Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eyeliner - All Colors

I have Fluidline in Dipdown and Macroviolet and love them both. The colors are very good and this product stays creamy until the last speck in the pot, which was not my experience with either Stila or Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners. I find gel eyeliners have a less harsh look than liquid, and are easier to apply. I use an angle brush. The big advantage for me for gel over pencil is that it lasts all day on my eyelids, while pencil disappears in a couple of hours (I don’t know where it goes!).

Eyeliner -Stila - Smudge Pot in Bronze

Beautiful color with a little bit of shimmer, lovely soft look. I love gel eyeliners as I find them easier to apply than liquid and they tend to look less harsh, and they last a lot longer on my eyelids than pencil. BUT this product dried out before I got even half way through the pot though I used it daily (so it didn’t have a chance to get old), and was very careful to close the lid tightly. Once it dried it was impossible to apply and flaked badly. Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner lasted better but I have found MAC Fluidline to be the best for not drying out in the pot. No problem at all with MAC.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Painterly

This is my second purchase of Painterly. My first purchase was from a MAC SA recommendation when I complained of eye shadow not lasting through the day. This works as a neutral base (matches my eyelid color almost exactly) so that eye shadows are more ‘true’ to their color and last a lot longer on me. I won’t be without it now.

Polishes -OPI - Bogota Blackberry

This is a deep berry color, but not so dark as to be vampy. On me it’s more of a rosy/wine shade than true red. Has a subtle shimmer that is great for a summer or fall pedi. Looks like this color has been around for years but I just discovered it – it caught my eye among a very large selection of OPI shades on display. Though it is nice enough to buy again, there are so many OPI colors I prefer to have fun trying new ones for my toes.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast 24 HR Mascara

This is the worst of both worlds: hard to remove and still smudges. After a visit to the hair dresser I had just as bad raccoon eyes from the humidity as other mascaras. It is more time consuming get every last bit off than even some waterproof formulas, yet it doesn’t make my lashes any thicker than my other standbys. Won’t repurchase, probably won’t even finish the tube.
