Lip Gloss -DHC - Liquid Lipcolor

I own Moisture Care Liquid Lipcolor in Bali Sunset. It's very sheer and pairs well with nude lipstick (Clinique Creamy Nude). As a gloss alone, the formula seems dated, as the color collects in liplines and lasts 15 minutes. It's a fancy balm with an olive oil base. There are so many great glosses on the market (EL Pure Color) that this one is now in my gym bag.

Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder in Blush Of Youth

Bought MAC at the outlet for a total of $16.78, so it was a good buy. Do I love this? Well, I like it as an all-over face powder for my NC15-25 complexion and works well with a variety of lipcolors. Has been compared to Benefit's Dandelion, so let's see: Dandelion: Medium sheer. Can be used as blush/brightening powder. Popular best seller. Titanium dioxide near top of list. Hard to build and may look chalky on some skintones. Shimmery-pretty effect. Slightly warmer than MAC-leans peachy pink. Added fragrance is pleasant. Boxed. $28. 0.35oz. Blush of Youth: Very sheer micro-pulverized powder. Can be used as blush/face powder. Titanium dioxide in middle of list. Hard to build and too light for some skintones. Not chalky. Fine shimmer(barely noticeable in pan) produces subtle sheen when buffed. Slightly cooler than Benefit-leans pinky red. No fragrance added. Compact. $15.50. 0.38oz. Note: The color is softer when applied with a #187 brush. Application with a damp sponge improves the color/sheen and effect is like liquid blush(Benetint). Pat on moisturizer over blush. This is my favorite way to apply for a healthy sheer look.

Brows -Chanel - Perfect Brows

Hi...This brow kit is the best ever. I've shopped Sephora, all the great brands in department stores, and drugstores. Chanel was the winner for my brows--lt. brown w/greys and a little blonde too--so many colors that I practically gave up on finding a product that would fill-in brows, cover the greys, define the browline, and look natural. I couldn't tell you how much time I spent driving around town checking out brow makeup until I found this palette. The practical side: The powder is hard. I used a firm brush (Glo Minerals@ Whole Foods) to scrape color. You can mix colors easily or use just one depending on your needs. Also used the darkest color to line my eyes for a quick smokey Chanel look. Palette comes with two brushes and tweezers--I prefer to use my own tools--these will work in a pinch.
