Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Extra Spf 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm
rated 2 of 5

I bought this product years ago...I did not enjoy it..I wanted some coverage but not anything too heavy...well this product made my combination skin feel rather greasy and shiny....there was little to no coverage, and it costs a lot...There are a lot of better tinted moisturizers on the market to get...I now use Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer and it works great! Much better! Save your money and don't get this product.

Highlighters -E.L.F. - Shimmering Facial Whip - Toasted
rated 4 of 5
annoasis 1/30/2013 2:37:00 PM

I bought this last summer and it was definitely was one of my 'go to' everyday worn products of summer...I thought the colour would be too dark, but it went on my medium skin beautifully...the facial whip offers a nice glow without too much colour...it's best used as a highlighter on the cheekbones...However I also used it as an all over eyeshadow and in the corner of my eyes. It worked great because it really brightened my eyes...it's a little too glowy for what I'm comfortable with during winter, but come spring, I'm cracking it out again!

Blush -E.L.F. - Studio Blush - Pink Passion
rated 4 of 5

Usually I stay away from pink blushes, especially bright ones as I dont really tend to like how the look with my medium, warm undertoned skin...But since this blush is only $3, I thought, worth a shot! This blush is pigmented and surprisingly looks great on my skin! I tend to be drawn more to bronze or warm/peach coloured blushes...This is one of the few pink blushes that actually compliments my skintone...It gives me a 'fresh' look, definitely use a light hand when applying...For those of you who tend to prefer peach/bronzy blushes, this one is definitely worth a shot...This is my 'go to' pink blush...Would definitely repurchase,.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Fresh Start Dry Shampoo for Oily/Straight to Normal Hair
rated 1 of 5
annoasis 1/21/2013 1:14:00 PM

So this is the first dry shampoo I've ever tried and it did NOTHING that it was meant to do...I like to wash my hair every second day, so I thought this would be the perfect product to use on my slightly oily hair the day it doesnt get washed...WrONG! It made my hair even more oily and left a horrid smell behind! yuk! I've heard a lot of good things about Batiste dry shampoo so I'm hoping that will deliver with its promises, but I would NOT repurchase this product! What a waste! I'm better off leaving my hair the way it is...

Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Full Cover Concealer
rated 2 of 5

I went into Sephora wanting to buy the Laura Mercier conceal for dark circles, but they were out of my colour. The Sephora rep told me to try the MakeUpForever concealer. Well I was definitely not sold! I explained to her that the skin under my eyes is dry and I needed something that won't look patchy or cakey on my skin, so she mixed the concealer with some MUF eye primer and applied. It STILL looked cakey, it definitely concealed the dark circles, but it looked dry and cakey- definitely a no no! I wore it for the rest of the day and was NOT happy! I obviously opted not to purchase this product since I can use my drugstore concealers, Maybelline or Hard Candy to do a much better job without look so cakey...I'm thinking of trying the Mac Pro-Long concealer now...still searching for my concealer HG....I will not be purchasing this product.

Primer/ Corrector -Almay - Smart Shade Perfect & Correct Primer
rated 1 of 5
annoasis 1/17/2013 12:11:00 PM

This is definitely a gimmicky product. The colour swirls do nothing to correct or conceal...My redness was still there...I have combination skin and this product, although it's moisturizing, after a bit my face gets really oily...This definitely is not good on my skin as a primer. I only suggest this product if you feel your skin is really dry and wanted to moisturize it, this actually leaves a nice soothing feeling. However, the product does not work as it claims and I would definitely not repurchase this...

Makeup Brushes -Bobbi Brown - Ultra Fine Eye liner brush
rated 2 of 5
annoasis 1/9/2013 3:26:00 PM

I bought this brush years ago...I still have it surprisingly but it's only really usable if you want to line your water line...it's impossible to try and line the top, the brush is way too thick! This brush makes no sense! I purchased an eyeliner brush from ELF for $3(!) that does the trick! Don't waste your money...you won't be able to use this brush for much other than lining the waterline...

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Jelly Balm- Luscious 720
rated 4 of 5
annoasis 1/9/2013 2:21:00 PM

Unfortunately, this product is discontinued...but the good thing is I picked up 3 of these at a local make up discount store for $2 each! As part of my evening moisturizing routine, I used to use my EOS in melon and apply it before bed, but after finding these, I find they moisturize a lot more than EOS. When I wake up my lips are still moisturized. The only thing I dislike is the stickiness of this product, it's very sticky and that's why I apply it at night. For the day, I have my EOS with me...

Deodorants -Dove - Go fresh - cucumber & green tea scent
rated 4 of 5
annoasis 1/9/2013 2:15:00 PM

I've tried quite a few deodorants in my day, and it took me long enough to realize that Lady Speed Stick in raspberry was the best fit for me. After about 5 years of steady wear, I feel it's not working as well as it once did...so I'm on the market to explore the world of deodorants again. I received a sample size of this in my Glossy box and was skeptical to try it to see what the end result woud be, but I was pleasantly surprised. It had a fresh scent and actually worked well...It seemed to last as long as my Lady speed stick so I'll definitely be buying the full size soon...Give it a try!

Tinted Moisturizer -Aveeno - Positively Ageless Correcting Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 - Light to Medium
rated 3 of 5
annoasis 1/9/2013 11:59:00 AM

I received this in my Glossybox and was excited to try it out. I'm a medium skin tone with yellow undertones and received light-medium shade which was very orange based...Luckily I have an Asian BB cream that is pretty white in colour and mixing the both gives me a pretty close match to my skintone....I like that this product blends pretty easily into my skin, but I dont feel that it is quite a 'moisturizing' product, it doesnt leave my face feeling dry, but it doesnt exactly leave my face feeling moisturized...However, it does even out my skin nicely...I don't think I would repurchase this as I'd be trying out other tinted moisturzers...but I'll definitely use up the remaining product...

Liquid -Urban Decay - Naked Skin
rated 4 of 5
annoasis 1/8/2013 12:55:00 PM

I love that this foundation really does feel like you're wearing nothing...I had no problem finding my colour...I have warm undertones so all the ones labeled with a 0.5 fall under cool tones and the solid numbers would be the foundations with warm undertones...I was debating between 5.0 and 6.0, the 6.0 however was just a tad darker then my skintone so I went with 5.0... It matches me beauifully, it goes on smoothly, very blendable. The coverage is light-medium, you will likely have to use concealer on your blemishes as I found the foundation evened out my skin, gave me a nice matte, yet glowy look, but you could still see the blemishes through the foundation. This would be a great foundation for everyday wear, however, on special occasions, I would prefer to use a foundation with more coverage. Either way, I would definitely repurchase this foundation!

Treatments (Eye) -La Mer - Eye Concentrate
rated 3 of 5
annoasis 1/7/2013 5:10:00 PM

The La Mer eye concentrate definitely will moisturize your under eye area with a tiny amount, but the price is a bit too steep...I have been using the cream for a bit over a month and have not seen any improvement regarding ant-aging at all. I love that it moisturizes the eye area really well and I enjoy the texture of the cream. However, it costs too much and it doesnt really deliver on its promies. Until I find something else that moisturizes this well, I'll still be using this cream, but definitely on the hunt for something new!

Blush -NYX - Rouge Cream Blush - Tea Rose
rated 3 of 5
annoasis 1/7/2013 2:59:00 PM

When applying my make up, I like to apply my blush last and like to see how it changes or 'lights up' my face...This colour doesn't do much for my skin tone, it appears a bit muddy but definitely doesn't liven up my face like other blushers do...The blush is very pigmented and it's blendable, I found the texture slightly greasy, but I think it's the overall colour that turned me off a bit...I would probably try another colour. Although I wouldnt highly recommend this product, I can't NOT recommend this product.

Blush -L'Oreal - Magic Souffle Blush
rated 5 of 5
annoasis 1/7/2013 2:43:00 PM

Maybe it's just me, but given that I LOVE this product so much, I'm surprised there's not as much hype around it as I would have expected. I bought this last year on a trip I took to the drugstore before going on a first date. I bought Angelic which is a nice, coral shad...it goes on so smoothly and truly gives that airbrushed effect, a little goes a long way. I usually just dab my finger into the pot and take a tiny amount and place it on the apples of my cheeks and then blend it in. The colour is very flattering on my medium-yellow undertoned skin. And my date said I looked great when we went out. You can't go wrong with this blush. Only con is that here in Canada it's quite expensive, at the local drugstore it usually costs $18.

Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush in Pretty Peach
rated 5 of 5
annoasis 1/7/2013 1:58:00 PM

My Favorite, favorite, favorite blush ever! I am a blush junky and continuously reach for this blush! The colour is a beautiful peach colour that gives nice warmth to the face. It looks very natural and fresh...I picked this up by chance because there was a sale at the drugstore and the colour looked pretty nice, I would never have known I was choosing my HG blush at the time! Go out and buy it!
