BB Cream -Dr. Jart+ - Blemish Balm Cream (black label)
rated 5 of 5

i LOVE this product! i bought the dr. jart 4 set bb cream sampler from sephora and i definitely loved this one better than any of them. My skin is very oily, but overall no blemishes and smooth. But holy cow, this bb cream made my skin even softer and smoother which i didn't think was possible! After showering and washing my face my skin feels soo amazing and I just want to keep stroking my face even though I shouldn't unless I want to break out haha. Some of the universal bb creams definitely do not work out for me and look grey, but this bb cream blended perfectly onto my light cool asian skin. I use very little product and blend it out with a sigma brush. Overall, i LOVE this product! Definitely going back to buy a full sized bottle!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
rated 1 of 5

This mascara SUCKS. A basic example of a product that has been wayyyyy overhyped. Putting on this mascara doesn't do anything for my lashes. It's so watery that once applied, it ways my lashes down and undoes any curl that was in it. Do not use this unless you want to look like a raccoon after a few hours.

Skincare - Body -Bio Oil - All Products

I use these on my stretch marks on my upper thighs and buttocks that I have had since hitting puberty. Does it fade stretchmarks? For me, not really. I used this everyday immediately after showering for about half a year. But did not notice much improvement. I gave 2 lippies for the fact that it was very moisturizing though, and made my skin feel super soft once absorbed. But it didn't really do what it claimed.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler
rated 5 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:44:00 AM

I LOVE this eyelash curler. Its the only one I have been using for the past 4 years. Literally. I still have the same one, only changing replacement pads every few months. After 4 years of every day use, it still works good, maybe not as great as when I first got it, but still good enough to give a great curl. I have a brand new backup just in case I decide to throw this one out. It gives curl that for me, any other eyelash curler just doesn't compare. Downside, the first one I bought was when it was still available at Sephora. Now, they're only available overseas and online. It's definitely expensive for something like an eyelash curler, but it's worth every dollar.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
rated 3 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:40:00 AM

I've used this scrub about every 2 days for the past few years. It's done the job and has definitely exfoliated well. However, I'm starting to be concerned that the huge exfoliating particles might be just a little too rough on the skin. Micro-scarring? It's a good product and makes your skin feel really soft after use, but I'm not quite sure if its the best for the skin in the long run. You might want to look into finer-textured exfoliating scrubs, such as Clinique's.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
rated 4 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:35:00 AM

This is my every day primer. I use this every day, usually just under eyeliner. I have extremely oily lids and this extra step is necessary to help even waterproof eyeliners stay better on my lids. For eyeshadow, it is good as well. For the price, you really cannot complain. If you want more vibrant eyeshadow, definitely go with UDPP. But this ELF primer does ~8/10 of the same job for 1/20 of the price. Definitely a staple in my everyday makeup.

Misc Beauty Tools -Olay - Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System
rated 5 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:30:00 AM

I love this product! I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and I've definitely noticed a difference in the smoothness and suppleness of my skin. My chin used to have more problems than the rest of my face, being a little more rough than other places. Also, because I have oily skin, the pores on my nose get clogged quite frequently. I'd had to use a pore strip every week to clean out the pores on my nose. However, with use of this product, both of these problems have gone away completely. My chin is now as soft and supple as my cheeks. I used a pore strip the other day for the first time in about 2 and a half weeks and there wasn't nearly as much gunk as before. I use it with my other cleansers, and it works just as well with them too. I only use it once a day, or every other day, to wash my face and take off the day's makeup before I go to bed. I use it at the very lowest speed as to not over exfoliate, which it DOES do. Although it's claimed to be a cleanser, it does physically exfoliate. I would recommend to only use this once a day instead of twice to avoid over exfoliating. All in all, I love this product it has made my skin even more smooth than before and soft to the touch. I will be purchasing one for my mom as a gift, as well!

Treatments -Clean & Clear - Persagel 10
rated 4 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:23:00 AM

This has been the most effective spot treatment I have used. For reference, I have used Acne Free's spot treatment as well as Clean and Clear's salicylic acid spot treatment. I feel like this one has been the most effective to prevent occasional blemishes. I rub this in after my toner. My only concern and dislike for this product that after application, it gets extremely dry and chalky. A followup of moisturizer is definitely necessary. But this is an effective acne spot treatment if you get very occasional tiny blemishes like I do. I can't testify for bigger pimples or cystic acne, but for me, it's great.

Cleansers -Olay - Dual Action Cleanser + Pore Minimizing Scrub 2 in 1 Foaming Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:19:00 AM

This cleanser has made me very happy seeing as that I have gone through about 4 bottles of these so far. I don't know about the Pore Minimizing claim it has, seeing as that I haven't really noticed any shortage of oil or tightened pores after use. It does, however, make my skin feel really nice and clean after use. I love the smell of this. I'll either use this product with either just my hands, after an exfoliating scrub, with my olay cleansing brush, or with a scrubbing pad. In all 4 cases, I love the way it cleans my skin. I alternate this with my clean and clear morning cleansers and neutrogena acne scrub. But this is definitely my go to facial cleanser.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 1 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:15:00 AM

Is it possible for a cleanser to be TOO gentle? If so, I think this was the problem with this cleanser for me. After hearing about all the raving reviews of this cleanser, I decided to purchase it. However after about a week of daily use, I broke out with a bumpy dry rash on my chin and cheek areas. I have super oily skin, so I hypothesized that this cleanser was not cleansing the dirt off my skin well enough, causing my skin to get clogged and irritated. I switched back to my regular Olay cleanser and the irritation went away. Will not be reusing.

Moisturizers -Olay - Hydrating Beauty Fluid
rated 5 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:11:00 AM

I love this moisturizer! I use it daily, at night after washing my face, applying toner, and applying eye cream. Because I have really oily skin, I feel like this moisturizer is light enough not to feel greasy at all but hydrating enough for my skin to feel smooth and supple. I also love the smell. It's great and will continue to be a staple in my beauty regimen.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Anti Shine Compact
rated 3 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:07:00 AM

For me, this would be a good touch up during the day for my oily skin after already using Smashbox anti-shine. For me, it wouldn't be able to control oil throughout the day alone, so I use it more for touch ups. It definitely does the job. My only complaint is that the gel inside gets "dirty" pretty quickly - mostly with visible fibers from the sponge. But this doesn't seem to affect the mattifying properties. It's a good product, a good compact for oily skinned girls like me to keep in their purses.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Anti - Shine (tube)
rated 4 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 7:04:00 AM

This is another product I have to use every day. I have extremely oily skin so this product is a must. There definitely is a learning curve to this product. And it does get chalky sometimes, which is why I took off a lippy. But still, this is a staple in my regimen. I use this after my bb cream and compact powder. I used a tiny amount, maybe 1/4 of a pea or less, for my nose, for each cheek, and my forehead. You MUST pat this product on, not rub it. And right when you start patting, you must distribute this as evenly as possible all over the area you are applying it to, or else it will appear chalky if there is a even a little bit more product in one "pat" than another. Even after 4 years of using this, a a few white spots still appear here and there. Also, having used this product for 4 years, I have found that wearing a moisturizer w/ spf will make getting chalky spots easier for some reason. To avoid chalky spots, just remember to use as little product as possible, and pat pat pat! Although my skin is so oily that it does melt thru this product in about 6-8 hours, it is the best product I have found that I have had any success with to control the oil on my face. Comparable, is Urban Decay's De-Slick in a Tube. It's about the same price, but the consistency is just a little bit more fluid, which might make it easier to apply evenly. Even so, the mattifying power of this one is definitely the best I have found.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes
rated 5 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 6:56:00 AM

This is my go to mascara. I've tried over 20+ brands of mascara, ranging from drugstore to high end. And about 4 years ago, this is the mascara I have settled on and I have never looked back. This has been the only mascara I have purchased regularly for the past 4 years. When seeking out the perfect mascara, the main concern I had was staying power. I have extremely oily skin - all over - so with most mascaras, it would smudge a lot by the end of the day. However, the pain of washing off waterproof mascara everyday was something I wanted to avoid. Then, I discovered these beauty tubes. They have stayed out through tears, without so much a smudge. And last entire days into nights. And when you splash your face twice, they start to come off when you kind of rub them. I rarely use the white end, mostly because I am lazy, but using the white primer does add a bit of extra length. Admittedly, this mascara isn't great for curl or volume, but it is great for length. And it's good, no great, for me. I doubt I will find another everyday mascara that has made me as happy as this one.

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream SPF 25 PA++
rated 4 of 5
asianl0vex 8/25/2012 6:50:00 AM

Missha just has such good bb creams compared to all of the other 2 brands I have tried (4 bb's from skin79 and the smashbox bb). Although I do prefer Missha's Perfect Cover bb cream for the higher SPF, this one works just as well too. I have taken off 1 lippy just because the spf is lower and it is more expensive compared to Missha's Perfect Cover which is not only cheaper but has a higher spf. The more watery consistency of this product can be good and bad: it provides a lightweight feel for oily skins such as mine but might not provide as much coverage as some may want. For me, coverage isn't my main concern, so it's not a problem for me. I am somewhat put off by the almost water like consistency of this bb cream and would prefer it to be more "thick" like Missha's Perfect Cover. However, all in all, it is a great product. I would say these are for the people who would want to perfect and smooth already smooth skin, as it is not great for coverage.
