Won't be purchasing this again, but only because the color doesn't look great on me. The texture is lovely, and I bet it's lovely with blue eyes. I thought it would be a good everyday neutral, but it looks rusty and orange on me, not a good look with my red hair and green eyes.
Eye Primer -NARS - Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

If you have trouble with the staying power of your shadows, this could be a game-changer. Ever since I got this, it's like I'm rediscovering the shadows that I had tossed aside in my stash because they don't have a good texture. With this, they do!
Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free

I wear Porcelain. Great color match and a lot of product, but I don't love it. It's certainly not a moisturizer substitute, but it's a nice light-coverage wear foundation. Still on the hunt for my hg tinted moisturizer...
I do adore this! Certainly not a blush, but certainly a blush supplement. I purchased this to blend over the highest part of my cheekbones, but find myself using it as an eyeshadow wash if I'm in a rush. A lovely golden/pink highlight, with a cream blush texture.
If you want long, skinny, defined lashes, without clumping, this could be your formula! I wear this each and every day- the only time I stray is for evening looks, in which case I turn to Hypnose or any other volumizing mascara. This is NOT for a dramatic, falsies look.
Lip Gloss -Chanel - Galaxy Glossimer in Constellation

When the makeup artist put Bel Respiro on me, I looked at her like she was crazy. She said, "No wait, I'm not done!" and pulled out Constellation and I looked at her like she was REALLY crazy! Hello- all that glitter?! But it was perfect. Bright and pinky-peachy, but not orange. Somehow not glittery on my lips, but I would have never swatched it due to the glitter in the bottle. I have never worn it alone, but I love the look in tandem with Bel Respiro so much, that I'll probably wear them together until I'm convinced something better has come along.
This is the only lipstick I've actually hit the bottom of before the season ended! It's a very rich copper/rose color that is a treasure in the fall and winter.
I have this in #83 Illusiore, a beautiful eggplant color that brings out my green eyes. I do love the formula- it's velvety and surprisingly applies best with my finger because it warms it up. I actually haven't used the brush, but it's probably perfect to use it as a liner. To be quite honest, I don't wear this often because I fear it's too dramatic as a daytime look for me. I do love to wear it on date night with Orgasm blush and nude lips and tons of mascara.
This IS a lovely shade, and like one of the other reviewers posted, it's not for the shy! I thought it was too bright and pink for me, but then I put Glossimer in Constellation over it and it was a beautiful coral, warm color. I purchased it in the summer but put it away for the fall and winter. It will probably resume its place in my handbag once the weather warms up a bit :)
Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
auburngreen 1/27/2012 12:11:00 AM
Why did I ever stray? I suspect it was because of the price, but you get what you pay for. Fantastic cleanser that takes off all your makeup at night (read:mascara!) but is still gentle for each morning.
I purchased this several years ago when I saw Carmindy use it on WNTW (before she exclusively used Sally Hansen on the show). It definitely brightens up my eye area; I use it on the inner corners and sometimes to brighten up my blue circles under the eye. Another poster mentioned she couldn't sharpen it with her sharpener and I had that problem as well, until a sales associate at Ulta showed me that most sharpeners have a larger hole. If the larger hole still doesn't fit (which mine didn't), ("that's what she said"), there should be a plastic "lip" around the hole that can actually be popped off to fit larger pencils! It's true that you do lose a lot of product sharpening it, so when it gets low I'll sometimes use a concealer brush to apply it, which works well.
Eye Shadow -Chanel - Les 4 Ombres - 74 Nymphea Quad
auburngreen 1/26/2012 11:38:00 PM
My makeup artist used this quad on me for my wedding. I loved the look and purchased it, thinking it would be reserved for special occasions. Nope, I use it all the time! I use the pink as a wash, the brown on the crease and v, and the green on over the iris part of my lid. It's great for during the work-week; in fact, I rarely use it for special occasions after all because it's so clean and understated rather than dramatic. Pigmentation and texture are both fantastic.
Highlighters -NARS - Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross
auburngreen 4/24/2011 3:04:00 AM
Exactly what I was looking for in a highlighter: a little bit of a sheen when it hits the light where I apply it. More golden than cool (I'm very fair), and doesn't look frosty or glittery. Can't live without it!
So happy with this blush! When I ran out of Reflex, I never found anything to replace it until now. This is even better! I feared it would be glittery, but it's not at all. Perfect, lovely, glowing peach.
So far I am loving this for my spring foundation. I wear it in Deauville, which looks orange in the bottle and on my fingers, but somehow looks amazing on my pale skin! I have had tons of compliments. The only drawbacks is that it doesn't have spf and the packaging isn't great- too easy to spill.
