Concealers -Cover Girl - Covergirl & Olay Concealer Balm

Unfortunately for me most concealer sticks/creams just don't work for me. So frankly I probably shouldn't have bothered trying this out. My favorite consistency for concealers is liquid. I tried this in the shade Light which matched my NC30 skin pretty close. On application it did feel creamy like a balm and smooth. However it was just too creamy for me that it creased under my eyes and looked cakey. I applied it straight from the tube, fingers and brushes and also setting it with powder. I had a little bit of redness on the sides of my nose and it was fine but it didn't last very long and it just felt heavy to me. I guess this concealer is better for normal to dry skin? But for my Combo like skin it didn't work well at all.
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Ladybug Jane Bubble Gum Lip Balm

I'm an organic-lip balm junky and always looking for a lip balm that actually works. I love this lip balm! it has great ingredients and a whole bunch of flavors to choose from. I love bubble gum flavor and I appreciate that it's not a cloying bubble gum scent. Also if you do lick your lips it has almost no flavor just a tiny bit sweet. It soothes and hydrates my lips without that waxy feel. Even though these are targeted to kids I say give it a try because these are wonderful!
Masks -Michael Todd True Organics - Pearl and Silk Mask

I saw youtuber's talk about this brand so much and how great it was, so it made me quite skeptical about this brand. However I saw this one mask on MTTO website and was intrigued. So I bought it alongside the Algae toner. So far I've used this for about a month or more and use it once a week. So far I'm really liking how it leaves me skin soft and brighter. This is supposed to help with brightening, exfoliating (without granules), hydrates, unclog pores and more. I find it does almost everything but if you want your pores clean I say use a separate mask (this mask does some light work on "clearing" out pores). I use a clay mask to clean pores etc. But love this for keeping my skin smooth, bright and hydrated. Definitely recommend!
Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

-I have combination skin (normal to oily). -My skin tone is about MAC NC30 -Closest match is Warm Beige. (I'd probably have to mix Medium Beige and Warm Beige but I'm not one for mixing. For me It's too much of a hassle.) I mainly use Tinted Moisturizers from LM, Bobbi Brown and Nars so for me it was tricky to pick a foundation shade. However they did have testers and I believe that Warm Beige is the closest match. Medium Beige was a shade too light but I wish Warm beige was a tiny bit lighter and had more of a natural yellow tone to it. I have light-medium skin with natural yellow/olive undertones- nothing too yellow, I find MAC's foundations to be a tiny bit too yellow for me. If that helps anyone. On application I use a very thin layer to even out my skin. I can add a bit more to any redness around my nose and I find it to have medium coverage. I can easily sheer it out if I want to and also medium coverage. My skin is basically clear but at times I do have redness around the corners of my nose. This does dry quickly but in a good way. There's no tacky feeling like the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation. You also may not have to powder it because it does have a matte-natural finish. You can powder it to make it last longer. I didn't see any oxidation, separation or caking. However if you have some dry/flakey areas it will cling to that. You can use a primer or moisturize really prior to application. So far I think it's ok but I do wish they had a better color selection.
Pressed Powders -Revlon - Nearly Naked Pressed Powder

I have combination to oily skin I'm about NC30 in MAC Shade match: Light - it is just a tiny bit dark for me. I use the nearly naked foundation and as well as tinted moisturizers and set it with a light dusting of the Nearly Naked Powder in Light. You have to be light handed with the powder because it can look a little too heavy. I was using my powder puff before but I find using a brush (pushing it on the skin not sweeping) makes it go on lighter and more natural looking. I like that the powder is sort of a satin natural finish. It doesn't make me any oilier nor did I see any oxidation, separation or caking. I really like the texture, very soft and not at all chalky. So far I'm really liking this powder. Just need a shade lighter but I have check that out.
-I have combination skin (normal to oily). -My skin tone is about MAC NC30 -Closest match is Fresh Beige I normally use LM, NARS and Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizers so it was a little hard to pick a shade for me. I found a lot of people in NC20-25 had picked Shell. So I figured I needed to go about 1-2 shades up. I tried out Medium Beige but I felt like it was too dark and it seemed to have a bit of an orange tone to it. I bought Fresh Beige and if your about an NC30 your closest match will be Fresh Beige. It's actually still slightly off -(Revlon hasn't mastered yellow/olive tones yet) it has a slight pinkish tone and just a 1/2 shade dark. I have medium-light skin with natural yellow/olive tone. But I guess you can work with it if you really loved the foundation unless it oxidizes on you. However for me it did get slightly darker - not good since it was already slightly off. On application: I apply one thin layer and a little more around my nose to cover up any redness. I also like that it's buildabe -I say you can wear this sheer all the way to medium. It doesn't seem to make me any oilier nor did I see any separation or caking. However it does have a "too-dewy" finish and it does leave a slight tacky feeling until you powder it. I do set it with a light dusting of the Nearly Naked Powder in Light. You have to be light handed with the powder because it can look a little too heavy. I was using my powder puff but I find using a brush (pushing it on and lightly sweeping) makes it go on lighter and more natural looking. On my combo skin I prefer the look of it when I set it with powder. It still becomes too dewy again, which I'm not a fan of. I prefer demi-matte or satin finish for my combo -normal to oily skin. I got a sample of Urban Decays Naked Skin Foundation in shade 4.0 it works greatfor me. It has the Demi-Matte natural skin finish I like and also better shades for yellow/olive tones. Final verdict: I gave it a three because it's not a terrible foundation but the shades could be better for yellow/olive tones. It could be less tacky, last a little longer and if it were not as dewy at least for my skin type. I think maybe this foundation is better for cool/neutral tones because of the pink in almost all the shades. Also this would probably work better for normal to dry skin -those looking for a dewy finish. I have returned it because it just doesn't work for my skin type & tone.
Treatments -Live Clean - (Exotic Nectar) - Argan Oil Leave In Spray

I also bought this at my local Shopper's Drug mart :) My hair is pretty healthy in general. My ends a tad dry so I picked this up to help maintain my hair and to help with the ends. So far I'm liking this, it helps with reducing frizz, feels a bit softer and makes it easier to comb. However I don't comb my hair when it's wet anymore. I actually let it air dry as is and leave it because it creates a nice wave. If I do comb my hair while it's wet (with a wide tooth comb) my hair pretty much dries straight with a slight wave to it. I find this does have a sweet yet weird smell to it but the weird part disappears just leaving a nice sweet smell. Anyways I'll keep using this and see how it works out in the long run. Overall I recommend this :)
I have dark chestnut neutral tone hair. I used to use clinique's superfine pencil in soft brown which was a taupey brown. But lately I find it a bit too cool for my brows. So I bought the spiked pencil from mac and love it. I find it goes better with my brows and hair. It adds just enough warmth to my brows without looking red and fake. It doesn't have too much red like most brown brow products out there. Just the right amount of warmth and looks really natural when brushed out with a brow brush. Also I find this last longer than my clinique one. So if you have dark chestnut or even almost/black hair I say give this a whirl or try at the mac counter.
Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Dr Mist Body Hygiene Flotation Spray
babieedoll 5/25/2012 3:34:00 PM
This is a mess to use. You spray it and it drips, so you have to rub it in anyway. Takes a while to dry and not good for quick touch ups. This doesn't work at all for me. Doesn't help with odor and barely last long enough to walk out the door. I can't imagine using this on a hot day. I have used natural deodorants that actually work for controlling odor and I prefer natural deos anyways. But for this spray you might as well spray water on your underarms.
I always use organic lip balms: Read the ingredients which were terrible and put me off. Used it once: it was greasy, waxy and not at all moisturizing. I would never buy this.
Concealers -Kevyn Aucoin - The Sensual Skin Enhancer

First I'm around an NC25-30 with warml undertones. I got this in shade #7. This shade is sort of a light yellow undertone shade still neutral-but still warm. Also this probably leans slightly more to an NC25. My face is in the middle of NC25-30. But the shade matches my neck/chest area right on. I bought this to use as a concealer for under my eyes. So I picked a shade that was supposed to be one shade lighter than my skin tone. This matches my neck/chest area perfectly. (My face is 1/2 to 1 shade darker than my neck). But I bought this for concealing average dark circles. This does brighten the eye area but it creases and looks too heay. Frankly no matter how little I used or how I applied it: with a beauty blender, fingers (press and roll) or any other way I tried it just didn't work for me. Its not terrible sheered out with a moisturizer or damp sponge as foundation but I don't use foundation. I prefer LM tinted moisturizer if I'm going to use a base. I guess it just didn't work out for me. -Contains mineral oil -Felt too heavy on the skin no matter if sheered etc. -Creased under eyes even when set with powder. -Made pores appear noticeable when they usually aren't. Somethings may work wonders for others but for some it just doesn't work as well. Thank goodness for returns :)
Treatments -Sukin - Botanical Protein Hair Treatment
babieedoll 4/14/2012 4:13:00 PM
Overall my hair is pretty healthy. But at the time I had dyed it and it was feeling a little dry and brittle in the winter. So I bought this thinking a little deep conditioning and protein would help. It actually did help in making my hair feel stronger but works better in conjunction with a deep moisturizing conditioner. Now that was about a year ago now and my hair is in pretty good condition and most of the dye is gone (just at the tips basically). But again with this weird weather we're having and probably the switch of shampoo had some contributing factors as why my hair felt a tad dry again. (I ran out of my deep conditioner) In any case, I had 3 uses left of this and once again it made my hair smoother and manageable. Now I'm not saying this will work for everyone or for serious damaged hair. But you can always give this a try.
I have combo-oily skin: So far I'm loving this cleanser. It does a great job at removing my makeup. Just have to work a little bit more for eyeliner ( just like any other cleanser out there, I just don't like using an eye makeup remover). It smells citrusy-apple like and isn't too runny or too thick. You also don't' need much to wash your face, which is great :) It doesn't leave my face tight nor overall moisturized but just right. The only thing I find it does sting my eyes a little. But overall this cleanser seems to be working :)
Pressed Powders -Lancome - Translucence Mattifying Silky Pressed Powder
babieedoll 2/7/2012 12:57:00 AM
For reference I am about NC25-NC30ish but more towards NC25. I bought this in Bisque 300 perfect shade. Even though this is a translucent it does make the skin appear even-tone and not a terrible chalky matte but a more natural skin look. The only thing I wish is that its mattifying properties would last a bit longer on me. But overall it's a really beautiful finely milled pressed powder. Highly recommend.
I have oily combination skin but under my eyes It's a bit normal-to-dry. I bought this for my moderate dark circles. However I would not recommend this for the under eyes if you have normal to dry skin. It makes my skin there look bumpy and cakey. I use very little and it just doesn't work for at all. However for random blemishes it doesn't look cakey (on my oily areas) but it seems to not last as long around the nose area (where I have some redness at times). I personally have not bought this but got to try a generous sample. I would not buy this.
