Horrible. My face feels like it's been stripped of absolutely everything and it feels too squeaky clean; I started getting little red pimples, when my face is usually very soft and smooth. Will never buy again.
A fantastic polish, I can't believe I never knew that NYC makes polishes of this quality. The colour is great, perfect for fall, polish goes on nice and smooth, and doesn't chip. I'm on my third day without topcoat and it's still looking great. Amazing.
Absolutely lovely. I love this sunscreen and will definitely repurchase. I've been using it for a few months now, and I'm glad I found it. It absorbs quickly, smells nice, and seems to work, because my skin looks great. Super cheap as well, can find it on sale for about $10, and it will last you for a while.
This is one of my favourite, if not favourite, mascaras. It does the job, doesn't clump, washes off easily and lasts forever. I don't notice that it comes off or smudges during the day, which is another plus. I gave it a 4 simply because I'm assuming that another, better mascara, is out there, but this one is still fantastic.
Treatments -Clinique - Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil-Free

I used to like this lotion, but it's started to burn my skin. I will definitely not repurchase.
Cleansers -Olay - Sensitive Skin Foaming Face Wash

This product is amazing. I've been using it for a year now, and I am so happy with it that I wouldn't even consider buying another cleanser. It's gentle, takes off all of my makeup (I just have to foam up my face for about 30 seconds), and it's relatively cheap. It lasts a long time as well; you don't need much it to wash your face. Absolutely wonderful.
I don't understand why this SPF cream is getting such bad reviews! Personally, I love it! It goes on smoothly and even though I have oily skin, it doesn't make my skin shine. I've had no adverse reactions, the fragrance doesn't bother me, and I think it's actually helped my acne-prone skin. I've been using it for a while now, and I'm on my third bottle. It isn't that expensive either.
Mascara -Rimmel - Volume Flash The Max in Extreme Black 003

This isn't a good mascara. I've tried a few, and this is one of the worse ones. It clumps, which I hate. It's not completely awful though: if you apply it carefully, it does make my lashes long and sexy, but still, I wouldn't repurchase.
Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure

First of all, I don't have the Desert essence brand, but another bottle of jojoba oil. I'm writing about a month after purchasing it so that I could write a fair and balanced review. I really liked using this oil on my face; it did take a while to sink in though, even though I didn't put on that much, so in that sense, it made my face feel greasy at night. However, I felt like my skin really loved it, and in the morning, unbelievably so, my oil-slick face didn't have a drop of grease on it. Surreal. I didn't break out for the first little while, but then I got large red bumps along my jawline, which I never get, so I attribute it to this oil. I've stopped using it now, and have reverted to my tried tested and true benzoyl peroxide for acne, but I will definitely continue to use my jojoba oil once in a while, perhaps more so in the winter.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Face Lotion with SPF 15

I absolutely adore this moisturizer and have been using it for about 7 or 8 months now... However, it's apparently useless to call it a sunscreen due to the fact that it has 8% glycolic acid, which negates the effect of the sunscreen. I still like it as an exfoliant though. It doesn't sting (although I have oily skin so I'm not sensitive to products), and it smells lovely. I will probably not repurchase though, which is sad, because I love it otherwise! It just isn't effective as a sunscreen, which is what I need.
Moisturizers -Weleda - Wild Rose Intensive Facial Cream
banana77 11/22/2009 4:15:00 PM
Hands down the best cream I've ever used on my face. Thick, but not oily. Doesn't cause me to break out, and blends beautifully. My skin is hydrated, and it smells amazing. You would think the rose smell would turn some people off, but I adore it. I'll probably never buy another cream again, although I still love my Nivea Soft or Nivea Baby. Definitely worth purchasing, even though it is pricier than most. However, a little package lasted me for at least a few months; you don't need to use a lot. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Soft Hands Kind Heart Hand Cream
banana77 11/19/2009 10:49:00 PM
A lovely cream, with 60% (in Canada, 6/10$) of the proceeds going to the foundations working to stop sex trafficking of children and minors. That is an astoundingly generous amount, and the cream is so nice and clean-smelling.
I don't recommend this. It clumps, which it shouldn't. I've tried a lot of mascaras, and I have to say that I was unpleasantly surprised by this one.
I've been using this stain for a little while now, and I've only tried it on my lips. In short, I think it's alright; nothing special whatsoever. It dries out my lips so I have to use it with a lip balm as well, and the staying power could be longer. I took off a lippie for packaging simply because it started to ooze out when I closed it... I definitely don't like that!
Eye Makeup Remover -The Body Shop - Chamomile Eye Makeup Remover
banana77 10/29/2009 8:52:00 PM
I bought this thinking that it would be gentle because of the chamomile... no such luck. It burned my eyes every single time I tried to remove makeup. I've heard that it doesn't do this to everyone though. Still, I wouldn't recommend it.
