Hair -L'Oreal - Elnett Hairspray

L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray A BIG FAT ZERO I was really excited to get the famous L'Oreal hairspray from my sister. I've heard amazing reviews for this product and thought I had finally found something that would hold my stubborn hair. The hairspray claims to provide amazing hold while leaving hair touchable and soft. Supposedly, hair dressers would smuggle the hairspray into the U.S. in their luggage before the product was officially allowed on store shelves or exported. I had several varieties of the hairspray like one meant for colored hair, etc. They all smelled absolutely awful and really horrid though. Oh my goodness, I can't even describe it. I'm not even that sensitive to scents usually but I could not bear L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray. The fragrance gave me the worst headache almost instantly after application. I almost wanted to throw up. I'm not exaggerating, it bothered me that much. I tried again and had the same disastrous results. The hair spray did not hold well for me either. The hairspray cans went in the garbage to be with other smelly things. I am really glad I did not have to buy the hairspray because it's pricey ($16 at drugstores) and it would have been a total waste of money. If you do not like products with strong fragrances, definitely stay away from L'Oreal Elnett Hairspray. There are cheaper and better hair styling products out there. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Revision Teamine

Teamine did not work for my dark under eye circles at all. It also claims to smooth away wrinkles, it did nothing for my under eye creases. It's expensive, I bought mine on ebay for $60. It's sold in a jar so you have to keep dipping your finger in it, gross. What can I say? I finished an entire jar, used twice everyday for a year and had zero results. It has no scent, a good thing, and it does not sting if you get it in your eye by accident. I would not try this product again because it's expensive and it does not work for me. I'm sure there are no real products that diminish dark circles but I'll keep looking and you should too (or at least look past this product)!

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Sensitive Skin Creme

I love this product, the skin board here recommends it all the time. It's about $12 at my local Longs Drugs and it's sold in a jar form, not the most sanitary packaging IMO. It's a thick butter yellow cream (sort of smells like butter too) but it's not greasy at all! I'll use a lot of product when my skin is flaky and I have no breakouts from using it. It's a great product because it provides hydration for the skin without being overly heavy and greasy, my sister is even using it now. I'll continue to buy this until I find something better. On the downside, I don't like it does anything for wrinkles or has any effective anti-aging properties. You will also need to use separate sun screen but I do that anyways... It's worth a try and if you don't like it, use it as a ultra-hydrating neck cream. I like this so much that I'm almost done with a whole jar in three months!

Treatments (Eye) -100 Percent Pure - Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream

I am so torn about this eye cream. I love that it's all natural. I feel really good about putting it around my delicate eye area because of that. It also smells amazing, vanilla cupcakes come to mind every time I use it. The reason I'm conflicted is that the eye cream does not seem to do much. It helps with morning puffiness a little, but it's not moisturizing enough for my dry under eye skin. I've been using it faithfully (twice a day) for a month and have yet to see any dark circle reduction. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that I just need to use the cream longer ( I will update if anything changes) I'm really like the eye cream though because of it's natural composition, smell, awesome glass pump bottle, and its price ($19). It's also huge for an eye cream. It is sold in a 1 oz bottle as opposed to just a half an oz (eye cream standard).

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O

I love my Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil A/O. I hesitated for so long before buying this product. I did a lot of reading and roamed the internet for reviews. I'm so happy that I took the plunge though. The price is high ($72) but the the bottle will last for a long time because I only need one pump for my entire face. I used DHC Deep Cleansing Oil before and let me tell you, Shu Uemura's oil is way better. My skin felt very dried out after using DHC and DHC smelled like my cooking oil. With Shu Uemura's oil, my skin feels soft and supple. The oil has a very pleasant cucumber scent. I have not broken out from the mineral oil. My skin is not left with residue after washing. It just melts away my concealer and waterproof sunscreen. The bottle has a lock feature (DHC does not) so it's great for traveling too. It's not a necessary product by any means but it feels like I'm treating myself every time I use it.
