as I like the compliments!

Lipstick -MAC - Matte - Diva

I don't hate this lipstick but when I apply it straight from the bullet it is extremely strong and a little harsh for me. In fact with my NC15/NW15 skintone I look a bit gothy! However, when I slather my lips in lipbalm and apply using my fingers it looks rather nice. So, it's an average review for this one. I wouldn't buy again as MAC sweetie gives the same sort of look as I get applying with my fingers but I will use it up eventually

Lipstick -NARS - Roman Holiday

I love this colour and the texture of the lipstick which is wonderfully smoothing on my lips. I'm finding it a very easy colour to wear and it brightens my face a treat. It's a very pink colour but in my opinion not the sort of colour you would consider barbie pink (which tends to be more of a whiter pink than this one). This is the sort of fresh pink colour that I think is synonamous with spring makeup. I'd buy again .. definately! (For reference I mix an NC15 and NW15 in Mac to get the right colour for my skin)

Lipstick -MAC - Hue

After discovering MAC at the end of 2010 I have become a fan..largely due to the vast array of colours for both lipsticks and eyeshadows. My mum and I chose this for my brother's girlfriend's Christmas present this year alongside girl about town. Brilliant choice as she absolutely adored the colour and has raved and raved about it! Of course, seeing the colour on her I then had to buy it myself! Now Jen is very tanned and it is the perfect nudey shade on her but for me it is a tad draining so not quite my favourite. I do love the texture of this lipstick as it feels moisturising on me which is not always the case with Mac lipsticks. Personally I have to mix this with a tiny dab of st germain to make it slightly more pinky...this works well for me. I wouldn't repurchase as I have colours that suit me better however it's one for the collection and I will continue to use it with St Germain. For reference I am between an NC15 and NW15 (mixing the two to get a good colour mix)

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this before as I have been using it for years (as has my boyfriend - we always share a tub). Firstly, the smell is just devine...if I could find a similar perfume i would bathe in the stuff! It leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and comfortable and eradicates any dry patches. I asked my brother for a tub this Christmas as I had run out....following a sniff and skin test pratically my whole family have now bought a tub. It's not expensive in my opinion..costing less than £11 it lasts about 2 months with 2 of us using it. The pot itself is a round tub which you dip your fingers in and there is no option to buy it in a pump which is a shame as I know some people don't like to put their fingers into pots! I personally use tiny spatulas with any cream/foundation etc that comes in this form so don't really mind either way. My boyfriend tells me it genuinely soothes after shaving and I know I have used it when I have over exfoliated and found it to be soothing! I would wholeheartedly recommend this and hope to god Lush never discontinue!

Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam Gaga

I love Barbie pink lip colour so was instantly attracted to this one. It's my first dabble with Mac lipstick and I have to say I find it lovely to use. Its very smooth to apply and smells delicious! The colour is gorgeous, I do prefer Snog in terms of pinkiness but I will definately use the whole tube of this up (which I rarely do). It doesn't last that long but no worse than any other lipstick I've used! (not a fan of long lasters anyway - find them drying!)

Foundations -Bourjois - Matte Mineral Foundation

Finally! A foundation that I am 100% happy with. Everything I have ever tried has had some flaw..from making my skin oily to not enough coverage. Poor durability to breakouts...the list goes on. This one is totally different ... brilliant coverage, velvety soft, easy to blend and my skin looks and feels flawless. Best of all I havent broken out and I don't feel greasy a few hrs after wearing it. I seriously couldnt be happier and I finally think I can stop searching 'for something better' when it comes to foundation. Top marks!

I liked this foundation. Great colour, great coverage, a cinch to apply. Skin looked flawless when wearing it (surprisingly so since I hate the liquid studio fix) But I write the review in the past tense because I have just been to purchase another stick to be told it is being discontinued : - ( SO I didnt bother this time and am currently using Revlon!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15

Firstly let me explain myself - I will spend what it takes to get a good product. I'm neither high end makeup/nor drugstore junkie. I buy and try whatever I like, although I tend to use drugstore makeup when it comes to eyeshadows and mascaras (which need replacing every couple of months). So, here's what I thought of this MAC foundation - I just don't get the hype surrounding this product. The medium/heavy version made my skin greasy and I hated it. The medium coverage was ok, nothing special at all. To be honest its one of those foundations that I have little to say about. I had great expectations with it being a high end brand and expected my skin to look flawless. In actual fact my current Revlon foundation does a better job and is half the price.

Liquid -Boots - No7 Intelligent Balance Foundation Mousse
rated 2 of 5
bangton 8/22/2010 5:11:00 AM

Really disappointed with this foundation. I bought based on the fantastic 5 star reviews on Boots own website but it made my face feel so oily and I have dry/normal skin! Initially the coverage was great and it was so easy to apply. I liked the jar and spatula it came with and overall it looked very sleek. (a little cumbersome to carry around since its a heavy, glass jar though). As the morning wore on I noticed my chin was looking very shiny and finally my face started to feel so greasy that I actually removed my make up and started again with my Revlon Colourstay mineral mousse. I definately won't use this again based on the oil factor. Also I huge, sore spot developed on my chin during the day I wore this (I usually wake up with spots, not develop them during the day!) - maybe this foundation, maybe not but I would guess this is to blame. I wanted to buy the bourjois mousse foundation which cost the same as this at £11 but I had a £5 No7 voucher so it swayed it for me.I'll know better in future.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Wave™ (Power-Cleanser And Deep Clean Foaming Pads)

I would never have bought this product if I hadn't managed to pick it up for a quid in poundland. However, I'm glad Imanaged to pick up this bargain because it has left my skin feeling soft, completely cleansed and brighter. Makes taking make up off quicker and easier. Only thing that lets it down is the 'normal' cost of the refills
