Mascara -MAC - Zoom lash

I don't have much knowledge of different mascaras but I enjoyed this product. I had used Great Lash (didn't like it) and Shiseido (didn't like it) and this was much better and I currently use it daily. It provides great pigmentation and volume. I don't use many coats because it can get very clumpy. However just 1 or 2 and I feel like I have nice thick black lashes. My only complaint is that it isn't waterproof. So I can get little marks on my skin at the end of the day.

Mascara -Shiseido - Perfect Mascara Defining Volume

I received this as a free sample from Sephora for my order and will not be purchasing a full version. Simple reasons, really: it didn't provide volume or length. I put on multiple coats and it didn't look like I was wearing anything. Also it stunk terribly. I hated the smell. In all fairness maybe it was a bad tube? Either way I won't be trying it again - I'll stick with MAC Zoom Lash until I can find something better.

Brows -Smashbox - Brow tech

This was my first time working with brow powder as opposed to pencil and it gave me nice results. My hair is a dirty brown but my eyebrow hair is black so I always hesitate with dark powders - I don't want the brows to be too stark. I used 'brunette' for this powder/wax set and it was a decent enough color match. The only con was the packaging. I hate having the wax right next to the powder. Over time the wax got so much powder in it - it became messy and gross. yuck. I now use Anastasia brow powder - it comes with two colors (darker and lighter) and no wax. I like it much better and will stick with that over Smashbox.
