Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorstay Mineral Lipglaze - Forever Raisin
astrid101359 2/27/2011 2:52:00 AM
I have purchased Forever Raisin over and over again. Opaque in colour it is a lovely shade of red with just a hint of brown. It applies wet and within about 15 seconds sets nicely on my lips. I apply it when I am on the run and wearing no other makeup and it brightens up my whole face. A winner.
Cosmo is a pale bronze/pink with silver shimmer to my eye. It is a cool toned shade more than warm as the silver stands out more than the bronze or pink colour. I thought it might be too pale on my NW15 skin but it turns out to be a lovely and sophisticated high shimmer gloss that I am sure would look nice on many skin tones. Love it.
Tinted Moisturizer -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear - Ivory to Fair
astrid101359 12/14/2009 5:55:00 PM
I am really liking the sheerness of this tinted moisturizer as it covers nicely and doesn't look cakey. Of all the tm's I have tried this one is my favorite; the others (Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier) gave too much coverage for my skin. The consistency is runny so go easy when dispensing it. I put it on the back of my hand and then use my fingers to apply. Ivory to Fair is the perfect shade for my NW15 skintone. I wish the packaging had a flip-top instead of a screw on cap but I will definitely repurchase anyway.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I use this to clean my face sometimes but mostly as a moisturizer. A little goes a long way and I warm it in my hands then press it onto my face and neck. Instant softness and no clogging or breakouts on my sensitive skin. For years I spent $$$ on Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil (which is an excellent product btw) but no more. This pampers my skin just as nicely. Will repurchase if I ever use up my bottle.
I have this in shade Warm, which is actually a cool brunette colour. Love how it glides on sheer and is buildable. Comes in a small glass jar and lasts forever; doesn't dry out. 'Warm' is a perfect shade for my hair and colouring; burgundy red hair and ppp/cool-toned complexion. A winner and will buy again if it ever runs out.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

When I want something heavier than a tinted moisturizer I use this in C1 Alabaster, which is a perfect match for my ppp/pink-toned complexion. Applies evenly, no streaking, does not fade and is kind to my sensitive skin. It comes in a bottle and I do wish it came in a tube ... even though my hands are clean I feel like germs are getting into the packaging. Still, this is a great, inexpensive foundation that I will repurchase.
For us very ppp gals, this shade is divine. Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer has a mouse-like consistency that gives light, buildable coverage. A little goes a long way so I imagine this tube will last me a good while. It is very moisturizing and leaves a dewy finish but does not make my skin oily. The thing I don't like is the packaging which is a flip top cap ... that part doesn't bother me; it's that product tends to goop up but easy enough to clean up. This product reminds me of laura mercier's tm in that it *is* moisturizing and coverage is more like a sheer foundation. $8 at Walmart and will repurchase. HG for colour.
Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Trio - Cafe au Lait #105
astrid101359 12/3/2009 6:39:00 PM
This is one of the Eye Enhancers Trio; all shimmer. One ivory shade for highlight, one light grey-taupe for lid and one dark grey-taupe for crease. These are cool-toned shades that blend effortlessly and last all day with a primer without creasing or fading. My eyes are green/gold and this trio of shadows makes them pop. Packaging is cheap plastic with no mirror but for the quality of the product and the inexpensive price I won't complain. Will repurchase. BTW, this reminds me of shimmering sands in a cooled down version (mistake proof and easy blending)
Blush -Hard Candy - Blush Crush Baked Blush #127 Honeymoon
astrid101359 12/3/2009 5:08:00 PM
On my very pale/pink-toned skin this shows up as a subtle peach with minimal shimmer. I thought it would be frosty from the way it looked in the package but it is just a very subtle glow on my face. It is my version of nars orgasm with maybe a bit less colour and way less shimmer. Perfect.
Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Blushing Nude (New for Fall '08)
astrid101359 11/26/2009 11:25:00 AM
Finally I have found my perfect nude lipcolour. On my ppp/cool-toned skin and colorless lips this pink/beige stands out beautifully. Looks great with a smokey eye or with minimal makeup. My hg go-to colour. Already purchased a backup. Listed in the 'Nudes' category of Revlon Superlustrous lipstick.
Liquid -Cover Girl - CG Smoothers All Day Hydrating Makeup
astrid101359 11/26/2009 11:19:00 AM
I like this foundation a lot. It is advertised as a medium to full coverage intensity but on me it is very sheer. I wear shade "Ivory" and I think it is a good dupe for Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Porcelain ... not just in colour but in coverage. The packaging could be better and the tube does tend to leak into the cap if I don't store it upside down (it's meant to stand on it's cover) but that is not a big deal considering the price for what I find to be a quality product. PPP/Cool-toned, NW15. Will repurchase but I see this lasting a long time.
A gorgeous deep burgundy shade; very opaque. I envy those who can pull this rich colour off. Much too intense on my ppp/cool-toned skin. Won't repurchase but still gets 5 stars for excellent quality all the way around.
Such a gorgeous cranberry/garnet shade, nice and rich. And so wrong on my ppp skin. This is just too dark for me and I imagine darker/cool skintones can wear this very well. As with all Nyx Megashines, superb quality.
I may as well have used nail polish remover on my face for what this did to my skin. Dried it out horribly and created a red rash. This reaction was on top of the white bumps caused by Laszlo's active phelityl soap. Beyond a waste of money.
I was clocked as an 11:30 and bought this soap as part of my regime. Horrible reaction to it; broke out in white bumps all over my forehead. It dried my skin out, the soap left a sticky residue. $39 for crap.
