Treatments -Lancome - Genifique
azraelle 1/29/2013 9:56:00 PM
Unfortunately my skin reacted the same as Jazming16 described her situation. First it left me with very silky and smooth skin but then, a few days later, the breakout came. I stopped using this and my skin got back to normal. Then I started using Genifique again to see if this is really responsible for the breakouts and unfortunatelly the breakouts startet again. I got back to my Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex in the meanwhile and I will definitely stay with it. I'm glad I gave Genifique a chance though.

Skincare - Face -Yves Rocher - Moisture Mask
azraelle 12/28/2012 8:28:00 AM
Are we talking about the same mask? My review is about the purple one with grape juice (I uploaded a picture) which is indeed a very decent mask and delivers you an instant moisture dose, softens and evens out the skin. Cheap and effective. The only downside is the fact that it stings a bit when I apply it. It doesn't really irritate my skin or leaves red traces or anything, it's just the fist 30 sec where I feel this slight stinging.

BB Cream -Unlisted Brand - Holika Holika - Petit BB Cream - Clearing
azraelle 12/1/2012 11:41:00 PM
I don't know if this BB cream is clearing as it says. I didn't see any improvements so far and I've been using it for over 4 weeks. Also, I think this is not the best choice if you're looking for a BB cream with a decent oil control. The coverage is light but it can be built up, the shade is perfect for light skin tones. If you're looking for a convenient BB cream with light-medium coverage that doesn't feel "heavy" on your skin and doesn't oxidize you should try this out.

Cleansers -Garnier - Pure Active Exfo-Brusher
azraelle 10/22/2012 11:35:00 AM
Great stuff! Though the cleanser is a bit drying (I follow up with a rich moisturizer after using this), this definitely made an impact on my sensitive skin. Cleared up my skin and it's all glowy. The silicone brush is gentle yet effective and great for sensitive skin BUT be sure to cleanse it thoroughly with hot water and/or sanitize before using otherwise you may end up with break-outs cause of the bacterias who may accumulate on the silicone bristles.

Styling Products -Kerastase - Elixir Ultime
azraelle 5/5/2012 11:28:00 AM
Superb product! Smells good, adds a nice shine and tames my hair down. I always get compliments how shiny and healthy my hair looks and the credit goes definitely to this product. Be careful with elixir ultime though - only a tiny amount is needed. The first time I used it, I ended up with greasy hair cause I used to much of it. A little sidenote: My hairdresser said that Redken has an oil which is basically the same like Elixir Ultime, but costs less. It even smells almost the same. I forgot the name though but if you're looking for something like this for less money, check Redken oils/treatments.

Blush -Estee Lauder - Signature Silky Powder Radiant Peach
azraelle 12/4/2011 6:26:00 PM
Favourite blush! Lovely peachy shade with delicate shimmery particles. No discoball effect, this blush really lives up to its name - it provides a radiant, fresh looking complexion! The texture is soft as always. It doesn't matter which Estée Lauder eyeshadow or blush I tried so far - they all had the same buttery texture which glides on smoothly, no blotchiness, no irritation. As I'm very pale most blushers tend to make me look like a clown even though I don't use much of the product at all so I don't usually use blushers at all. Well... I didn't til I found this. However this is one of the very very few that work for me and now I'm using it almost daily. That doesn't mean that this blusher lacks pigmentation - far from it. It just happens that this can also be worn by those who go for a sheer and subtle finish or/and have a very fair complexion. If you ask me, this can be worn by pretty much everyone, as it flatters cool and warm skintones and the pigmentation is quite good and can always be built up without looking cakey. So all in all: thanks Estée Lauder!

Eyeliner -Kryolan - Kajal Eye Pencil
azraelle 11/25/2011 6:12:00 PM
I only purchased the brown colour so far and I love it! BUT: this is not an eye pencil in my opinion. I only use it for contouring. I draw a few thin lines (similar to the lines a face surgeon is making to mark the area where he's going to make a cut lol) along the jawline//along the cheekbones etc. and blend it in. You can also use it to contour your nose (make it narrow etc.) Since it smudges, it's a dream to blend in. Don't forget to set it with powder.

Gels/Soaps -Logona - Tropic Bubble Bath Coconut & Vanilla
azraelle 11/21/2011 5:55:00 PM
Got this as a present from my "to-be" mother-in-law as she used to work for Logona. Loved the glass bottle, looked quite nice in the bathroom and I liked the heavy feeling of it while holding it. While it smelled quite strong in the bottle, the scent didn't linger for a long time on the skin and wasn't bothersome at all, actually quite... retentive (is that the right word? lol)? Left my skin very soft and nourished. I used the whole bottle and I definitely wont say "no" if she donates me another bottle. =D

Masks -Laneige - Water Sleeping Pack
azraelle 11/21/2011 2:00:00 PM
I'm so impressed by this mask that it's gonna get hard to stay objective *lol* I bought this withouth much expectation as I have very oily and acne prone skin, which breaks out to nearly everything new I try. So you can say I bought it and expected it to break me out. I needed some moisture as I got some dry spots now from the cold weather but my skin itself is still very oily so as you see, it can get complicated =D I like the simple plastic jar very much but I wished they would have included a spatula as I think it's pretty desguisting to dab the fingers in the jar. Not that I don't have enough at home but I wished they would have done it, so I took one lippy of in the package categoy. The mask itself has a gel texture and when applied it feels a bit weird.. it isn't really a stinging or burning.. it is more n the refreshing side, like when you put some mint-based creams on your face. But then on the other hand, the scent of the mask is not refreshing but very calming. It taks about 10 minutes until the masl is fully absorbed (though I tend to have a heavy hand and put a bit more then necessary lol) and my skin looks great in the morning. the pores are refined - barely invisible, the skin is brighter, very firm and very plump and soooo soft, I wanna touch it all the time =) I use this every 2nd night and started using it almost 2 weeks ago without any breakouts, irritations or bumps so far (if the situation should change, I'll edit my review :) ). I'll definitely continue using this mask as it improved my complexion a lot and I also may try some other Laneige products. Also, this shouldn't cause any breakouts on your skin unless you're allergic to silicones.

Lip Gloss -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Lipgloss in Electric Ginger (Shimmer)
azraelle 11/10/2011 7:55:00 PM
This lovely gloss was in a beautycase I got as a present, but as far as I know this retails for somewhere around 20$. The package is beautiful, with golden stripes on the bottom and a golden cap. The only thing I'm missing is that it doesn't feel heavy when you're holding it, which gives that extra-luxurious-something to a package in my opinion. So when it comes to the package, nothing has changed in my opinion as nothing seems to beat the Dior Addict Gloss-range. Colorwise I was a bit turned off at first, as it looked quite beige/bronze and waaaay too shimmery, like a disco-ball and like it was more supposed to be worn by ladies with a warm skin tone, which I haven't. I have no idea why it looks like it's on the rosy side on the picture as it's obviously on the bronzy side when you see it in the package in real. Boy was I wrong. This gloss is more on the neutral side, as it doesn't provide that bronzy color at all. It's more like an almost clear shimmery gloss, which you usually use over your lipstick. It has a tinge of beige and provides a very natural look and makes my lips look bigger. So all in all: very worth trying out if you're looking for some basic high-quality lipgloss and you can also pair it with your lipstick to give it a shimmerboost.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Yogurt Mask
azraelle 9/21/2011 9:20:00 AM
A smple, cheap and effective mask. It cools, calms, brightens and hydrates the skin. I usually use the plain full fat yogurt (3,5% fat or so) and spread it with a flat synthetic foundation brush over my face, leave it on until it dries (15-25min) and wash it off with a washcloth and warm water afterwards. It's very effective when it comes to diminishing redness and as my skin got really flaky and dry since I've started using a BHA treatment, this mask is really a huge help when it comes to regaining my skins hydraditon. No matter if dry, normal, combo or oily, you can't go wrong with this - it's full of benefits!

Treatments -Juju Aquamoist - juju cosmetics aquamoist essence
azraelle 8/21/2011 10:17:00 PM
I've been using this for 2 months now and I'm so in awe. No mineral oil, no fragrance, no colour, no animal ingredients. And there are only 4 ingredients in it: Water, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol and Methylparaben. After cleansing, I spray some Vichy thermal water on my face and then apply this essence. Sometimes I follow with a moisturizer (Avene Cicalfate), sometimes I skip that step. At first this feels a bit sticky... like you're applying glue, but it sinks in completely so there is no residue left and the skin feels so incredibly firm and smooth, I just can't help myself but touching my face all the time. Since I've started using this I noticed that my skin is less oily in the morning and became smoother generally. Also: this essence doesn't seem to be comedogenic at all, as I didn't notice any whiteheads or breakouts. I store the essence in my fridge by the way, to keep it cool and safe. And I love the blue heavy glas bottle. Sure, this isn't any miracle-product, which will erase all your wrinkles, but it sure is a good prevention as it helps your skin maintaining it's moisture and hepls keeping it healthy.

Skincare - Face -Vichy - Thermal Water
azraelle 8/21/2011 9:53:00 PM
This is such a treat for my skin! During the summer, on these humid days, when my skin is thirsty, this is so refreshing. Or during the harsh winter, when my skin gets flaky. I used to take a flight at least once a month a couple of years ago and when you're flying a lot, you should make sure to have a thermal water in your hand luggage as the skin somehow tends to become dehydrated and looks dull, so this is a great boost for such matters. Very calming and non-irritating. I also love to use this in the evening before I put my Juju Aquamoist Hyalronic Acid Essence on. At first I had my doubts as I was asking myself why I'm spening 10 Fr. (about 10$) on water instead of actually just buying a 1$-Evian and put it on my face, but I'm really enjoying using this and will definitely repurchase and also try the Avene thermal water. So basically: Yes, this is just water with a high dossage of calcium, zinc etc. but it is a treat for the skin and it really calms the skin (redness) and before you put tons of moisturizer on your face to treat the dry flakes, try the thermal water instead.

Eye Shadow -Bourjois - Smoky Eyes in 01 Gris Dandy
azraelle 8/13/2011 2:28:00 PM
I bought the green version (08 vert trendy) and though the colours looked lovely in the case and were easy to blend, it drived me bananas when I aplied this the first time, cause I've alreay done my face and there were lots of fallouts so I had to do my face again. Argh! I don't have a hard time with the pimentation except for the lightest shade, which I have to layer twice, which is veeeeery rare as I'm pale like a ghost (below NC15) and pretty much all colours show well on my complexion. Therefore, I can imagine that you'll have to layer this a couple of times to get a decent amount of pigment if you're tanned or just naturally above let's say NC/NW25. What also disappointed me was the fact that the e/s in fact did have some satin finish when applied but somehow they didn't look very vibrant. It was ok, but not what I have expected, so I won't buy this again.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Silk Eye Shadow Wash in Kitten
azraelle 8/13/2011 2:06:00 PM
I got this product as a little extra in a swap and I'm so glad I did. I usually wear it on the top of my lids when I'm wearing a gel eyeliner. It highlights the area so well without being too shimmery. I don't know if I'll repurchase this, as I don't use it every day and thisone is probably going to last me for the next few months or a year and it's nice but nothing outstanding or a must-have-basic but it sure is fun to wear and it has a decent quality and staying power. So one lippy off for the "nothing special"-matter.
