In the pan, Patina is absolutely the most beautiful thing I ever set my eyes on. It is a light-medium brown with some gold and slight green-ness in it and slight pink duochrome. It looks like someone dug up a mysterious metallic material from an ancient civilization. BUT, I can never get this gorgeousness to show up on my lid! It just looks like a pale dirty brown and honestly, a little bit chalky! Which is a shame because I have seen it look so pretty on paler people like pixiwoo's on youtube. also when I swatch on my fingertip it looks nice, but then again my fingertips are lighter than my eyelides I still don't regret buying it, because I am in the hopes that I will find a way to work with and really I just enjoy looking at it :)
Vex has a beautiful subtle pink and green duochrome in a pale grey, almost white base. on my olive/tan eyelids, the green duochrome doesn't show up very well, but it shows when you look at the pan in a different angle. It has nice texture and pigmentation and lasting power is decent like a standard quality MAC eyeshadow. I think for my coloring, I really like to use it as an inner corner highlight and occasionally I wear just this all over lid with black liner and it looks really pretty. I if you want to only buy a select few eyeshadows from MAC I would recommend this one as it is diffcult to find something similar.
smells like skunk. and a little cigarette smoke? but mostly skunk.
So, I was really excited to to try this particular shade and ordered it off of ulta. My excitement prevailed when i first opened it and swatched it on my arm...it was very intense and pretty. However when I put in on my eyelid(with MAC 217), Disappointment started to creep in. All the gorgeous plum-ness seemed to disappear, and all i was left with was a sort of a sootyness, which was quite dark, but the intensity of the COLOR was not there, hope that makes some sense. Then i realized, that they work much better if you use your fingers..but for a shade so dark, using fingers is just not very practical.... also, I used it to line my upper lash line, and again the color payoff was disappointing, and it was gone by the end of 2 hours!! I don't know what I am doing wrong, but for now, this is not working for me as great as I was hoping. If that changes, I will update this post.
I gave it 3 stars mainly for the beautiful color. But I am quite dissatisfied with the formula. It definitely takes a lot of practice to get the hang of doing a decent job with this polish. I think after 2 coats you can get rid of the streakiness, but there's is still something left to be desired. Idk, I can get it to work decent enough, but i will try to find a dupe which has a better fomula so i will not repurchase this. And essie brushes! my gosh cant you put in a decent brush in it for 8 dollars, essie???

pretty good wipes. Remove most of my makeup. but the packaging they come in, they dry out a little bit, as the flap doesn't stick completely.
Seriously? are you serious? for 1.99! I just CAN'T stop being amazed at how good this is! just go and get it, i dont even want to say anything more. yeah. go and buy this eyeshadow. period.

doesn't look as much plum on me as a dark brown, but i still like it. the shimmers are really negligible, which i am ok with. i gave it 4 stars though and not 5 because i think it doesn't last as long as the black one. But I have been repurchasing for years now and will keep doing so in the future..
The quality of the blush is pretty good. A lot of pale people seem to like this for countouring and i can understand why. is extremely cool toned and will not pull muddy on pale skintones. but if you're tan, this will appear a little grey on you. I am indian w/ yellowish tan skin and it looks quite purple-grey on me.
the color is really pretty..it a peachy color with gold shimmers. its a nice product to wear alone or as a base. However, i do find that it makes my lids oily after wearing for about 4-5 hours. I don;t think thats quit bad and to b fair my lids are quite oily to begin with... I do recommend this and I think its quite worth the 17.50 that i spent on it.
OMG this is sooo beautiful! its so beautiful I just want to revel in its beauty and not even talk about the technical details! but i will being the good reviewer that I am... So, This is a really pale gold shimmery shadow..yeah that about sums up the color. it is quite shimmery, but since the shimmer is so fine, it looks soo pretty and not at all trashy...it lasts quite long..you can wear it alone or as a base for eyeshadow..it works really well for both. the formula is very smooth. I think its a similar product to mac paintpot, but i do feel the shimmer is finer and prettier... cant wait to try the other colors (just heard my wallet wailing!)

I'm sorry, but I hate this! the brush thing is just pointless and SO annoying! to b fair, the formula is not bad. It does last quite long...(it's a bitch to take off, thats how i know), But, its not as black and opaque as you would like.I also tried using another liner brush, and while that worked better, it definitely did not glide on very easily on my lashline. OK so maybe this is not the worst liner in the world, but honestly, I don't know why you would buy this as you can get a more sensible product in the opposite aisle from maybelline or loreal...anyways...yeah my 8 bucks went down the drain hence the scathing review.
This is such a good quality lipstick! The formula is just amaaazing and I find it a much richer texture than my MAC lipsticks. The creamy, satiny finish shows up nicely on the lips (it has no shimmer, but it gives an ever so slight glossiness...i'd say its more like a velvety finish). it has quite an opaque, full coverage and amazing pigmentation. I don't want to go into a color description because i know i'll suck at it, but all I will say is its a great color for fall and I feel this color would flatter pretty much any skin tone... It has a decent lasting power, but I do feel it would be little better....on me it lasts about 3 hours w/o eating drinking, which is actually pretty decent for me...while fading, it does leave a slight stain which will last much longer and it actually looks like a really pretty and healthy flush of color.... I recommend this lipstick to EVERYONE..I dont care who you are...go buy this... PS: it also work really nicely as a blush albeit with a lesser staying power....
I am one of the people who disagree with the hype on this eyeshadow. I admire the colour, it very nice, but not necessarily something I would want to put on my eye...you know...like I wouldn't mind this color on say a car or a door knob, even a nailpolish, but not on my eyes. My problem with this eyeshadow is that it just doesnt look pretty on me! It just looks like a silver taupe with frost...the purple undertones make my eyes look tired...Even in pictures I see online, it really does not look flattering on most people, even though they say they love it... The product quality, texture is beautiful though and I think this shadow would look good on people with very pale skin w pink undertones. I really do hope I find a way to make it work for me... EDIT: I found this works better over estee lauder cream eyeshadow in golden sand. may be it tones down the purpleness a bit?
I have been using this foundation almost everyday for the last couple of months...when I first started using this, i broke out a little bit with tiny bumps on my forehead...so it went to the back of my drawer as wasted 10 something dollars. then for some reason i decided to give this a try and the breakouts became much less severe and now i dont have any problem with breakouts with this anymore. OK, with that little piece of history out of the way, I want to say this is a pretty good foundation...it gives a nice smooth finish, like the name, and a little dewy glow etc...i dont think its too oily for me and I have normal-combination skin... I gave it 4 and not 5 because I do wish it would last longer...i think it lasts about 4-5 hours, but fades away somehwere after that. oh and also, i think you can get away with using pretty much any brush with this. I use either the elf studio kabuki or the sigma (big powder brush dont remember name). you can also use a cosmetic sponge and it works really nicely as well...
