Cleansers -Neutrogena - Facial Cleansing Bar

I have used this product off and on for MANY years. I switched to the liquid form for quite some time but the orginal version has been discontinued. This is a great, basic cleansing bar. I love the scent of it, it just smells so fresh and clean to me, it's probably somewhat of a "comfort scent" to me since I've used it for so long. This is really good for use in our very hot and humid summers. It cleanses well. I keep it in my medicine chest but don't use it that often in the winter when my face tends to be drier.

Lotions/ Creams -eos - Everyday Hand Lotion

My hands had been feeling dry while I was out one day. I had switched purses and didn't have any lotion with me. I picked this up on a whim at the checkout. First, the packaging caught my eye and second, I already use and like the EOS lips balms so I thought I'd try it. This is a very nice, light lotion. It goes on easily and is absorbed quickly. It took care of my dry feeling hands right away. This isn't something that I'd rely on to totally moisturize my skin, especially not overnight, but to keep in my purse for occasional use, it is great. I will buy it again.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Colgate Optic White

I've been using Crest 3D White for quite some time and love it...I just happened to see the Colgate Optic White on sale and I had a coupon so I thought I'd give it a try. I sure was surprised the first time I tried it when it felt warm as I brushed my teeth! I thought I was crazy! I didn't mention it to anyone in my family and finally, within the week, my husband and daughter both asked me what was up with the hot toothpaste!! Yay, it wasn't just me! I really didn't like the warm feeling at all. I tried to continue, I wanted to see if it would be any good at whitening. I did notice my teeth becoming sensitive, which doesn't usually happen with just whitening toothpaste so I stopped using it and used Pronamel for a while. I hate to waste anything so I've recently been using a small strip of this toothpaste on my brush along with another strip of Crest 3D White on top of it and that lessens the warming effect. I definitely will not repurchase this.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleaner

I received a sample of this cleanser in my Target Beauty Bag. I liked it right away. It really seems to brighten and smooth out my face. It hasn't dried it out at all, nor has it caused any breakouts. I use it once a day, in the morning. I don't need much, probably not even a full pump. I've already purchased the regular size bottle. One thing I don't like about the packaging is you're suppose to shake before use, yet it's in a pump bottle. I'm not crazy about the scent, but it doesn't linger.

Cleansers -Olay - Wet Cleansing Cloths - normal

I broke my left arm a few weeks ago and was having trouble washing my face. I couldn't handle the washcloth, faucet and bottle of face wash easily. I remembered cleaning cloths and asked my daughter to pick up any kind she could find, as long as they were for normal skin. She came home with these from Olay. I've used cleansing cloths before and they either didn't cleanse well enough or they left my skin dry or oily. I didn't really have a choice now so I tried them. I have these in a foil package with a recloseable flap. I don't know if they come any other way and this is a refill or what, I haven't looked in a store. I am so impressed! I will definitely continue using these even after my arm heals. These wipes are soft enough that I don't fear any damage, yet strong enough to feel like they're really cleansing my skin. They have a light, fresh scent, not overpowering at all. They leave my face feeling clean, soft and moisturized. They have not broken my face out at all. I have not used them to remove makeup as I'm not able to apply any right now, but I'd bet they would do a good job at that also. When I am able to use them for this, I will edit my review.

Other -Noxzema - Skin Fitness Bikini Size Disposable Razors

Worst razor I've ever used! The handles are too small to hold onto, especially when wet. It takes at least 4 or 5 passes to remove hair, which means you have to reapply your shaving cream over and over. These left me with the worst razor bumps I've ever had! I can not recommend these to anyone and definitely will not buy again, in fact, I threw out what I had!

I only have a sample of this right now but I will definitely be buying a bottle as soon as I can!
I have to admit I was drawn by the silly name. I was so impressed when I tried it, I absolutely LOVE this scent! It's so different from anything else I already have or have smelled at the perfume counter! It's light but makes a statement at the same time. I've gotten numerous compliments when I've worn this.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Naturals Lipbalm

I received this in my sample bag from Target. I tried it right away since my lips had been sore and dry after some dental work I'd had done.
I'm amazed at how smoothing and moisturizing this lip balm is! It offered relief quickly. You can tell it's actually soaking in and not just sitting on top of your lips. It's got a slight minty smell but doesn't taste minty or tingly like other lip balms with mint in them. Even after it wears off, my lips still felt nicely moisturized.
I need to buy a few more tubes so I can stop carrying this one around with me all around the time!

Conditioner -L'Oreal - EverSleek Intense Smooth Conditioner

As much as I love the EverPure and EverStrong lines, I thought I'd try this as well.
At first this conditioner seemed great! It distributed easily in my hair, seemed rich, rinsed out easily, my hair was easy to comb through and looked nice when it dried. The scent was more like every other drugstore product and not the great herbal scent of the other Ever- products so that was a disappointment but I could deal with that for performance.
I used this shampoo and the matching conditioner four times in a row, every other day, as usual. By the third time, my hair started feeling coated. By the fourth time, the texture of my hair looked totally different than ever before!! I had an appointment to get my hair cut anyway and my stylist was just floored at how bad it looked! Dry, wiry, unmanageable, etc. We went through all the possibilities - medications, styling, new products...everything lead to only one thing, the EverSleek shampoo and conditioner!
I clarified and deep conditioned twice then only CO washed followed by my Creme de Coco masque for the next week. Finally, my hair is starting to look like it usually does!
For this reason, I cannot recommend this shampoo and conditioner at all.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverSleek Intense Smoothing Shampoo

Shampoo -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo

My DD received this new product from Self magazine to review. Since my hair is totally different than hers, I wanted to give it a try.
The packaging is the same curved shape of other Organix products, and is blue. The scent is the same boring, fake, basic drugstore product type scent, nothing special at all. It lathers very well, almost too well, you definitely don't have to use much.
While the shampoo feels rich while you're using it, and rinses easily, it left my hair feeling stripped to the point that it squeaked while I was running my hands through it to rinse it out.
I used one of my most moisturizing conditioners with this because of the stripped feeling and it didn't do much good. My hair was still hard to comb through. Upon drying, my hair was frizzy and had no body.
I definitely would not purchase this product.

Shampoo -Aquage - Biomega Silk shampoo

My DD also received this new shampoo from Self magazine to review, along with the Moisture version.
This version has a lot of the same qualities as the Moisture shampoo. The packaging is the same, pretty blue floral pattern with a push top cap that makes it easy to open and close in the shower. The scent is the same; a light, fresh scent. It lathers up nicely for a sulfate free shampoo. It does not leave my hair feeling stripped like some sulfate free shampoos can.
My hair did not feel quite as nicely moisturized as the Moisture version did. My hair was not as easy to comb through either. I wish they had sent the matching conditioner with this.
I would probably not buy this version when it is released for sale.

Shampoo -Aquage - Biomega Moisture shampoo

DD received this new shampoo from Self magainze to review. Considering she and I have two different types of hair, I decided to try it too.
First of all, the bottle itself will catch people's eyes, it's pretty with its blue flowery design. The cap is a push top that makes it easy to open and close with wet hands in the shower.
The scent is a light, fresh scent and is very nice. For sulfate free, it lathers very well with just a small amount of product. It rinses out easily while leaving the hair feeling moisturized, not stripped, and not coated. The only silicone in this is amodimethicone, which does not build up.
I apply conditioner to the length of my hair only. The parts of my hair that did not have conditioner on them were soft, smooth and shiny after using this product. I would love to try the matching conditioner!
I will probably buy this shampoo when it becomes available.

Lotions/ Creams -OPI - Avojuice

I got a gift of two of these lotions from a friend and instantly fell in love with them!
These are so much better than Bath and Body Works lotions for scent and performance. They are easy to apply and absorb completely making them excellent to use during the day while working.
The scents are strong enough to smell but are not overpowering at all. They make my hands soft and smooth.
I wouldn't rely on these to moisturize my hands overnight, I need thicker, richer creams for that, but they are great for use during the day. I have them in Winter Huckleberry which is a light, fresh scent and in Caramel Cream which smells exactly like that without being obnoxious.
I will soon be buying more scents in full size bottles.

Shampoo -TiGi - Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo

My friend gave me a sample of this and I almost didn't try it until I read on the bottle that it's not just for blonde hair.
I am pleasantly surprised at how good this shampoo is. I don't need much of this at all. It rinses easily from my hair and doesn't leave it feeling stripped or coated. It does have a fair amount of protein in it so it's not for frequent use. I've been using it maybe once every other week or so and it's been perfectly fine, not drying in the least. It has not faded my color at all.
I've already bought my own full size bottle and will continue to use and purchase it.
