Treatments -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Pore minimizing Skin Re-Smoother
rated 4 of 5

My skin tends to be on the oilier/shiny side, and this product is excellent at making my face matte. It has a drying effect and I would no way call this product a "moisturizer". I'm now using this as a primer. As for the pore minimizing effects, I'm not sold on it. I have some visible pores near my nose and it seems to only be a temporary solution, not progressive. I will buy this again as a primer, it makes my makeup go on amazingly.

Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Radiance Day Creme
rated 2 of 5

while I've had a great experience with other Burt's Bees products, I'm really disappointed with this one. it doesn't absorb well into the skin and left my face feeling greasy, which is last thing I want or expect in a day cream - after a couple of days using it - hoping it'd cooperate with my skin, I gave up. I'm now finishing the jar on my hands and collarbone area.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
rated 1 of 5
ballinbebe 8/31/2010 6:26:00 AM

I bought this product solely because of the high rating it got on here. My experience is proof everyone is different and what works best you, isn't necessarily the best for someone else. As someone who wears waterproof liquid eyeliner and mascara, as well as eyeshadow - it's a pretty good makeup remover when you rub a dab circularly over your eyes and wipe it off with a kleenex. On my entire face however, even after I wiped and even washed my face: it was easily the greasiest, pore clogging thing I've ever subjected my combination skin to. It has a greasy residue similar to rubbing lard over your hands and running it under water. It's a decent makeup removing option, nothing groundbreaking - but I'll probably finish the jar for that purpose, but I would never use this as a full face treatment and definitely won't buy this again.

Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Naturally Ageless Night Creme
rated 5 of 5
ballinbebe 8/24/2010 1:17:00 AM

I'm almost done with my first jar of this product, using it nightly. Pros: - It rubs into the skin effortlessly and smoothly. - It's a light and non-greasy formulation. - The smell is very subtle and has a very light and "organic" spice and fruit scent - not chemically at all. Cons: - Not a fan of the jar and using my fingers to scoop moisturizer out. - It's definitely a night creme. If you have oily/combo skin, your face may look (but not feel) oilier afterward. I use it before bedtime, after washing my face/removing makeup, applying it to my entire face and neck. I don't have any fine lines or wrinkles so I can't say it's changed my face, but I do notice my face feels firmer and tight, especially my cheeks. I would definitely buy this again in the future, currently however, I have my eyes on other moisturizers I'd like to try once this jar is over.

Gels/Soaps -Kiehls - Coriander Shower Gel
rated 5 of 5
ballinbebe 8/17/2009 5:53:00 AM

This is the only shower gel I've used where I didn't bother using perfume or scented lotion afterwards and friends/co-workers would literally sniff me and compliment the scent. I converted a bunch of people to use Kiehl's for this product alone - maybe my friends are seriously deprived of coriander or something. I currently don't use this, as I'm finishing up a bottle of Mor and want to try some other brands next, but i'll definitely be grabbing this again.

Gels/Soaps -Kiehls - musk shower gel
rated 4 of 5

I was drawn to this smell in-store and decided to pick up the shower gel. It's a very warm, woodsy scent and it's a VERY masculine scent. After a couple showers I gave it to my boyfriend, since it the scent clashed with the floral/feminine perfumes/body products I use. He loves the smell, and it smells waaaaay better on him than me!

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
rated 2 of 5
ballinbebe 8/17/2009 5:38:00 AM

I'm not sure if this product was right for me to begin with, as my skin generally is clear but will break out a couple times a month. I tried so many products and while stuff like Clearasil worked temporarily, it couldn't prevent future breakouts from occurring - which is what I thought Proactiv could help me with. The 1st regimen, the scrub lived up to its name, it SCRUBBED - and was way too abrasive for me. The 2nd step was the toner, and I have no real opinion of it since it didn't really change anything. The 3rd step is the lotion which like the latter, didn't do much/anything at all. I used two sets of of this (figuring I just needed more time), before my patience wore thin. Nothing changed at all, I was still getting breakouts. Right now I'm using a B. Kamins regimen for the past couple months and I'm already getting results.

Cleansers -B. Kamins - Bio-Maple Hydrating Acne Wash
rated 4 of 5
ballinbebe 8/17/2009 5:13:00 AM

I usually get random but mild breakouts, oily/combination skin and I found this product to work nicely with minimizing inflammation and preventing the up and comers. I'm used to washing with face with lather-rich cleansers, so it took me a while to get used to the flat viscosity of this cleanser and coming to terms with the fact my face can be clean without tons of suds. It doesn't have any strong smell and rinses off nicely. I use this two times a week in conjunction with another cleanser and my skin has been behaving nicely. I used to use this twice a day but dried my skin out to the point my skin was flaking. Practical packaging, decent price, product seems to work well so far - would definitely buy again.

Blush -L'Oreal - True Match super-blendable blush
rated 4 of 5
ballinbebe 1/10/2007 3:43:00 PM

I purchased C5-6, and it's a very natural flushed look for my darker skin (before I was using Chanel and Cover Girl which looked too "pink"). I really don't like the two-sided packaging but the brush applicator is pretty decent for its size. All in all i'd purchase it again because it's affordable and blends nicely.

Skincare - Body -H20 - Sea Salt Scrub
rated 3 of 5
ballinbebe 1/10/2007 3:35:00 PM

It's a very thick and invigorating scrub that moisturized my body to the point of feeling almost greasy. While I like the fresh crisp smell and the granular texture - there are cheaper and more effective alternatives to this.

Fragrances -Escada - Rockin' Rio
rated 3 of 5

I was obsessed with the sample vial of this and decided to purchase the full sized version, much to my regret and like most other reviewers - I ended up overwhelmed with the ubersweet smell. It's a very "young" fragrance, something i'd be happier wearing in my teens.

Fragrances -Nina Ricci - Premier Jour
rated 4 of 5
ballinbebe 4/2/2006 6:12:00 PM

It's a very mature and seductive fragrance that lingers in your memory. It's not a everyday fragrance and excessive use does get overwhelming, but I love this line and would def. buy again.

Concealers -E.L.F. - Tone Correcting Concealer
rated 1 of 5
ballinbebe 3/14/2006 1:06:00 AM

The concealer has an awful smell, smells like rotted fruit/garbage (I had to wash my face off) and the consistency the concealer is extremly watery and inconsistent. Avoid.

Very musky and fruity - it smells incredibly cheap and unexeptional.

Fragrances -Rimmel - London Glam Fragrance

I got a sample kit that included this fragrance, and it's a very young scent - I'm in my 20's and this is way too sweet and overwhelming to borderline nauseating for me.
