Cleansers -Boscia - smooth cream cleanser

I was disappointed by how this doesn't lather much. Call me old-school but if something doesn't lather my face just doesn't feel clean! This is a different cleanser because you have to apply this to DRY face and work in circular motions. Then you rinse off. This cleanser would be *perfect* for those who have super sensitive skin and who need moisture back in their skin after washing. Or for someone who had a peel and needed something gentle to wash their face with. I felt like it left me with a film (for lack of a better word) on my face after washing and had to wash 2x in a row to get the feeling off. The film is just the cleanser and it's moisturizing properties. I'm sure it took off all my m/u because my acne scars would show as clear as day. I wouldn't repurchase this..only if my combo skin turned into super sensitive skin and if i didnt use s/s or m/u primer.

Cleansers -Boscia - Purifying Cleansing Gel

Before purchasing this i ended up buying the Smooth Cream cleanser mistaking it for this. I prefer the purifying cleanser better because this lathers and the other not so much. On wet face i use half a pump and work it into a lather on my hand and apply in circular motion. This does a really good job of removing all facial m/u (so-so on removing w/p eye makeup but thats okay cause i use boscia's oil cleanser for that) and the pump bottle is sanitary. I get the fresh and squeaky-clean feeling when i use this sans the tightness and dryness on my face. I would definitely re-purchase this and probably will since my bottle is almost completely used up!

Cleansers -Boscia - MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil

First of all, I am on my third bottle. For me to repurchase a facial product that many times is unheard of! With that being said i adore this cleanser. I don't use this all over my face cause it's kinda pricey when I use it up fast so i only use this to remove wp eye m/u. The best way for it to remove everything is for me to use half a pump on dry fingers, apply it directly to my dry eye area (eyes closed of course) and gently rub in circular motion for 5 seconds or so. Then i add some water, rub some more, then wash the rest of my face with my Boscia purifying cleanser. This method removes wp stuff the best. I've tried using it when my whole face was already wet and it took a lot longer for the wp stuff to come off. Try not to rub too harshly into your lashline or else you'll get blurry eyes, which i get occasionally, and at that point i just flush my eyes out with water. This is a definite HG oil remover. I only use this all over my face when I use my LRP s/s to remove all traces of s/s.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Rose Shimmerbrick Shimmer Brick Compact

I'm on the border with this one. BB's model made this look like a great flush on the cheeks. On my ggg nc40 skin it looks more of a light lavendar-rose shade while the rest of the reviewers noticed a rosey flush. I also found the shimmer to be too much and enlarged my pores. I love the individual shades but maybe i'll experiment with layering this over other blushes to see if i can get any use out of it.

Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint - Gilded White

I love this liner; a white that blends out into a golden shimmer. I use it literally everywhere - to line the bottoms of my lids, inner & outer corners of my eyes, on brow bones, above my brows, down the nose, around the nose.. you get the idea. Its great for highlighting but my only gripe is that when I use it on my inner lids it would deposit between my lower lashes. It doesn't last on inner lids that long but it lasts everywhere else. I know i'll be getting Frostlite soon so i'm tryin to use this as much as i can before it becomes forgotten lol.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass in Love Nectar

Love the gloss and picked it up. Came home and realized how close it is to Lancome's JT in Simmer which was a new purchase for me. Love Nectar tones down my pigmented lips and is perfect for everyday wear. I also hate the microglitter in mac l/g which is why I preffer Simmer instead.

Lip Gloss -Scott Barnes - Flossy Glossy lipgloss in Gold Digga
rated 4 of 5
ayce 2/18/2005 2:48:00 AM

This l/g is nice when applied lightly. If applied generously it can look robotic gold. It is a warm bronzey gold that moisturizes and wears well. However, its just not the color I was hoping it would be. Still a great product, but not for me.
UPDATE: Decided to keep this after all & figured I should give it just one.last.chance. And i'm glad I did=) The key to this lipgloss is to mix and match.. which is something i'm not used to when it comes to lip products. I mean, with all those lipgloss and lipstick shades out there you'd think just one of them would flatter you instead of spending more $ on 2 or even 3 products to layer on your lips. Okay anyways, Gold Digga looks pouty and juicey and warm under Juicey l/g and over a nude lipstick, think NARS Honolulu Honey or W&W 531B, its a perfect bronzed-honeycomb combo. Last summer I went for the coral lips, this summer i'd like to try the honeycomb-nude lips.

Lip Gloss -Scott Barnes - Flossy Glossy lipgloss in Juicey

I was hoping this would be a brighter tangerine-ish shade.. similar to the one that J.Lo was wearing when she wore that greek goddess dress (forgot the name of the awards show) but its quite wearable and very subtle. This has a frostyness to it quite similar to the one that UD's XXX Slick Pot in Carney has. I find this to be a pearlized soft tangerine shade that wears well. It doesn't settle into the lines of my lips, like MAC glosses do, and it doesnt create any white goop around my lips either *cough*MAC*cough*. It moisturizes and softens my lips as well.

Bronzers -Scott Barnes - Pressed Bronzing Powder in St. Tropez
rated 4 of 5
ayce 2/18/2005 2:37:00 AM

Alrighty.. this is for fairer ladies. I am nc40/42 and this hardly shows up on me. I can probably use this as a pressed powder if anything. I love the texture of it thought, soft and blendable. I am exchanging this for the other bronzer, Nonchalant i think, but if I was much much lighter this would've been a great bronzer.

Update: This works great for me in the winter=P I can also use this as contouring although it is *very* subtle..which is what I like about it.. but you can still tell it helps contour.

Makeup Brushes -Scott Barnes - Cheek Brush
rated 5 of 5

Wow.. this is superb quality! Extremely soft, angled, and has not shed on me. Did I mention how soft this was? It feels like velvet when brushed onto my cheeks and even if I push up the ends of the bristles harshly against my cheeks it still feels like velvet. Being a blush girl, i'm thinkin i need about 9 more of these!

Concealers -Scott Barnes - Cream Concealer in Dark
rated 5 of 5

I currently use SB's Chestnut creme foundation and somehow thought that this bright yellow orange concealer just wont work with the foundation. I finally got over the shock of why someone would make such a shade but since ive got strong golden undertones figured it would work somehow. When I patted this on i was amazed. It covered my shadows and the orangeness created a light-reflecting effect that brightened up my whole eye area. The concealer hardly creases and it lasts long as well. I am quickly converting into a Scott Barnes fanatic.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Simmer
rated 5 of 5
ayce 2/18/2005 2:15:00 AM

I have pigmented lips and have always looked for a product thatll tone it down. Simmer does exactly this. It appears to be a frosty pink with hints of golden shimmer and wears well. When it does fade away, my pigmented lips are still nonexistant. It tones it down the to perfect wearable nudeish shade.

Loose Powders -Scott Barnes - Translucent
rated 4 of 5
ayce 2/18/2005 2:08:00 AM

Right off the bat the color freaked me out; I am a GGG and this is baby powder white. However, when I apply this lightly over foundation (usually SB's creme foundation) it does not lighten up the foundation at all nor does it have a whitish cast on my face. This minimizes shine by about 85% on me. There is no fragrance and has not broken me out at all. Definite repurchase, but I would also like to try one of the colored loose powders.

Crème -Scott Barnes - creme foundation
rated 5 of 5
ayce 2/18/2005 2:02:00 AM

I *adore* this foundation. So dreamy. I am a GGG,nc42/43 and purchased Chestnut. I was torn on whether I should've gotten Chestnut or Caramel but I am pleased with Chestnut. It is a tad darker than I am, a bit orange as well but since I have very golden undertones it mixes right in and pretty much undetectable. When I don't wear foundation, my skin is naturally bright. And when I do wear foundation it makes my skin look very dull. But not with this product=D. I still get that bright look plus my skin is getting med.-heavy coverage without this looking cakey at all! No matter how much I put on it still looks quite sheer, its just that my blemishes are diminishing away. I love this as a spot concealer as well because it stays put and it actually conceals. I wasn't excited about makeup anymore for soo long, but Scott Barnes' line is makin me all giddy about m/u again. I apply this using either the SB sponge, or regular cosmetic sponges. When I applied with my fingers it gave me a much lighter coverage. I tried saving this foundation for special occassions, but its the only one that actually looks natural on me. I'm definitely sure i'll be repurchasing this.

Lipstick -NARS - Mojave
rated 4 of 5
ayce 2/18/2005 1:45:00 AM

I love this shade. Its a pigmented peachy-bronze with a tiny hint of coral on me. It should've came out last spring imo. Its a bit drying.. like most NARS lipsticks.. but the color brightens up my complexion, GGG here.
