Treatments -Derma E - DMAE - Alpha Lipoic - C Ester Retexturizing Creme

This is a really great moisturizer. When I got some out of the jar I was worried -- it's thick and creamy feeling, and heavy moisturizers make me break out and tend to turn into grease on my face while I'm still putting them on. But -- based on the reviews I'd read here -- I decided to go ahead and try it. What a surprise! I've been using it for about a month and have only good things to say. It absorbs entirely right away and actually leaves my combo skin looking less oily. It does a nice job moisturizing, lasts all day, has never made me break out, and leaves my skin feeling soft but firm. It's not an arm and a leg, and a little goes a long way. I highly recommend it.

Shampoo -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Hemp Super Moisturizing Shampoo

Jason's is always hit or miss with me, and this shampoo is off by a mile. For my longish, thick, 3a hair it did worse than nothing. I gave it three chances, too -- as a result of which this morning I am stuck at home deep conditioning. Naturally curly hair is hard to keep happy, and I won't lie, my hair was dry to begin with, but this "super moisurizing" shampoo did it no favors. The ingredients look impressive, but it's definitely not equal to the sum of its parts. Stay away if you're looking for a shampoo that will help with coarseness or dryness.

Cleansers -Beauty Without Cruelty - Aromatherapy 3% Alpha Hydroxy Facial Cleanser

I was looking for an AHA soap that I could try at a drugstore price. BWC's is great! It it mildly exfoliating but not drying, leaves my skin clean but not stripped, and has a calming, non-chemical/non-floral smell. Most of the time my skin is normal to oily, and I think someone whose skin was truly dry might do better with something else, but for combo or oily skin, this is a fantastic bargain.

Treatments (Eye) -Beauty Without Cruelty - Green Tea Nourishing Eye Gel

This eye gel does a good job with puffiness and dark circles, and it isn't drying the way some gels with caffeine are. I personally have found that it absorbs well and can be used under daytime makeup just fine. I wear contacts and my eyes can be sensitive to skin care products but the only time I had a problem with this was when I accidentally rubbed some IN my eye -- otherwise, under eye and on lid no problems. The sealable dispenser bottle is really convenient, too.

Gels/Soaps -Caress - Caress Exotic oil infusions Japanese body wash

I wanted to get the Moroccan version, but my walmart only had this one, and since I didn't think my skin could face one more shower with a bar of soap, I thought I'd give it a shot, even though the scent seemed, well... complex, but not necessarily in a good way. The upside: It's really a great moisturizing bodywash. It left my skin smooth and soft, and who doesn't need all the extra moisturizing you can get, especially in the winter. Definitely as good or better than similar DHC or Bliss stuff and so much cheaper. The downside: I personally do not find the smell excessively offensive, but there's no doubt it could be less... something. I don't find that it lingers on me or in my bathroom, but I will try harder to find the Moroccan version when this is gone. But if I can't find it, I would repurchase this.
