I have tried so many foundations, trying to cover sun damage on my face without looking like I have a mask on. The light deflecting properties of this foundation are great, I would say equal to higher end high def foundations like Smashbox. It covers the darker patches, or not so much covers, but deflects light away. I apply with the ELF angled foundation brush. The Shell color matches me perfectly. It is buildable from medium to full coverage. The Revlon Photo Ready Color Correcting Primer works excellently with this foundation also. I only give it a four because I haven't found anything PERFECT yet, LOL
