Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Tazorac

I've been using tazorac 0.1 cream previously to address some acne scars and moderate acne applying once daily before bedtime in a pea sized amount. It made my skin red, oily and itchy. My skin started peeling away and started looking worse than pretreatment. I was about to give up. The cream formulation was too greasy for my acne prone skin that I also started to break out in areas such as my cheeks where ive never experienced any problems before. One good thing was since my skin was usually sensitive, i was thankful for no allergic reaction (rashes, etc). I was reading here about how it gets worse before it gets better so I gave this product more time (3 months). After 3 months, no improvement: still breaking me out. I returned to my GP and she switched it to the 0.1 gel formulation. Much better results! After only a week, my acne faded away healing all the acne left behind from the cream formulation. The gel absorbs quickly and is stronger since it doesn't contain fillers like the cream. Because it's a gel, it drys your skin more than the cream so moisturizing often is recommended. I use cetaphil. Also, i use sunscreen 30spf or above every day (cetaphil oil controlling spf 30 moisturizer). As for acne scars, brown marks have faded away but pitted scars and box car scars have not changed one bit. Still, good product overall.

Lip Gloss -Essence - Lip Gloss
babyaimy00 9/21/2012 8:58:00 PM
The color I got this in is "True Love", which is a deep red color. I wouldn't have purposely gone out to buy this product, but I didn't bring my make up bag with me one day and I needed a quick replacement as I had to go out later that night. I stopped by shoppers and grabbed an inexpensive lip gloss. Only 3.50 Canadian. I applied it on in the car, and was a bit shocked by the color pay off. Pretty pigmented! The smell was a bit strong for my taste though. Overly sweet like a cherry jolly rancher. It was also nonsticky and had great lasting power. :) Thumbs up!

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
babyaimy00 3/2/2012 6:17:00 PM
I got this in cherry me, and, honestly, there is really nothing too special with this product. It's a bit overrated. It's sheer. It keeps my lips moist for 30 minutes, and then I find myself reapplying. You can taste the spf in this product, but it's tolerable. The packing is cute, but also looks a bit cheap. I rather use my nivea lip balm in berry. The nivea keeps my lips moist for a longer period of time, smells lovely, and is a bit more pigmented as well.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
babyaimy00 2/29/2012 6:31:00 PM
I use buff for combination/oily complexions. I love how this foundation feels on the skin. It's lightweight, spreads so well, and gives you medium coverage that can be layered on to become heavy coverage. Buff matches my skin color perfectly. The smell of this foundation reminds me of mocha candy but it's a faint smell that I could tolerate. I have acne prone skin, use this everyday, and it has yet to break me out. I'm very pleased with this product and hope that it would never be discontinued, ever. The only downside to american products is they never have a high enough spf. Spf 6 doesn't protect you enough. I have fair skin so I apply sunscreen underneath this.

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label
babyaimy00 2/26/2012 12:41:00 AM
I had high hopes for this product since many have stated that this was compatible with acne prone skin. I've been using this product for 1 month now and I am convinced it has been breaking me out. Not really big juicy pimples, but small little pimples which could get annoying when this breaks out in numbers. The consistency of this product is just right making it easy to spread and apply over the face. The coverage is excellent. Since I am light in complexion, the greyish color from this product was not too obvious on me. However, please remember to contour or apply some blush on the cheeks otherwise you'll look ill. I still love my revlon coverstay foundation in buff, and I still rather use that than the skin79. The coverstay foundation for oily/combination skin controls my oil a bit better than this, but it doesn't have a high enough spf. .I really love how asian products put antiaging as their priority.

Lips -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Balm
babyaimy00 2/25/2012 7:55:00 PM
If you compare this to Revlon's lip butter, it won't be as pigmented. What I like about this balm is that it has a spf of 15, moisturizing, and doesn't smell too bad. I actually like the smell which reminds me of the coated of easter eggs. I can see why some reviewers would not like this product however. It's 8.99 cdn, which is pretty pricey for what you get. It is after all just a balm with almost no color pay off. You might as well purchase something inexpensive that does the same job. I still find myself reaching for this over my lip butters though. It just brings me happiness when I use this for some odd reason. I purchased this in caring coral. I took and uploaded the picture of it above. I am excited to try some other colors as well! :)

Brows -Maybelline - Define-A-Brow
babyaimy00 1/27/2012 2:34:00 PM
I like how this brow pencil has good color pay off, inexpensive, and great lasting power. Pretty much everything you look for in an eye pencil. It could also give you naturally looking thick brows. Now, the bad part about this brow pencil is that started to develop rashes on the places I've applied this which was devastating to me because I loved the results from this brow pencil so much. The rashes worsened and my eyebrow started to shed hair. I have sensitive skin though.

Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen
babyaimy00 1/11/2012 3:36:00 AM
Seriously Revlon, seriously? This has got to be the worst liquid eyeliner I've ever tried, ever. It's like a diluted, cheap, eyeliner. Terrible. Waste of money. Makes me a bit angry and yet so disappointed. I own the Revlon colorstay liquid eyeliner and it was decent. I thought this would be similar but a pen form. I was wrong.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - NOW Sweet 100% Pure Almond Oil
babyaimy00 1/11/2012 3:24:00 AM
This oil has the same consistency as jojoba oil and smells similar to it as well. I use this for my dark eye circles and acne scarring on the side of my face. I've yet to see results and I've been using this for 2 weeks. I would give it more times since nothing bad has happened yet from using it. Like any other natural oil, I won't wear this before going out. I would only wear oils before sleeping.

Toners -Thayers - Rose Petal Alcohol Free Witch Hazel
babyaimy00 1/11/2012 3:11:00 AM
This toner is good for those who have acne prone skin and enlarged pores. It doesn't break me out! The smell of this isn't too bad. Kind of a rose smell to mask the terrible smell of witch hazel I guess. You'll go through a bottle of this really fast. I use it every morning and every night after cleansing my face with either Pond's cold cream or Olay's foaming cleanser for sensitive skin (both I recommend). It does a good job on removing make up left behind by the cleanser, and is also inexpensive. Since I live in Canada, I buy it from www.well.ca which also offers free shipping for Canadians. I love that this toner doesn't contain any harsh chemicals like alcohol which would dry out your skin making you more prone to wrinkles. This contains natural ingredients like aloe, rose petal, witch hazel, and almond oil. It's perfect for those who have eczema like me. Leaves your skin feeling smooth, moisturized, and clean. Also, I've been using this for 2 months now and started noticing the enlarged pores on my forehead become noticeably smaller! Love love love. A must have. Highly recommended!

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Cream
babyaimy00 1/10/2012 3:32:00 PM
I love applying this moisturizing cream on my body because it feels so refreshing every time. It isn't as thick as aveeno cream but does a better job at keeping my eczema away. At first, I purchased this to use on my face as well, but realized it was too thick and felt way too heavy. Aveeno lotion still does a better job in keeping my face soft. Because the cetaphil cream comes in a tub, just remember to wash your hands every time to keep the product lasting longer. A lot of physicians recommend cetaphil cream to patients with eczema. I'm not super impressed with this product so I don't have much to say. It comes really close to my aveeno cream. Both have similar texture, and both do a decent job for eczema. If I have to choose between the two, aveeno lotion wins for the face and cetaphil cream for the body.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
babyaimy00 1/10/2012 3:04:00 PM
It was my first time ever using a cold cream cleanser but it wasn't a terrible experience. I suffer from dry skin in the winter and using my regular olay foaming cleanser doesn't feel moisturizing enough for my face. I just felt it was stripping away my skin's natural oils and plus it didn't do that good of a job in removing all my makeup. Now I cover my entire face REALLY generously with pond's cold cream and rub in circular motions around my face. It's so great at removing waterproof mascara and all my heavily applied foundation. I was impressed from the first time using this. I wash it off with a warm wash cloth and end up with a clean and moisturized face. Perfect! Uh, expect for the smell. I wish Pond's did not add so much fragrance into their products. It had a strong perfume smell and I'm sure that can't be too good for sensitive skin. I have acne prone skin and this works well. This is relatively inexpensive as well! Opps, I forgot to add that the first time I used this, I forgot to remove my contact lens, and this got into my eye and pretty much destroyed my lens. Please remove your contacts before using cold cream.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - rosehip seed oil
babyaimy00 1/10/2012 2:38:00 PM
Rosehip oil is rich in omega fatty acids and antioxidants which in combination aids in cell repair when used in a regular basis. I purchased this in hopes it would rid of my forehead wrinkle from raising my left eyebrow too much. I've given this product one month to work it's magic and so far, wrinkle still remains the same and is clearly still there. This isn't a miracle product. At first I wanted to purchase the Trilogy rosehip oil but hesitated because of the price. I ordered the NOW rosehip oil from www.well.ca instead because of the free shipment it offers to canadian consumers. Every night, I drop 2-3 drops of rosehip oil on my palms, rub together to warm up, and pat it onto my face. There's a faint smell to this. Sometimes the smell bothers me because it does smell like fish oil. The fishy smell isn't the most attractive thing. During the winter my face would get flaky around the eyebrows and cheeks and rosehip oil works wonders in relieving dry skin. Also, I've noticed my acne scars from the past where I've had the habit of picking scabs, started to fade away. The consistency of this product isn't thick. It's thinner and smells better than jojoba oil and almond oil. It's definitely worth trying this product if you're intentions were to fade acne scars on your face. I would have to keep looking for a miracle product that helps rid that wrinkle on my forehead....

Treatments -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream
babyaimy00 1/8/2012 7:32:00 PM
I first started using this product 4 years ago. At the time I was 20 so I did not have wrinkles but had enlarged pores and cystic acne all over my forehead and chin. I found this product, applied peasized amount on my face, and went to sleep with it. My skin would start clearing up in a week and with continued use, skin would remain clear. I definitely recommend this product. For some odd reason, I stopped using it for about 2 years now and started using alpha hydrox products with glycolics instead. My skin while using alpha hydrox remained acne-free, but became red and my enlarged pores returned. Last week I decided to go back to using neutrogena healthy skin antiwrinkle cream and I'm seeing reduced pore sizes after just 3 days of use. Never again would I try to find a replacement for this fantastic product ever again. If any of you have acne, please give this a try. It saved my skin and does what it promises. Just remember to wear sunscreen with at least spf of 30 during the daytime. You don't want your skin is burn.

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure
babyaimy00 1/7/2012 11:16:00 PM
I had high hopes for this product but it broke me out. I dabbed some on my forehead before I went to bed, and woke up with a big red gigantic painful pimple. I really wanted to like this product. It has an oily smell to it, and could stain clothing/fabric. I won't be repurchasing since my skin definitely does not agree with this product. Nope nope nope. Never.
