Treatments -Olay - Total Effects instant smoothing serum
annixa 11/23/2012 7:06:00 PM
For a serum this is great value, I love the product, how it performs and the way it makes my skin feel. I use it every morning before I apply my make up, it smooths out my skin and moisturizes it very well, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and primed. Imo this acts like the perfect mix between a moisturizer and a silicone based primer. It does not even out the skin as well as for example Smashbox Studio Finish or Too Faced's Primed and Poreless but for every day use it is just perfect.

I really love this eye cream, I think that it add brightness around my eyes, smooths the skin and even helps to fill in some small fine lines. It's an HG in my make up routine and since I've found it I cant imagine doing my daily make up with out it, it just works so gosh darn well under make up!

Mascara -E.L.F. - Lengthening & Defining Mascara
annixa 3/31/2012 7:00:00 PM
Worst crap I have ever bought, the low price doesn't smooth over how horrible this mascara is. I bought both black and brown when I last ordered from elf and both of them have been such a let down! The formula is too dry and no matter how much I use it almost doesn't show up on my lashes at all..! Sure I have wuite black lashes to begin with but I have never ever tried a mascara that does so little for my lashes. Cant recommend to anyone, I have thrown both away. Will NEVER buy again.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eye Primer Liner Sealer
annixa 3/31/2012 6:47:00 PM
The primer part does not impress me, it work almost exactlyy like the NYX concealer in a jar as a base but the sealer part is totally awesome. It transforms any powder into a absolutely waterproof eyeliner. A fun way to get another use for all of your eyeshadows :)

Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. - Studio Lock & Seal
annixa 3/31/2012 6:44:00 PM
Love this, when I blend an eyeshadow with this the color stays on forever. It really stays put, the staying power is almost too good :) with that I mean that if I use it with a dark color I most often need at waterproof makeup remover to get it off completely. My favorite way to use this product is to mix what shadow I wanna use on my lower lash-line with this 'cause that has always been one of my problem areas, shadows, pencils etc never stays where they should under my eye but fades downwards and give me raccoon eyes. But this little baby have put an end to that <3

Lip Gloss -Clarins - Instant Light Lip Perfector - Rose Shimmer
annixa 7/25/2011 10:17:00 AM
I got this as a free bee so I can't say much about the price but since it's by Clarins I guess it's quite pricey. I got the pink color and it's a beautiful light, strawberry and milk pink with just the perfect amount of pigment for me! My lips doesn't look too light or dead they just get that amazing dewy rosy look. My lips feels wonderful, soft and hydrated and the best thing imo - the smell! It's smells exactly like spongecake cake batter! Not too sweet or in your face, just spot on cakey fabulousness! I heart it!

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - Enhancing Gloss in True Color: Hype
annixa 6/9/2011 3:13:00 PM
Personally, I would never pay two hundred (Swedish)bucks, about 31$, for a lip gloss, it does not matter if it is the best gloss in the world! But, hey, that's just me. When not on sale all the Smahbox Enhancing Glosses goes for 31$ each, but I bought this Hype on sale for 8$. This color is a perfect beige / pink / cream color on my lips, the MLBB I've been searching for. It has a nice texture,it's just enough sticky to stay long on my lips but not at all tacky or gooey and it gives a nice solid color. It also has a rather neutral and pleasant scent and no disturbing taste. For me, this is my HG nude lip gloss! I recommended this to those who want a high quality, cheap (when on sale) lip gloss in a nice nude color!

Blush -Smashbox - Blush Rush - Flush
annixa 6/7/2011 4:28:00 PM
All the four blushes I tested in the Blush Rush series has a perfect amount of shimmer, they give a glow to your face without leaving large glitter on my face. They are apply like a dream and gives a nice, natural finish on my normal / combination skin. I find all of these to have phenomenal staying power, but my favorite part with them all is the finish they leave on my cheeks. Flush is a light shade of pink that clearly leans towards the cool end of the color spectrum but I think it still fits most skin tones. This might just be the perfect shade of pink! When applied with a light hand it gives that wonderful flush (no pun intended) but it is also easy to build up if you want a more rosy cheek look. All four are highly pigmented and should be used with a light touch unless you have a dark skin color or want a very colorful look! The only down side with these blushers are the price, but if you are used to pay for brands like MAC or NARS this blush isn't out of your price range and I honestly think it performs in their league.

I find all of these to have phenomenal staying power, but my favorite part with them all is the finish they leave on my cheeks. Chiffon is a peach/pink/light coral-color (peach dominates) that's reminiscent of NARS "Orgasm" but without the glitter and plenty of shimmer instead. It is really pretty! A bit muted in comparison and easier to wear for lighter skin tones and over all a better day color on a blush imo. All four are highly pigmented and should be used with a light touch unless you have a dark skin color or want a very colorful look! They are apply like a dream and gives a nice, natural finish on my normal / combination skin. I find all of these to have phenomenal staying power, but my favorite part with them all is the finish they leave on my cheeks. Ecstasy is a golden bronzy color that clearly leans to the warm side but without any orange tones what so ever. It blends into the skin beautifully and is the perfect bronzer for my light skin in winter and spring time.I have a warm/olive colored complexion. (If you wanna see pictures of my skin color just check out my profile here on MUA) When I don't have a tan this is my HG bronzer (teamed up with the Smashbox Untamed Creamy Cheek Color). All four are highly pigmented and should be used with a light touch unless you have a dark skin color or want a very colorful look! Powder -Unlisted Brand - Tikei Mineral Foundation
annixa 5/22/2011 3:45:00 PM
For years I couldn't understand the hype about mineral foundation, until now. I found this Swedish brand and got intrigued since they were so cheap but still got amazing reviews everywhere (and also you can buy samples for 10 Swedish kronors which is great since they have sooo many different shades, everything from really really light to really dark, and warm, neutral, peach and cold undertones!). Ever since I started wearing Tikei's foundation and concealer, about 6 months ago, my skin has gotten clearer and less dry. This make up doesn't clog my pores and never feels too much on my skin. You really have to make an effort to make this look cakey, haha, it leaves such a nice finish. I don't look like I have any makeup on, just flawless skin when I wear this! It conceals nicely with a nice brush, I use their mini kabuki. Love this, will keep using it forever and I would and will recommend this to everyone!

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Lipstick
annixa 11/8/2010 2:42:00 PM
I am not a lipstick girl, most often I just dab on some pink shadow and finish with a little lip balm, but when I do use lipstick instead I tend to reach for this one in nr.455. It's a light pink color, but not really nude-ish looking. I like the texture of the product, how it feels on my lips and the smell/taste doesn't bother me at all since I think it's almost non-existing. Oh, and I like using this color as a creme blush in wintertime! Blends great with my normal/slightly dry/non sensitive skin, looks natural and and leave a non-greasy finish. The color isn't long-lasting but, for me using it in a pale color that doesn't put me of, I just put on more later on if I need to :) To sum it up - it's working. I think it's kinda cheap, if I remember right, and I like the texture.

Eyes -NYX - Glitter Cream Palette in 05 Bronze Goddess
annixa 11/7/2010 1:31:00 PM
Well, I am very chocked that so many seem to dislike this product in such an immense way! I bought this on sale from an online store in Sweden, where the description only said "cream glitter eyeshadows" - but I loved the colors so I thought I'd try it out. I got it at a Friday that I had already made plans to party with some friends that night, so I just had to try it out immediately :) I started by making a nice golden smokey eye-makeup with my Smashbox shadows and then added three colors -the lightest shade on the inner part of the lid, darkest on the outer and medium gold one in my crease. I found the consistency of the creamy glitter-stuff really nice, you do have to blend/mix it together a little in the container with your finger/brush for it to work well when you apply it but that didn't bother me at all. I applied them with my fingers and then went over the edges with a firm brush, not a soft blending one (I hate having English as a second language, it's hard finding the right words - firm, compact, dense - not fluffy, I hope you understand me well enough) to fade the colors for a nice transition. I got almost no fall out while applying, and none what so ever during the night. After oil-based eye makeup remover and face wash this glitter came off quite easily, I just finished off by going over the parts that needed it with a cotton-swab and some toner to pick up stray glitters. Someone mentioned that their palette only had a thin layer of glitter on top and "Vaseline" underneath, mine had about 50/50 and after mixing them together the consistency were great. Not too dry nor not too greasy, just a nice cream that went on easily on my lids. The packaging is sturdy and looks nice. For me the only con is the price, since NYX is a little more expensive over here, this palette goes for about 21 us dollars. I recommend this if you are into glitter, though if you're looking for discrete-looking glitter this is not your thing. Hope this was helpful to some of you!

Liquid -Isadora - High Performance
annixa 10/28/2010 3:22:00 PM
This foundation has a great variety of colors, and many of them matches well with skin that has yellow undertones. It's actually really hard to apply this in a way that makes it look unnatural. It goes on easily, blends like a dream and gives you that dewy and fresh looking skin. I am blessed with good skin, so I cant say much about how well it cover acne, scars and so on but I think it covers well. Hands down the best of the cheaper foundations I've ever worn!
