Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I have tried a few primers before but gave up as they did nothing for me. I saw this in Boots recently and just grabbed it. The pot is tiny, but once I started using it, I found that you need the smallest amount to cover your face, The second i smoothed this onto my skin, I could see that my pores were filled in and my skin looked so matte. My foundation glided over the primer and lasted all day, which is extremely unusual for me. After a couple of hours I really checked my face and although a little shine was coming throug my foundation was still on smooth and not patchy which made me sooooo happy!!

Treatments -Redken - Extreme Anti Snap [REFORMULATED]
ashajones 3/29/2010 7:38:00 PM
This product is exremely underated and it's sad, as used for the purpose this product is a dream. Anti- snap is not meant to be a leave in conditioner or a heat protectant, it is a protein based treatment that stops weak hair from breaking. Hair needs protein to remain strong, the opposite of this is protein overload which will result in drier, frizzy hair, I know as this once was me. Redken do not provide adequate instructions on how to use this product and so as usual i got carried away and used this on my hair every day. After researching for hours on end about protein and this particular product I have realised that it only needs to be used every 5-8 washes. This for me is about every 2 weeks. Ever since I found this out, using it less has resulted in my hair becoming stronger, and now it rarley snaps off like it used to. I apply about 2 pumps onto 2/3 of the bottom of my hair and comb it through. It smells gorgeous and the smell lasts for a long time. I then spray a light leave in conditioner all over my hair to balance the protein/moisturiser, knowing that it doesnt interfere with the treatment. Used properly, this treatment does what it says on the tin, it's just a shame people disregard this product becuase of redkens lack of product advice

Crème -BeneFit Cosmetics - Some Kind-A Gorgeous
ashajones 3/29/2010 7:29:00 PM
People with fairly clear normal skin would really love this product. Unfortunatley I don't have that kind of skin. This product can't really be described as a foundation as it is so sheer and didn't cover any of my pores or small spots and acne scars. I paid 20 pounds for this and i would not buy this again. I have barely used it and it has nearly ran out!! The only time I would use it if i was on holiday and wanted really i light coverage. The texture of the cream felt really oily on my skin and had a horrible smell to it.It didn't last very long on my skin, but I think that had a lot to do with my face being oily.

Moisturizers -Soap and Glory - Glow Job - Daily Radiance Moisture Lotion
ashajones 3/29/2010 7:23:00 PM
I go through stages of using glow job as my normal day moistuiser and one when i feel i need a bit of colour. As i suffer from oily skin i try not to use it all the time as although it doesn't make it greasier, it's definately not mattifying. The tiny beads in the moisturiser burst to give a gorgeous tan colour, as opposed to orange which looks so stupid on my fair skin. The one tip I must give when using this is to make sure you burst all the beads and blend them well. The beads don't blend into skin that easily but once they have been IMO they give a really good colour boost to the skin which looks nice without foundation or underneath it.

Masks -Soap and Glory - The Fab Pore Facial Peel
ashajones 3/29/2010 7:11:00 PM
I suffer from failry large clogged pores and recently have been trying everything to get clearer smoother skin. I picked up this product as I am a huge fan of other soap and glory products. The tub looks really small and i was aprehensive that I wouldn't get a lot of use out of it,,,but boy was I wrong. The cream is very thick with small beads that burst onto your skin. I only use a tiny amount that spreads across my entire face. The packet says to use a grape size amount but i use about half of this and still get full coverage. After leaving on the product for 15 minutes as it states, i washed it of with a flannel, as it is quite stubborn to remove.Immediately looking at my pores, I could tell that this product had worked. My skin felt really smooth and even in harsh daylight my pores were tiny. I found that my make up looked alot more even and smoother after using this. Soap and glory say to use this about 2-3 times a week and i couldn't agree more. I often use this before a night out as my make up lasts longer and my skin looks a lot better in photo's. I'm still unsure that it acts as a face mask and helps clear skin, but it definately hasn't made it spottier or greasier, although I still try to use a regular face mask once a week to help with my spots.
