Another soft copy of Pink Sugar. I like it though because PS is too strong for me.

Moisturizers -First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Cream

I can't add much more to the glowing review written by the lovely OLELALA, it is truly a breakthrough for irritable skin. I gave up on wearing moisturizers simply because my skin was never helped by them. They were either too light and did nothing, too emollient and skin congesting, or too harsh and irritating. I have been diagnosed with mild rosacea, but I think I just have very sensitive skin. If I am very careful with what I put on it, my skin doesn't look red. Needless to say my skin is usually a little red from reacting to something. The first time I put this product on, I waited for the the usual stinging, itching, burning, or gloppy feeling too come. It never did. In fact my skin actually felt like nothing, I just had a faint awareness that my skin no longer felt parched. Same thing the second time, and the third, which is usually the limit of tolerance for my face with something new. I actually looked in the mirror at my skin and an involuntary, "wowww...." escaped my lips. The price is very reasonable, $28.00 US for SIX OUNCES! Don't spread this around, but would pay three times as much for this because I HAVE to have it! I have never heard of First Aid Beauty before, but there are several other products in their line to try at Sephora. I will probably try their anti-redness serum next. Then again, I might not need it! The main drawback to some will be the packaging. I am not fond of tubs due to contamination, but I just use a fresh q-tip every morning to scoop out a pea-sized dollop. Problem solved. If you have a similar skin type to mine, please give it a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

1. Ditch the included brush. Completely worthless. 2. Product goes on like a softened black, not so harsh. It really doesn't go on "purple." 3.Nice, smooth consistency, easy to apply. 4.NEVER had a product flake so much in my life. It starts flaking right after application and continues flaking all day long. 5.For the price, I'd recommend MAC Fluid Line instead.

First, pay no attention to the color you see on the bottle, it does not reflect the contents inside. I ordered mine through Sephora.com because neither of the local Sephora's carry CK, boo! I was a little surprised by the beige color on the bottle because I ordred the lightest color, porcelain. It turns out that they are all the same color and you can't see the makeup inside. Since I am almost always the lightest shade available, it was pretty easy to choose porcelain. It is a perfect neutral for very light skin. Kudos to CK for keeping it neutral! I am a true neutral and it is very difficult to find foundation that is not too ashy or too yellow. A great color for pale girls. I can't speak to the other shades because I haven't seen them, sorry about that. I really couldn't be more pleased with this makeup's performance. It glides on easily, looks incredibly natural and polished, is invisible while wearing, and manages to cover minor redness and blemishes very well! I happen to be on the dry side, so if you are too, you'll want to be sure and moisturize well before putting on. CK has taken at least one other crack at a cosmetic line. I didn't try anything from their previous venture, but this one seems to be a winner. Big time! For some of you , this will be a 32.00 miracle in a bottle!

Fragrances -Chanel - Chance Eau Fraiche

Very fresh, yet manages to "warm up" a little throughout the day. I paid $80 for the 3.4 oz. bottle at Macy's, a definite splurge for me. By the end of the day it becomes quite sexy and makes me want to put on a cuddly sweater and watch 80's movies with my husband. No bad notes for me, and I have touble with scents going "musky".Ladies who prefer headier scents might not love this, but if you prefer fresh, non-foody scents that last and transform throughout the day, try this!

Polishes -NARS - Orgasm
rated 3 of 5
badhero 6/21/2008 8:16:00 PM

For those of you who were disappointed by how warm the color turns out, I found a great alternative at an even "awesomer" price. Try Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in "Almond Crunch" It has the same level of color, the same shimmer, but the color dries to what the Nars looks like in the bottle. I paid $2.60 for it at Rite Aid and couldn't be more pleased with my thrifty cleverness! ;) Will update on wear, feels a bit thinner going on. UPDATE: Still loving this as a slightly pinker alternative to Orgasm. Wears very well, but needed a glossy top coat to attain that shiny look of the Nars product.

Liquid -American Beauty - Perfect Lighting Line Smoothing Foundation SPF 15
rated 3 of 5
badhero 4/1/2008 12:35:00 PM

This is a really great foundation except for one thing--it's not really a foundation. Or at least it shouldn't be. It makes a great highlighter! I could not believe how sparkly this was. It looked allright indoors but when I checked it in my rear view mirror I was shocked! It looked like someone threw gold glitter at my face! I do use it as a highlighter with American Beauty's Natural Finish Foundation, because it can look a little flat. I'm waiting for them to come out with a liquid that is "in-between." Estee Lauder is their parent company, they can do it!

Liquid -Laura Mercier - Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation
rated 5 of 5

I use a lot of LM products, and I think they are truly great quality. I just don't want to take the time that's required for some of them. I will use this foundation for special occasion only--because it looks too good! I don't think I've ever found a color match that looked as beautiful for my pale skin. It really makes you lood like a walking airbrushed photo, sort of like Barbie come to life. The thing is, Barbie's made of plastic! For everyday I have been loving her tinted moisturiser, which gives a lot of coverage and is totally undetectable on me. Couldn't recemmend this more! I'll save the foundation for my 20 year reunion coming up, eat your heart out, class of '89!

Foundations -Elizabeth Arden - Intervene

I'm BEGGING cosmetic companies to realize that people in general aren't tanning as much and they need to formulate some lighter colors! I agree with everything good that was said about this foundation, they just don't carry a light enough shade for my NW15 coloring. Not even close. So to sum up, great foundation, poor color selection. By the way, why can't the SA's ever just say that they don't have a color that will work for you. They send you home with something they know isn't going to work, and then act snooty when you have to return it. UGGHH!

Powder -Laura Mercier - Mineral Powder SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
badhero 3/10/2008 3:23:00 PM

For those of you like me who loved the launch of this product but were disappointed by the color selection, the time has come to rejoice! There are two new colors, "soft porcelain" and "natural beige". The "tender rose " was just too dark for me and I wanted to cry when I had to return it, but the "soft porcelain is perfect and could work for anyone who is very fair. So here is a second chance to look like you have glowing SKIN--not glowing makeup! 35.00 Totally worth it. OH, I usually cannot tolerate bismuth... at all, itch city, but this doesn't bother me! I can hardly believe it, but I'm not going to question it! UPDATE: BOO! I broke out after a week. I am sensitive, but I rarely break out with blemishes. For some reason the bismuth took longer took cause a reaction and I thought I was safe. Loving the LM tinted moisturiser I exchanged it for!

Mascara -Revlon - 3D Extreme Mascara - Blackest Black
rated 5 of 5
badhero 3/8/2008 3:13:00 PM

Totally against the crowd on this one. I have no problems with the brush, no clumping, and high drama lashes when I'm done. No flaking and it comes off easilly with my Origins face oil. Actually, I like this more than any of the mascaras I've tried recently including Dior Show, Fresh, Blinc, and Voluminous. Makes me look like jail-bait with "Bat-Bat-Bat" fat lashes!

Liquid -Clarins - Truly Matte Foundation
rated 5 of 5
badhero 1/26/2008 9:13:00 PM

I have been having a terrible time finding a foundation I like w/o sunscreen, as my skin can be very reactive. I think LM has great foundations, (and no sunscreen) but I have to reserve these for special occasion as they can cause breakouts. LM's foundations seem more like photography makeup, looking almost "too good" for everyday wear. So, the search continued.... After trying many, I happen to read Paula's review of the Clarins Truly Matte foundation in her January newsletter. She gave it a glowing review and also mentioned that it had a non-chemical (titanium dioxide) sunblock of 15! Well, that got my motor running! :) I asked for a sample at Macy's because in addition to being sensitive, I am also dry and wasn't sure this would work for me. I had high hopes however because the only reason I stopped wearing Clarin's foundations before was because they were way too moist, and I figured that this might be a happy medium. Love it! I wear it with their gentle moisturizer and over a primer, ( see reviews for Monistat Chafing Gel) It does a brilliant job of looking natural yet beautifully polished. My perfect color is #3, the second lightest cool shade. This is nice because usually I have trouble finding a shade light enough, or one that isn't too yellow. (Hello Stila!) Lasted all day, didn't dry out my thirsty, rosacea prone skin. I would gladly wear this for everyday AND on special occasions. $34 USD. PS Paula tick's me off most of the time. What is right for her cannot possibly be right for everyone; however, I have to give her props on this one. Great product! UPDATE: Still a GREAT product but it proved to too drying for my skin, but I have pretty dry skin to begin with, darn!
